Lightning in real life: Occurence of a natural electrical discharge of short duration and high voltage between clouds and the earth, usually accompanied by thunder.
Lightning in Naruto Verse: Lightning release is one of the basic elemental nature transformation techniques which allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra. This allows for piercing damage and fast movements. The electricity paralyses the target and thus sets the stage for a finishing blow.
Lightning users: A, Darui and Sasuke
Lightning techniques: Chidori, Jigokuzuki: Sanbon Nukite and Raikyu
Ninja: Covert agent in feudal Japan, which specialized in unorthodox warfare. Their functions were espionage, sabotage, infiltration, assasination and open combat in certain situations. With specific regard to Naruto, they are considered the military strength of a country.
Chakra: The moulding of physical energy present in every body cell and spiritual enegy gained from exercise and experience. Once chakra is moulded, it can be channeled through the chakra circulatory system to any of 361 chakra points on the body and then manipulated to create an otherwise impossible effect.
Weaknesses: Lightning is weak against wind, since wind is a natural electrical insulator.
Strenghts: Lightning is strong against earth, since it travels through and breaks the ground apart. A Lightning technique can be strenghtened by using it in conjuction with a Water Release technique, since water is a conductor. This also applies when the target is standing in water or a wet surrounding. A Lightning Release technique is also more powerful when natural lightning is utilized. What is Lightning in Real Life
Lightning is one of the most awesome occurrences in nature along with fire. Lightning is the release of the atmosphere's accumulated electrical energy. A bolt of lightning can travel extremely fast and can itself reach high temperatures that is enough to turn sand into glass. Lightning also causes ionization in the air through which it travels, leading to the formation of nitric oxide and ultimately, nitric acid, which in turn is of benefit to plant life below.
What is Lightning In Naruto Verse
One of the five basic elemental releases. Lightning is the result of the user manipulating his chakra to take on the elemental structure of this element. Utilizing the vibration of one's chakra, the user can increase his speed to that above normal levels although it is not as fast as actual lightning. Lightning can also cause piercing damage and according to the skill of the user, cause numbness and/or paralysis.

Chakra is the molding of physical energy which is present in the cells of oneself, and spiritual energy which is gained from experience and training.
What are Lightning Weaknesses
Naturally it is wind because it acts as an insulator. Water is a two way street for lightning; if used against an opponent, the water acts as a conductor and can paralyze/numb the opponent which coincidentally can do the same thing to the user if your opponent is skilled in water.
What are Lightning Strength
It is fast and its piercing damage is quite a bonus. Lightning is naturally strong against earth since it it can travel great speeds and break the ground apart. It can also be used to disable an opponents ability to utilize earth techniques such as when Omoi pierced his lightning blade into Edo Deidara to prevent him from using any techniques and same for when Sasuke fought against Deidara when he was alive.
Ok good enough Koto , however Gaara please provide me more description on lightning to show your knowledge towards lightning to me.^^
Ligthning is an electrical discharge caused by an imbalance between positive and negative charges. During a storm, colliding particles of rain, ice, or snow increase this imbalance and often negatively charge the lower reaches of storm clouds. Objects on the ground become positively charged which creates an imbalance that nature seeks to remedy by passing current between the two charges.

I begin to meditate and gather my thoughts on lightning. I think over what I love about it, what scares me about it, and also what I dislike about it. I remember thunder storms and how seeing lighting and thunder excites me.

Gather a decent amount of your lightning chakra , then channel it to your palms.After doing so release the lightning chakra from your hand and while releasing your lightning chakra use shape manipulation shape the lightning chakra to lightning bolts , then send that lightning bolts towards my clones.

Description : For this technique, the user manipulates their chakra to form small balls of lightning, which are used to attack an opponent in close proximity.
Advantage : Quick, can counter same rank Doton techniques, stuns the opponent for a finishing blow, can be used as offensive or defensive
Disadvantage : Weak, easily dodged and countered, only effective at short ranges
How would you block/defend against this technique : Use a Fuuton technique of the same or higher rank, since Wind is a natural insulator of lightning. Can also use a close range Suiton technique, which would cause self damage to the Raiton user (just ensure you are not in the range as well). You can also create an earth mud wall to shield you.
How would you avoid this technique : If you're movements are fast enough, you can dodge this technique by jumping back or into the air. You can also create a clone to pull yourself out of the way.
What is the suitable situation to use this technique : In my opinion, the only situation which is suitable is when you are surprising the opponent and you are within close proximity. This technique is too easy to dodge to use otherwise.

Closes eyes and start focusing on my chakra. I build up chakra in my body and increase the vibrations an frequency until it is transformed into lightning chakra . I feel my body start to tingle and the hair in my neck rising. Once I feel I have built up enough lightning chakra in my body, I channel it to my palm and release it. While I'm releasing it, I manipulate the lightning into bolts, aim and then send them towards your clone. Your clone dissapears.
(Raiton: Raikou Oonami) - Lightning Release: Lightning Surge
Description : The user accumulates lightning chakra and then applies shape manipulation to concentrate and condense the lightning before slamming their hands on the ground, which sends a lightning surge through the ground to the opponent.
Advantage : Immobilizes the opponent for a short period of time; if the terrain is wet, the technique will be faster and stronger
Disadvantage : Only effective over short distances, easy to dodge and counter, leaves user open to attack when slapping hands on the ground, weak
How would you block/defend against this technique : You can block this technique with a Fuuton technique of the same rank.
How would you avoid this technique : Jump into the air or jump back out of range. Use a clone to pull yourself out of the way. Question senpai, would creating an earth mud wall work by directing the lightning through the wall instead? And would breaking up the earth work to dispel the tech?

Raiton no Jutsu | Lightning Release Technique
Description : By manipulating their chakra, the user can create small bolts of lightning to attack their target from a short range and to even mid range.
Advantage : Quick, stun effect with probability of paralysis, good against some Earth techniques, can be combined with some water techniques to create a lethal attack.
Disadvantage : Weak against some wind attacks because wind is an insulator, can only extend to mid range after which it loses its effectiveness and is nulled, can be dodged if one is perceptive enough to counter it as it is coming not to mention the surge in chakra can be seen by Doujutsu users such as I.
How would you block/defend against this technique : Well it depends on the technique, like for this one you can use a Wind technique that is of the same rank or higher if you want to overcome it and cause some damage. You could always try a water technique but you have to pay special attention that you do not come in contact with the combination as you could also end up stunning yourself and your opponent.
How would you avoid this technique : If you are in mid air you can always use a wind technique to change your direction or if you are on the ground you can either use a hide like a mole technique (if it is earth), make a sufficient barrier in time, or simply dodge it if you are able to move yourself in time.
What is the suitable situation to use this technique : This could be used either right away in the start of a match or once disorienting your target you can use this to stun him to get in another attack that will hopefully disable your opponent from battle.

How would you avoid this technique : Get yourself out of range of the technique, Use a clone to pull yourself out of the way or take the damage for you. I heard you can use earth pillars or a earth technique that raises the earth to escape the attack, is that true?
What is the suitable situation to use this technique : I think it can be used to keep your opponent on the offensive which can lead to an opening for you, combined with water this can be pretty lethal if used in short range.

After channeling in a moderate amount of lightning chakra, I begin to portion the right amount if it to my hands. I keep this up until I have channeled all of the chakra I had gathered earlier. I then slam my hands on the ground, releasing a surge of lightning chakra from my hands to the ground which travels to your clones location across the ground shocking their body upon touching their feet.
