lightning blade and chidori? HELP

so, when kakashi does it, its called lightning blade and when sasuke does it its called chidori. chidori in my opinion sounds alot cooler but back to the point, whats the difference? why the different names? kakashi made it and taught sasuke so why is it that they have different names? this may have been asked before and im sorry bout that but still, what do you think?

I think Sasuke's Chidori is as strong as Kakashi's Raikiri, so I don't think there's any point. I think Sasuke's Chidori is also a Raikiri.

neither is stronger. they intensity of both jutsu can be fluctuated at will by the user. (so go kiss your mother and go to bed(sasuke hater)). Plus he didn't invent it, the technique has been passed down in the land of lighting like turkey at thanksgiven.

Raikiri is a more enhanced and stronger version of the Chidori

But at this point in time it's practically the same. The only difference is the users.
-When Kakashi uses it it's called the Raikiri. He's made it his technique.
-When Sasuke uses it it's called the Chidori. He's made it his technique.



They're technically the same technique because they work on the same basis. But by definition they are different. The Raikiri is stronger than the Chidori. It's like comparing the Rasengan with the Oodama Rasengan.

You know I was going to say the exact same thing. Someone says in the normal Naruto when Kakashi used the Raikiri that it was a more enhanced version than the Chidori
