I think Son & Vegeta will get two separate halves of the limit breaker/UI before mastering it fully..



Son appears to have the defensive end unlocked while I think Vegeta will get the offensive half..
They fight in those mindsets as individuals so it would lvl both of them out an have them on equal terms as far as battle experience/power..
Jiren appears to have a bit of both (Not mastered) which is why he beat Son. I think he's more adapt to it then Son an is why he's always meditating, to keep it in check an not waste it on the unworthy..

Also!..

We haven't seen the mode that was released for Son which is the wicked aura of the limit breaker..

I think at this point Son will have both offensive/defensive UI but not mastered like the angels & lacking more in the offensive like he was in defensive for the first time.. The mode reeks of more power an his upper keikogi is ripped compared to the current eps where it's still pretty much intact..

I'd like to here your thoughts on the UI Omen an do you think Vegeta will unlock the other half..
It would be awesome if vegeta got the offensive half that way the Vegito fusion would be complete.

I have a hard time seeing Vegeta awakening ultra instinct. He'l probably be like Kelila or Jiren in the end. Just strong.

Vegeta has to think too much so he won't get UI. Only Goku will master it. Vegeta will get it in the next arc.

I like your point about goku and vegeta having two different halves of a complete power. It's interesting and it would be a unforseen turn in the tournament for me

Yeah it fit Vegeta going with "offensive UI". Offensive UI with unpredictable fighting style like Frog Kata for example.

He will awaken in for sure! It is already forshadowed that he will, otherwise he wouldn’t be trying it already. Everyone who knows DB logic knows that Vegeta will awaken it. Whis has trained both of them to get to this point and he told both of them what they LACK to get it. It’s just that vegeta needs to fight an strong opponent like Jiren, that there is NO other way than awakening it. For example: you can’t get stronger by fighting weaker opponents than you, that’s why Goku is happy about fighting stronger enemys because he knows he will overpass his limits. And the same goes for vegeta, just that he does not show it like goku

-Vegeta either fights by himself or with defense UI goku against Jiren maybe
- Vegeta gets shitted on eventually(since he can’t UI dodge)
- now it’s just defense UI Goku who also gets shitted on
- on the brink of defeat, Goku unlocks perfect UI and defeats Jiren


That’d be the hype at route they could go since they love fan service

I'm thinking that the offensive half will be attained differently then the defensive half.. Vegeta sometimes reacts without thinking.. The only problem is when he does he is in rage an not with a clear head.. That might be a big part to attain UI offense..

Well he an Son are opposites an it would fit if Vegeta got UI offense to lvl the playing field between the two..

It suits him to be the offense while Son is defense.. They really complete each other when fighting together an their co-op without talking to each other is also amazing..

No, not really. Anyone who knows DB logic will know that not every transformation goku has Vegeta will obtain it too. Just look at Super saiyan 3, Vegeta till this day still doesn't have it but he can match Super saiyan 3 power with a full powered super saiyan 2. So with Ultra Instinct the same deal applies.

I'd like to see him going against Toppo while attaining UI offense.. He'll be losing or barely holding his own to awaken it an Toppo is just the guy to push him to the limit breaker..

Those two have unfinished business an it would be a hella bout for king Vegeta to show his stuff..

My thoughts on Son an offensive UI is he'll gain it in the final minutes of the T O P but not before Vegeta gets it first..
I think Vegeta will gain UI offense but will be eliminated shortly after..
If there's only 3 to 4 opponents left then Son will gain Offensive UI but it will only be for a short burst to end the T O P..

I also think he will be in UI defense when he activates offense UI to be complete but not mastered..

This modes takes alot out of them an needs concentration to hold it so it won't be mastered in the T O P for either of them but Son will still have the slighter edge because he will have activated UI attack & defend..

It's what I'm leaning to but it's just my theory on how they can finally be on equal terms somewhat..

Well there is still a few universes that are still remaining an the 17 minutes could be pushed to whatever they chose..

UNV 4 still has hidden warriors not yet revealed
UNV 6 still has standing warriors
UNV 7 is still quite active
UNV 11 has 3 of their strongest still standing an I could be missing a unv or 2..

The time is really what they want it to be.. They could stretch it out for at lease 10 eps if they wanted to because the protags need a climax so useless eps are a given just to rid the other unv's..
