Lightning Release
Lightning Release is one of the 5 Basic Elements. It is known as Raiton in Japanese. Lightning is greatly used as a way to pierce into the targets body and paralyze them. The power of ones Lightning technique can be greatly increased if the user utilizes Natural Lightning in the surroundings. Like Wind Release, the user can infuse their Lightning chakra with a weapon as seen when Sasuke allowed his Lightning chakra to flow through the Sword of Kusanagi. Although not as fast as natural Lightning, it still is difficult for the enemy to dodge a Long - ranged Lightning technique.
Strong Against:
Water
Although many might argue about this; lightning is quit strong against water as it can eletrify the water and can even use it against the user
Earth
Earth is the weakest element against Lightning among the Basic 5. Lighting can be easily used to penetrate any sort of Earth Release technique and at the very same time pierce through it or cancel it
Weak Against:
Wind
Wind is a natural electrical conductor and thus can easily cancel any sort of Lightning Release technique
Neutral:
Fire
Since both Fire and Lightning are in Partial State (I don't remember the exact word), they would pass through each other

Lightning techniques are separated in 4 categories, techniques that are capable of paralyzing, basically shocking the nervous system of the target so much that it shuts down, when affected by this type of lightning technique, it makes you incapable of moving, or even utilizing ninjutsu techniques, basically your whole chakra circularity system shuts down temporarily, depending on the power of the shock that you took, example of techniques like this is Chidori Nagashi, Wave of inspiration and more.
Second type are techniques that are capable of piercing through objects, this is done through compressing the lightning chakra so much that it condenses, having a solid effect when it has an impact with an object, example of techniques like this one are like Chidori and Raikiri.
Third type of lightning techniques is techniques that cause numbness to the body, basically making you incapable of feeling your limbs for a short amount of time, lightning techniques like this are not really concentrated that much nor does it have a large amount of chakra, the only technique that's concentrated and causes numbness is Chidori, and it's variations.
Fourth and last type of lightning techniques, is techniques that stimulate the body's nervous system, using lightning to increase the neural synapses and push the body to a limit where its speed becomes on par with the Eight Internal Gates, example of techniques of this category is the Lightning Release Armor, used by the Third and Fourth raikges.

Now all we have to do is let your body access lightning chakra to be able to use it further on, this is done by you holding a chakra infused paper, this paper is a special kind that defines chakra that floats within it, in case of lightning release chakra, the paper will wrinkle, determining that the chakra infused inside of it is lightning.
What i want you to do is hold the paper in between your palms and try to flow lightning chakra inside of it, this is done by you forcibly applying your lightning chakra out of your body, just clear your mind, and imagine the shape of lightning bolts, or the shape of lightning energy spreading, i'm going to demonstrate it to you, so i can help you with it.
I perform the whole set of handseals, as i infused my right palm with a large amount of raw chakra, using nature manipulation then to turn the raw chakra into lightning energy, spreading around my palm and connecting to the ground, a circle of crackling lightning energy is formed in a circular shaped pattern around me onto the surface of the ground, with small electric bolts connecting to it.

Teuchi now takes the piece of paper/leaves from Ryujin and begins to convert his raw chakra into his Raiton chakra. After doing this Teuchi proceeds to channel his Raiton chakra to his palm and then into the piece of paper. Nothing happens at first and thus Teuchi begins to concentrate. Only a few seconds later the piece of paper wrinkles and his hand lets out a spark.
