Liking and Disliking a character

Ive seen a lot people say in threads specially in sakura threads,
" Why do people hate a character, they are pathetic". Just because someone's emotions for a character is the opposite of yours doesnt make them pathetic, For the people who like/love a character and call people who dislike/hate a character pathetic and stupid, you are too. Why? Because like you said " its a drawing" so in that case you shouldnt have emotions for the drawing either, you should basically feel nothing for the character. Once again JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE'S EMOTIONS DIFFER FROM YOURS DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE PATHETIC OR LACK INTELLIGENCE. "You guys are pathetic for hating a character, ___ is cool and i like her/him" well guess what buddy, same thing can be said for you liking the character. If someone dislikes a character, they dislike a character, if someone hates a character they hate a character, same go for some one liking a character. Im done.

The point of characters in anime and manga is obviously to portray a message and to represent something. They to be liked or disliked. This gorum Has a childish take on the whole 'character bashing' nonsense. I guess the Many underage kids on here don't help that matter either.
