Lightning the Most Overpowered Element?

I've noticed many things about the Element itself and its by far the most overpowered. Time after time it has been shown uses that far exceed the normal spectrum of uses all the other elements.

This is shown through several examples:

1) Sasuke turning Deidara's Bombs into Duds
I'm sure we all remember this well, if not for the suicidal bid of Deidara to kill himself, the apparent death of our favourite Akatsuki member good tobi and then him revealing himself shortly afterwards as one of the founding fathers of Konoha. Anyway im getting off topic, remember when Sasuke's Lightning Element by pure chance was able to immoblize all of Deidara's bombs.

2) Electricity's known ability to Demagnetize metals and Iron Sand
Another example is lightning's ability to demagnitize metals and its also able to move through metals easier giving the user the advantage if there are any nearby metals.

3) Electricity's strength against both Earth and Water Elements
Most elements have one advantage over another, but because of the special properties Water also becomes weak to Lightning.

4) Lightning Release Armour, no other elemental armours?
No other elements have shown this ability

5) Lightning being weak to the most uncommon element
Elements like Wind and Water are unlucky in the fact they are both uncommon and are weakest to the most common elements. However Lightning is only weak to the Wind element meaning 9 times out of 10 it won't even encounter its elemental weakness.


What do you guys think of the Lightning Element ?

Nop, weak to wind abilities...its a cool ability and works well and has a lot of cool jutsu...but its not the most powerful, because every element has something its strong against and something its weak against.

its like how naruto says that he and sasuke were a perfect match, yamato thinks its because his wind will put out sasuke's lightning, but its really because his wind encourages sasuke's fire...

it also depends on the ninja

it's a little bit overpowerd but also the water element and the wind ( especially) is undepowerd.

well as you say it's clearly OP but still it depends on who its used by and how.. besides being OP in my opinion it's badass like hell i've always loved shining stuff and well yea as itachi said every jutsu has it's weakness but as element yea maybve it is the most powerful

Also lightning is very effective against wood style, because it's combination of both, water and earth.

In Narutoverse it depends on the user and plot (whom Kishi want to win -.-)

For example Hashirama would smack Fourth Raikage despite wood element being weak against lightning as you said.

I remember when pikachu shocked the earth monsters with lightning it became null.How sasuke beat deidara with his plot greatshield im still confused lol nah seriously lightning aint shit against earth except in naruto

its goddamn lightning! and theres no real insulators to effectively counter the techs. the only strong wind users are danzo and naruto and narutos only wind tech is just a stronger rasengan. and we didnt really see a fuuton bullet vs chidori clash. so we dont know how danzo stacks up vs lightning either. its just an OP as shit element. not to mention the shape manipulations that come with it. sasukes GIGANTIC chidori spear, raikage lightning shields, kakashis lightning cutter, kakashis lightning clone. its an awesome and powerful element that instantly can make a user of it top tier

with what? mokuton is worthless against him because of speed and raiton shield. but also hes too fast for genjutsu and regen wont help when he gets paralysed by the lightning punch. 4th does have a mid range attack too which pierced susano. his father would be even more effective cos of black lightning

We have seen maximum Raiton users while other styles are seen less. Remember how a simple mist nearly disabaled Kakashi from attacking head on. Raiton is basically the strongest element in destructive capacity but also the most chakra taxing. But ultimately it depends on the user for their proper application.
