"Raiton, or lightning release, is one of the five basic chakra natures. It allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra, allowing for piercing damage and fast movement.
One of the cons of Lightning release is that it is easily countered by wind. Lightning techniques are a very good counter to earth techniques because it travels through and breaks apart the ground. Lightning release is strengthened by water techniques and can be used well in conjunction to each other.
The most common users of lightning release are the shinobi of Kumogakure.
Lightning release is a composing part of the Storm Release Kekkei Genkai.
Lastly, Lightning Release techniques are amplified when utilizing natural lightning. That is all the knowledge I have on Raiton."

You know enough for us to begin training 
A storm begins to rumble over head as I say this, thunder booming and lightning strikes visible on the horizon, no rain however. I want you to take a seat and meditate on everything you know related to lightning, let your mind and body be filled with the sounds and the intense energy of the storm, let your chakra flow naturally and let me know how you feel after a while.

*sits down and starts to meditate, not noticing any immediate changes. The storm wasn't distracting, regardless of how loud it was. After about an hour of meditating, she stands up* "I feel...powerful. The storm is transforming my chakra, or more so, altering it. I feel energized."

Hmm, You should feel a connection with the storm. Your chakra should be moving much faster then you've felt before, full of energy and vibrating within you like you are buzzing with energy.
I'll try again then...
*Sits down and meditates, blocking out most noise, eventually forgetting she's inside a storm, or even emeditating. She loses herself for a while, and suddenly opens her eyes. She stands up.*
"My chakra is moving fast, like I was taught to believe lightning was. I can feel the storm inside me, as if the storm is me and I am the storm. I feel oddly hyper, as if I just want to be moving constantly. Energized. Chakra flying through me as fast as light."

Now lets see if you can give that energy simple commands. *hands you a piece of chakra paper* This is chakra paper, it will react to elemental chakra in specific ways. I want you to hold it in your hands and mentally command your fast moving energy that is lightning chakra, to flow down your arms, into your hands and into this paper. If done right it will crinkle up like foil.
Now lets see if you can give that energy simple commands. *hands you a piece of chakra paper* This is chakra paper, it will react to elemental chakra in specific ways. I want you to hold it in your hands and mentally command your fast moving energy that is lightning chakra, to flow down your arms, into your hands and into this paper. If done right it will crinkle up like foil.
*She funnels her chakra into the paper, already knowing how to transfer chakra around her body. The paper slowly starts to fold a bit at the edges, and gradually, the paper starts crackling and crumpling.*

Yes, even that little change shows that you are able to mold some lightning chakra.
I would like you to use this template every time you reply to a technique.
Try to be as detailed/descriptive as possible. All you have to do is copy the PHP code.

Also, I will post how all of the techniques work. I want you then, in your own words, to describe to me what you are doing to get the desired result.
Now, using that same method without the paper in your hand try to release the energy out of your hand, it should produce some lightning bolts depending on the level of chakra you use.

I am sorry for not posting often, for the record. I've been dedicated to...other things.
It's not really an excuse, but I feel I need to explain my absence from training.
As I write this I am also working on a reply to another training, so you see it's not just this thread.
Once again, I apologize. I understand if you'd like to drop me. It has been far too long since I replied.
The only thing that jarred me to reply was my need to defend the village from attackers.

Whenever you combine it with a Suiton technique, it strengthens. This can easily be used to gain an advantage.
It can be used to counter Doton techniques, which is a basic chakra nature.
It can be used to counter Ice Release techniques due to the Suiton within, breaking up the ice.
Ways to counter:
Any Fuuton technique will counter it easily.
Any technique that induces movement can enable the target of this technique to avoid it.
A wall of strong material such as Steel Release can counter it.

- Raiton no Jutsu is able to quite easily break through D-rank earth jutsu.
It is a very fast technique as the nature of Raiton chakra is that it is supposed to go fast.
It is very easy to perform, only having to manipulate your Raiton chakra into your body and launch it.
- As a D-rank jutsu, it cannot easily counter an opponents jutsu unless it is also very weak.
It will not do too much damage when it hits. In fact, it does hardly any.
It is a very small attack, which requires precision that in the heat of battle you most likely will not have.

No worries, take your time. I rather you take your time and give me (or professor sarutobi) a nice and efficient reply, showing your knowledge of it, and your understanding.( Which will make Ps and I feel like we are doing our 'job' correctly.) Than replying quickly and not even analyzing the jutsu itself. xd

This sucks that it is only limited to short range, but there is another jutsu of a higher rank that would work better than this, quite similar too. Simply channel your lighting chakra in your hands, and slam it on the ground releasing it alllllll at once to create a omnidirectional surge of lighting reaching short range around.
Pretty self explain here lol. Release your lighting chakra around your entire body to create a shield that covers the body from D-C rank doton jutsus (Due to elemental affinities).
Basically the same as above; difference is that this one can explode and blow your enemy back. Only if the enemy is short range though, remember that. You can use this to destroy a low rank earth jutsu too (D & C rank, not all)
Channel chakra in your arm or legs and swing it towards the enemy in short range of you to release a wave of lighting bolts.
