Kishi has been trolling for awhile now. Constantly subverting expectations, while simaletaneously undermining his own product. So far we have.

Naruto missing his own inaguration.

Sakura and Karin being friends over their shared experience of Sasuke trying to kill them.

Sakura being labeled the "self proclaimed heroine".

Shin Sr being fodder, despite the power he was packing.

Gaiden essentially being SauSaku baby mama drama. Also Sakura's fainting spells and being a struggling singled mother were things too.

Kaguya being beaten by asspull, deus ex machina.

Madara being negged by Black Zetsu, no diff. After Madara literally soloed the entire NV.

Kabuto's defeat by Izanami aka the beat Kabuto no Jutsu.

Tobidara being Obito and crying over Rin. A girl who never said she even liked Obito in life.

Nagato's suicide by TNJ.
