Link has always been gifted in Kenjutsu, since he was a child. Because of this, he trained in Kenjutsu similar to how Samurai did. Very intense training in Kenjutsu and Physical Fitness became something Link did on the regular Basis. He's mastered every basic Kenjutsu technique. And due to this he eventually became a Kenjutsu master. Creating his own form of Kenjutsu, and Learning other great techniques from an ol' friend named Keotsu.

Link was usually in the wilderness when he was younger. He hunted, fished, and scouted allot throughout the night and day. Due to this he developed advanced senses, basically tool's he needed to survive. Similar to Kakashi Hatake, Link has an advanced sense of hearing, smell, touch, and vision. Of course his vision is nowhere near perception of a doujutsu or smell of an Inuzuka, but it would be considered better than great for a normal person.

Description: Unlike other Kenjutsu Shockwaves which are generally large, Mirage Blade is a small shockwave that’s size is the same as the blade length of the sword used to launch it. Sacrificing power for speed and quantity, Mirage Blade travels at a speed traceable only by 2 Tome Sharingan users and above – experienced Shinobi can also track this attack without a Doujutsu. A large amount of chakra is focused inside the blade in a massive wave. Though the chakra should pour out of the user’s sword, a shell of chakra formed around the blade causes the chakra to rebound infinitely inside the actual blade of the sword. When the user slashes their blade it releases some of this chakra in a white, rippling shockwave; thus the name Mirage Blade. Mirage Blade also carries the properties of the blade used to fire it, as well as its size; this means that if the blade used to fire Mirage Blade is sharp enough, Mirage Blade will pass through solid objects by slicing them in half and continuing on, much like a Wind element jutsu would.

If the target is caught by the first slash, the user will begin to release their chakra from their dominate arm, and start slashing. The end result will be a total of 70 slashes, and depending on the target they will by this time be dead or in critical condition. If survived the target will bleed to death, hence the name river of blood.

Quickly after the knee in the face the user completely spins around while infusing his leg with chakra, you will see the chakra surrounding the users leg, this is how much power is put in to the final blow. The user kicks the opponents torso in the desired location with sheer force. This will knock the life out of any opponent an send the flying, and may even go through a weak enough opponent.

In a split second the user will thrust his/her arm's forward with great force with the bottom of the wrists together and the hands open (second knuckle's bent down). When you're hands make impact with the target the concentrated chakra is released at the same time, this causes a fierce impact that could even level Doton.

Description: The user begins by doing cartwheel into a high spinning corkscrew kick which he uses to jump over the opponent, ending up behind them. After the user successful lands behind them he begins backflipping into the opponent. The users puts his hands on the ground and flips backwards, successfully driving their feet into the opponents head. The user will do approximately 5-8 kicks and the last part ends with the user quickly flipping over the opponent again and placing one hand on the ground and kicks the opponent dead in their chin sending them backwards. With each kick the opponent gets pushed back, and with the last kick ends up in mid-range.
Note:The user can do however many kicks he likes with the maximum of 8.
* After the technique has been executed, the user is in pain from the strain it put on his legs and back. Slowing his movements down.

Background Info.
History: Link was actually born in Konohagakure. His parents were considered acceptable shinobi. Link grew up with his parents, his father tended to push Link harder than he had ever trained, his father knew the outcome. Link especially trained in two specific area's, Kenjutsu, and Taijutsu. Out of hard training, Link passed the Chuunin exams with flying colors.
Link wasn't the type to stay hanging around the village all the time. He wanted to get out and see the world for more than what he was getting. His father grew angry with him day by day as Link mentioned leaving for a while. This was around the age of 14. It got to the point where he couldn't take it anymore, he spoke to his mother, and ended up leaving the village, not for good, he promised his return.
For a while, he had nowhere to live so he basically lived off the land, and in the wilderness. He hunted for his own food and searched for his own water. Due to being in the wilderness alone for so long, he developed advanced senses. He also had allot of time to himself to train in specific area's that he needed to work on. This is a type of training experience that many people don't usually get to go through, he was training himself.
One day Link came across a shinobi that used something that he had never witnessed before. The shinobi used a sword. Link was amazed on how skillful you could be with one weapon alone. Link definitely wanted a sword. He traveled into a nearby village, and met a blacksmith. He asked the blacksmith if he had any type of sword at all, and unfortunately this area was very popular with sword's, and he had no more left until he got the material in the next couple of week's. Link walked out and noticed a sign, the sign said (The Land Of Iron).
The blacksmith ran out of his shop, catching up with link after remembering some important information. He told link of a very special weapon, a sword. It is called the Goddess sword. Not a Katana, but a long double edged blade, very difficult to handle. There are many obstacles and such you need to go through to obtain the sword. And it chooses weather it will let you take it or not. A few have died trying to obtain it, and a couple have made it there, only to get rejected by Goddess. So Link begun his journy.
After a few day's of Hiking over several mountain's, and going through multiple obstacles, Link then found out why many people had died on the trip. The entrance was guarded by a creature, that rushed Link. It tried to swing it's bloody chain at Link, but Link dodged it and launched a kunai at the creature. It missed him. That's when Link made a break for the gate, as soon as he touched it the creature dispersed, and the gate opened.
There it was, the most beautiful sword Link had ever seen. He grabbed it with both hand's, barely pulling it from the slab of rock it was held in, and it came out! Link had obtained the Goddess sword, and the sword detected a Heroic heart full of love and courage. Link made his way back to the land of Iron, where everyone was in shock and Awe due to seeing the Goddess sword after hundreds of years. That's when this Samurai named Keotsu decided to train link in the Kenjutsu art's, where link would soon become a master.
After a long period of time, Link eventually surpassed most Samurai, and he decided to go back home. He said his goodbyes to all of the new friends he made, and he promised his return. He left the Land Of Iron. On the way he ran into a shinobi who had been following him, and placed a Genjutsu under him. Not only one shinobi, a bunch of thieving rogue's.
Now in a short period of time, it was easy for Link to realize this was an illusion, and he figured out how it worked. Of course it wasn't a very strong Genjutsu at all, so the rogues ended up being defeated. But Link looked into this genjutsu thing, and eventually got the hang of it himself. Developing many of his own genjutsu, using it as a strategy in many battles to come. This was at about the age of 15, when Link decided to head back home.
He returned to Konoha, where he was invited with a warm welcome, and heartbreaking news. Before he got back, the attack of the Nine Tail's had already happened. Both of his parents were killed in the battle. After figuring this out, Link decided to visit his old home. It seemed like everything was just the way it should have been.
Link is the type of guy who believes in fate, his only regret was not being there to see his parents in their last day's. He believes in fate, and everything happens for a reason. So he had to move on, and he damn sure wasn't staying in Konoha. Though his visit's after that became more frequent. Now that he found a place there with people he can talk to, and where he can be loved, a guild.
Link still goes on his long traveling trips. And over time he just keeps getting stronger, and his understanding over everything begins to grow.
