Okay, so we can skip the basic basics ^_^
What can you tell me about the lightning element chakra-wise? How would you theoretically use your regular chakra in order to create lightning chakra? I suggest you sit down, relax and focus on your breathing. Try to imagine the chakra flowing and the processes it goes through in order to "transform". Describe everything you feel.

Lightning the most dangerous element as if not properly controlled will damage the user,it is fast as well as dangerous as evading is difficult
Lightning is one of the elementals that deals with a user producing lightning by increasing the frequency of the chakra,lightning has been known cutting,piercing effects,numbing and paralyzing abilities(Much like electricity),alot of ninjas have this element in the narutoverse most of which are kumo nins,when being used,lightning "spikes" the chakra flow

Dandy, looking for now at its relations with other elements. Explain why lightning reacts as it does with the others in the basic 5.. i.e. why is it weak to wind? why is it strong against earth? why does it go through fire? etc.

Lightning is strong against earth as the vibration of the lightning dismantles the earth.
Lightning is weak against wind as wind is an insulator which doesnt allow the flow of lightning.
Lightning passes through fire as both are are intangible(Like 2 ghosts walking through each other)
Lightning is neutral against water as the water content nulifyes the lightning and flows it away

Lightning is created by vibrating chakra and increasing its vibration, the chakra will be extremely fast and have piercing effect.
While sitting still on an high mountain where its raining with lots of thunder and lightning, i simply sit in the meditative position ignoring the sound and feeling of the heavy rain concentrating on the thunder while making sure i slow down the picture of the lightning in my head, i immediately close my eyes while picturing the thunder in my head, i continue by concentrating my chakra all over my body, making sure the chakra is enough, i start vibrating the chakra at a very high speed, i could feel how intense the frequency of the lightning his,as it starts vibrating, i simply release through my hands as keeping it too long inside me will result in damage.
When increasing the vibration of chakra, it feels alive and dangerous as well, something that will damage the user if not tended to, it makes the user feel fast, focused,free, it gives the user the feeling of self confidence and self control and the ability to make decisions quickly.

Let's get this started. The Six Paths of Pein are here to help with the training, mostly as punching bags though. xD I'll answer any questions you have. To start performing lightning jutsu you need to get a strong mental image of the essence of lightning (a description of lightning's characteristics) and convert a portion of your chakra to the lightning nature. Afterwards, transfer the chakra to your hand and release it in the form of small lightning bolts. Try shocking me.

I start by concentrating a large amount of chakra into my hand, I then continue by vibrating the chakra, increasing its frequency and by so successfully nature manipulating it into raiton chakra, I then continue by releasing the chakra in your direction, aiming for your chest, on releasing the chakra, I shape manipulate it into a bolt of lightning

I start by concentrating a sufficient amount of chakrainto my hand, I then continue by thinking of pure lightning, its speed, its effects, how it burns, how it electrocutes, how it is always has direction, Subconsciously I start vibrating the chakra which I have gathered, increasing its frequency and by so successfully nature manipulating it into pure raiton chakra, I then continue by pointing my hand at you releasing the chakra in your direction, aiming for your chest, on releasing the chakra, I shape manipulate it into a bolt of lightning which travels towards you, hitting your chest and dealing damage
*The lightning hits my chest with a painful jolt and a bit of smoke drifts off it*

Perform that jutsu again. There's no need to describe your mental image anymore, a simple molding of raiton chakra will suffice. Also the lighting travels across the ground not under it. Make sure your replies are as detailed as possible.

I start by concentrating my chakra into my hand , I then turn it into raiton chakra, continuing by slamming my palm on the ground releasing the gathered chakra on contact with the ground , I then manipulate the released chakra turning it into a sort of blast of lightning which travels on the ground towards you.
