Rufus was waiting at the west side of the training ground for his scheduled training session with his Sensei. He was under the shade of a tree, reading a book on lightning release and how it is practiced in the ninja world. The book amused him so much that he couldn't wait any more to start learning the arts of lightning release. Kakashi Hatake, you are famous Raiton Style user. ,he smirked as he closed the book, and laid down on his back to take a nap.

Toshiro walks to the training ground; a plain field with an abundance of walls made of earth, ranging in size and structure. He looks at the piece of paper he received earlier this morning, and looks at the person napping. "I assume your name is Rufus? And if so, i also assume you haven't gathered any prior training for this subject... Good, good." He questioned, while crumpling the paper and throwing it aside. With his right hand, he grabs a scroll, rolls it out, and nonchalantly tosses it to the student. "This scroll contains questions that i'd like you to personally answer before we commence with the actual training. Some don't have anything to do with the lightning element, but is still important to know, especially for those starting out. Take your time answering them, detail is what i look for." Meanwhile, Toshiro walked over to a nearby wall and took a nap against it.

Rufus was soundly asleep when Toshiro approached him. He was having a nice dream about the time he spent with Jiraiya, when suddenly the sound of somebody talking brought him to reality. As he opened his eyes, he saw a silver haired kid standing besides him which made him wonder what this brat was doing here. As he went on speaking, Rufus realized that the kid was his trainer. Awed by the situation, Rufus raised himself of the ground and stood, face to face with his trainer. After hearing the instructions carefully, Rufus took the scroll and unraveled it. It contained a total of 8 questions, containing questions related to basic knowledge a ninja should possess.
❶ For the first question "What is a ninja", my answer is: Ninja or Shinobi is the term used to denote highly trained personnel in a country or village. A ninja possess high levels of spiritual and physical energy. Their main job is carry out missions/orders given to them, by the high ranking officials. In the early days, they were tools at the disposal of the higher ups. A true ninja is someone who values his villages future over his own life and does everything in his power to preserve it. Somebody who values his comrades life and never abandon him. There are 5 great shinobi villages, each having their own ninja system. The ninja system was enforced at first to ensure peace and security for the villagers, but now they are used as a means to wage wars. Ninja's possess training in Taijutsu, Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, the last 2 being optional. On a side note, the ninja's who abandon their village and betraying their oath are classified as Rogue ninja's. Rogue ninja's act on their own or form alliances to form mercenary organizations for their own benefit. My sensei described a Ninja in a simpler way.A ninja is someone who endures without backing down, someone who has the guts to never give up. Someone who pushes forward to keep his ninja way.

❷ On to the second question "What is Chakra" : Chakra is a mixture of spiritual and physical energy. Physical energy is the energy stored in each cell of a being i.e; the energy of the body. Spiritual energy is the energy of the mind and on'es never dying spirit. Everyone has chakra, but only ninja's can manipulate and mold chakra. A perfect balance of Spiritual and Physical energy is needed to mold chakra. Chakra is the essence of performing various ninja arts like Ninjutsu, Genjutsu or Taijutsu. To perform Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, ninja's may need to perform handseals which are used to mold chakra and perform the desired techniques. Chakra is manipulated in two ways to bring forth techniques in Ninjutsu
✦Nature Manipulation: There are five basic natures namely, Fire, Earth, Water, Wind and Lightning. Nature transformation is the process by which a ninja uses his elemental affinity to transform a desired part of his chakra into an elemental form. A ninja can perform elemental transformation by transforming his chakra to resemble a particular element, in terms of properties.
✦Shape manipulation: Shape manipulation is the process by which, the already released chakra can be shaped into a particular form. Doing so will increase the power of the technique.
In the arts of Genjutsu, the user pours his chakra into the desired target to disrupt the chakra flow. This induces illusion upon the opponent. In Taijutsu, the chakra is used to boost one's speed, power and overall reflexes. The chakra flows through a system similar to the human blood circulatory system called the chakra circulatory. in here instead of the blood, chakra flows through. The chakra flowing through are regulated at eight gates called the Eight Inner Gates. These gates regulate the flow of chakra, thereby putting a limit. If one where to open the inner gates, the regulation on the chakra flow would be broken making the ninja faster and stronger. the downside to this is that, his body would suffer damages due to the strain.

❸ Onto the 3rd question, "What is Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu": These are 3 basic arts used by Ninja's. They are,
✦ Ninjutsu: These are also referred to as Ninja arts. Ninja arts utilizes the chakra to perform techniques. In this, the chakra is molded and manipulated to perform techniques. Raw chakra can be molded and shape manipulated to perform techniques like the infamous rasengan. Another aspect of ninjutsu is the nature manipulation i.e; imparting properties of one of the basic elements to the chakra and use elemental ninjutsu. A ninja may have affinity towards 2 elements. In rare cases, shinobi's are known to have affinity towards 3 elements. Another form of ninjutsu is the combination of 2 ore more elemental chakra to bring forth a new nature like wood release. Wood release is a combination of both water and earth chakra. Ninjutsu can also be combined with taijutsu, where the user uses his chakra to amplify the taijutsu damage incredibly. An example would the Lightning armor.
✦ Genjutsu: Genjutsu or Illusionary arts are techniques used to induce illusion upon your foe. The working of genjutsu is in the essence that, the user pours his chakra into his opponent and uses the chakra to disturb his normal chakra flow. By doing so, the user can induce illusions upon his foe and mess with his head. Once caught in a genjutsu, the only way to release is by surging your chakra to flush out the foreign chakra or by surging the chakra circulatory system with the help of a comrade. The effects of genjutsu usually falls under paralysis, unconsciousness , confusion, insanity etc.
✦Taijutsu: Taijutsu is the most common form of ninja skill. Taijutsu refers to the hand to hand combat. Most techniques expend little to no no chakra. Chakra is used in taijutsu to amplify one's speed, power and reflexes. Powerful forms of taijutsu consumes huge amount of chakra and puts enormous strain on the human. Taijutsu's of the highest caliber are performed after the release of the eight inner gates. By doing so, the user pushes his body over the limits of any normal human being, granting him supernaturla strength and power. A simple punch from an released user can create shock waves in the air.

❹ Onto the 4th question "What are the basic elements": The basic five constitute of elements that are present in the nature namely, Earth, Fire, Wind, Lightning and Water. As mentioned earlier, to perform elemental ninjutus chakra is transformed into elemental chakra, which are then molded and manipulated.
✦Katon or Fire release: In this form of elemental ninjutsu, the user imparts properties of fire to his chakra inorder to bring forth Fire style techniques. The user is granted the ability to create and manipulate fire, fueled by his chakra. Katon is strong against Fuuton and weak against Suiton.
✦Fuuton or Wind release: In this form of elemental ninjutsu, the user imparts properties of wind to his chakra inorder to bring forth Wind style techniques. The user is granted the ability to create and manipulate wind, fueled by his chakra. Fuuton is strong against Raiton and weak against Katon.
✦Raiton or Lightning release: In this form of elemental ninjutsu, the user imparts properties of lightning to his chakra inorder to bring forth Lightning style techniques. The user is granted the ability to create and manipulate Lightning, fueled by his chakra. Raiton is strong against Doton and weak against Fuuton.
✦Doton or Earth release: In this form of elemental ninjutsu, the user imparts properties of earth to his chakra inorder to bring forth Earth style techniques. The user is granted the ability to create and manipulate earth, fueled by his chakra. Doton is strong against Suiton and weak against Raiton.
✦Suiton or Water release: In this form of elemental ninjutsu, the user imparts properties of water to his chakra inorder to bring forth Water style techniques. The user is granted the ability to create and manipulate water, fueled by his chakra. Suiton is strong against Katon and weak against Doton.
Even though some elements are weak to another, they can be combined to produce a greater technique. for eg: Wind is weak against fire, but wind style can be used to fuel the fire and increase the destructive power of the fire style technique. Lightning release can be used in conjunction with Water release to electrocute the foe.

❺Onto the 5th question, "What is a kekkei genkai": Kekkei Genkai or bloodline limit are abilities that are passed down through generations. These are traits that provide one self with extra-ordinary abilities that sets them apart from other individuals. Usually Kekkei Genkai users form a clan to practice teachings of their unique abilities. Kekkei genkai abilities may allow one to combine two basic elements to create a new element. For eg: Lava-combination of earth and fire. Ice-Combination of wind and water etc. Some KG grant abilities to their eyes, such KG's are known as Doujutsu. Some of the famous doujutsu are Sharingan, Byakugan and Rinnengan. Some unique ninja's have more than one KG's such as Mei Terumi. She is known to possess both Boil Release and Lava Release. Another class of users can combine 3 elements and create a new element having entirely different properties as of the constituent elements. Such users are said to possess Kekkei Tota.

❻Onto the 6th question, "What do hand seals do": Hand seals are sign made using hands to assist in the molding and manipulation of chakra. Hand seals are used as a form to draw forth chakra from one's existing pool of chakra. In earlier times it was believed that higher forms of techniques required many hand seals, but that is not the case. Once a user possess mastery over a technique or a particular field like Elemntal ninjutsu, genjutsu etc, he can perform techniques by utilizing his own set of seals or even a single hand seals. Since hand seals are used to aid one to bring forth chakra, once mastery over a technique is achieved it becomes easier for him to do it.

❼ Onto the 7th question, " Explain how size, form, mass and characteristics matter just as much as rank and strength when two techniques are used in opposition": Rank of a jutsu is not the only thing that needs to be taken into account when one needs to counter a technique. The size and form of the technique play an important role. If a small earthen projectile be used to counter a huge water wave, it'd be inadequate and ineffective. The earthen projectile may force through the wave creating a small hole in the water wave but the water would still carry on forward as long as the user of the technique fuels it. If two opposing elements or different ranks clash(eg: Water and Fire). Let the fire techique be S-rank and Water technique be A-rank. The techniques would cancel each other out and create mist which would disperse in a few seconds.

❽ Onto the 8th and final question, "What is Nature manipulation, and shape manipulation?" : As said earlier, Nature manipulation is the process by which chakra is infused with properties of a particular basic element. By doing so, the chakra will resemble with the respective element. This chakra can then be molded and manipulated to create the respective elemental release techniques. shape manipulation on the other hand is the process by which we shape the released chakra to take a particular form and control it's movements.

As Rufus finishes saying the last sentence, he collapses to the ground feeling thirsty and tired.

"Alright, Magnificent job! More than what i expected! Number seven is the question most seem to get stuck on, and you've managed to explain it rather well. As an example, i always like to use Rasengan vs Exploding Water Colliding Wave. By elemental strengths and Weaknesses, the Rasengan should be powerful enough to keep you unaffected, however, in this case, Exploding Water Colliding Wave is far larger than the Rasengan and would easily engulf it before the Rasengan would be able to destroy through it, because of the massive amounts of water. Adding onto the hand seals, each and every techniques are performed differently. Hand seals are sort of what makes each technique different; they allow you to mold chakra differently to perform a specific technique. Hand seals are obviously, essential to a shinobi, and we're going to be learning how to use lightning techniques through hand seals as well, therefore you'd have to learn the many different seals that exist." Toshiro quickly whips out a large scroll. Unrolling it, he grabs a paint brush and draws a beautiful portrait of the hand seals. "This is the 12 hand signs that exist. Anyways, we'll be using this awesome drawing as a reference for when we encounter techniques that require hand seals.

Toshiro randomly grabs Rufus by the collar, and throws him out in the open plains. He scurries back, far far away while watching the student from afar. At the top of his lungs, Toshiro yells, "YOU, YOU CAN HEAR ME RIGHT?!" He leaves no time for the student to answer, and continues, "ALRIGHT. THIS PART OF THE TRAINING, I WANT YOU TO RELAX. CLEAR YOUR MIND, AND MEDITATE. FOCUS ON YOUR SURROUNDINGS... FOCUS ON THE LIGHTNING AROUND YOU." As Toshiro says that, he performs some hand seals and causes a lightning storm to occur, around the student but of course, Rufus would be unaffected. "DONT WORRY, I'LL MANIPULATE THEM TO NOT HIT YOU... ANYWAYS, JUST MEDITATE AND THINK OF NOTHING BUT RAITON, THE PROPERTIES OF RAITON, AND ANYTHING ABOUT RAITON... I'LL GIVE YOU SIX HOURS." Toshiro lowers his voice, noticing that the capitalized letters was simply annoying. "Once you do that, I have a few questions. Tell me why you want to learn lightning. What makes you interested in learning it? And also, how would lightning chakra feel/flow? Give me anything and everything you know about lightning, from its strengths and weaknesses, and combinations with other elements, to Kekkei Genkai's and basically, anything you know about water. I will fill in the gaps that you might be missing. Now, start your meditation. I will be back in six hours. Good luck!" Toshiro forms the ram hand seal as he speaks so you're able to hear his lowered voice from afar.

Rufus carefully memorizes the hasd seals quickly. Suddenly, he is thrown by the collar to a distant location. Rufus couldn't comprehend what juts happened, the little sensei picked him and threw him with ease. As he lands, Rufus gets up and dusts off himself only to hear his sensei speaking from afar but the weird thing was that he couldn't pinpoint where the sound came from. After hearing the instrction completely, Rufus shouts out loud "I'll give it a shot, Sensei". Without wasting any time, he starts to perform the seals one by one to see if he had memorized it."Tiger, Snake, Rat, Ram, Monkey, Ox, Horse, Hare,Dragon, Dog, Boar, Bird". Then he does the seals faster, just to get used to the feeling.

Rufus then sits down, while a thunderstorm brew above him.Soon bolts of lightning started to rain down near his location, but none seemed to hit him. Rufus quickly took the meditation stance and closed his eyes. He cleared his mind of unrelated topics and focused only on lightning. Even though his sense of vision was gone, he could still hear,feel, smell the lightning around him. The sound of lightning crackling through the air, as it made towards the earth could be heard loudly. Lighting as it strikes the earth and as it passes through the air, discharges some of it's charge which could be felt by Rufus. The charge left in the air, slightly rubbed against his skin without harming him. The charge surrounding had on effect, it made all the hair on Rufus's body stand. Rufus could smell the lightning in the sense that as it passes through the air, the lighting ionizes the air i.e; the gases present in the air. It smelt like something metallic burned. Soon is mind was focused only on lighting. He could feel the lighting bolts make it's way to the ground. The discharged charge surrounding him, became his own charge as he couldn't feel a definite boundary between the charge and himself. It was as if his body was made of lightning. As time passed, Rufus became more and more concentrated on the lightning around him even able to sense the vibration of particles suspended in the air. He could feel the vibration of the lightning as it coursed it's way through the air and impacted on the ground. After feeling one with lightning,Rufus opened his eyes to only notice that the six hours his sensei had granted him passed.

Why I want to learn lighting release, the answer is simple. Lighting is a great element and one I'd consider as the fastest element in the basic 5. The speed and destructive power of lightning is what attracted me mostly. The destructive power of lightning is truly uncomparable, even to the likes of large scale earth jutsus. For me, Lightning style is my 3rd favorite element after water and earth. I want to learn the basic elements to create a balance between them, understand their strength and weakness and find methods to overcome them.

Lightning chakra feels similar to actual lighting surging through your veins. The chakra flowing through would be vibrating at a high frequency. Lighting element is one of the Basic Five elements. The basic five constitute of elements that are present in the nature namely, Earth, Fire, Wind, Lightning and Water. Raiton as mentioned above is a destructive force of nature. Even so, not all techniques of raiton are used as a means to destruction. An example would the lighting armor, which enhances the speed and reaction of a user by surging lightning through the nervous system. With speed comes force, and that is the principle behind lighting style. Of the basic 5 lightning style jutsu's are the fastest even though they are not as fast as actual lightning. Lightning style jutsu's can have one of the following effects on its opponents like paralysis, electrocution, burned body due to electricity surging through and even result in loosing consciousness.It's relation ship between other elements is as follows

✦Earth: Lightning style is strong against earth style. The lightning could surge through the earth and crumble them. Lightning is known to possess one rank advantage over earth style techniques i.e; A-rank Lightning can neutralize S-rank earth style techniques. Another aspect of Raiton jutsu is that if we have a means of knowing an earth jutsu is about to happen, we can channel lightning jutsu's to the ground in order to neutralize the doton chakra.
✦Fire: I'm of the belief that the two style can't interact since they lack form. For me Lighting style jutsu's would phase through Fire style techniques. Fire style techniques are used as means to setup thunderclouds, inorder to utilize actual lightning to create jutsus.
✦Water: Lightning style can be used in conjunction with water style to increase the damage. The water act as a medium to conduct electricity. But the size of the jutsu matters in this aspect. If the water release jutsu is huge, the possibility of the lighting getting discharged is very high, thus decreasing the effect of the lightning jutsu.
✦Wind: Wind style is strong against lightning style. Wind is a natural insulator fro electricity. This cuts the path of lightning, preventing it from making its way through. Wind style techniques have one rank advantage over lightning style techniques.

The two kekkei genkai's that come to mind are Storm release and Magnetism release. In storm release, both lightning and water are combined in proportions to bring about the effect. Magnetism release is an advanced form of lightning release. The lightning chakra is channeled into a metal body to create an electromagnet. The user of this style can even turn his body into an electromagnet. Another form of lightning is the black lightning used by Darui and the 3rd Raikage. Lighting release affinity are most common for shinobi's of kumogakure. The famous lightning style users are The 4th Raikage Ay, Sasuke and Kakashi. Ay uses the lightning armor and is considered as one of the fastest shinobi's in the world. Sasuke developed jutsu's like Kirin which is nearly unblockable utilizing speed and power of the natural lightning. Kakshi signature technique Raikiri and it's variations are known to be extremely powerful and can even combat natural lightning.

"Marvelous Job, Rufus..." Toshiro congratulated, not as surprised as last time as he did expect something like this. "It seems you know what the lightning element is, and how it's manipulated and used as chakra. I'd like to add that natural lightning is far stronger, and evidently faster than chakra-produced lightning. Natural lightning can be made through heating the skies, where conditions would be just right for lightning to appear. And yes, you covered just about everything. The lightning element is an element with one of the most destructive force; it's able to take down large earth constructs because of its destructive nature. Most lightning techniques revolve around piercing, speed, or paralysis to deal the offensive. The lightning element is perfect for offensive purposes, but it lacks defensive purposes... So, keep that in mind when in battle."

Toshiro reaches into his ninja pocket, taking out a square piece of blank paper. "So, let's go back to how you describe lightning, and how you think lightning chakra flows. From your suggestion, I believe you think that the lightning element is a powerful, and destructive element. You can feel the adrenaline, back when the thunderstorms were around you and the vibrations once it struct the ground, which shows just how powerful and destructive it is. Think about how lightning vibrates, and how it affects the areas it hit, the loud sound it created... Now, think of that as you channel chakra into that single piece of paper. As you may or may not know, this small piece of paper reacts to certain elemental chakra" Extending his hand outwards, Toshiro gives Rufus the chakra paper and continued to explain. "Send your chakra there and perform nature transformation, try thinking of the destructive properties of lightning when trying to channel lightning chakra. If done correctly, the paper should wrinkle from where you're holding it. Alright, if you need any assistance, don't hesitate to ask. We'll continue with the techniques after this is done correctly."

Rufus was over the roof with the praise from his trainer, even though he was a kid xD. After hearing the instructions from his trainer, he reached to grab the piece of chakra paper and sat down. He crossed his legs and slammed his palms together, sandwiching the piece of paper between his palms. Remembering his previous trainings, he starts to draw out chakra from his reservior, slowly and steadily. Still the crackling sound of thunder echoed through his mind as he tried to remember everything he remembered about lightning. The thunderstorm around him, helped him keep focused on what lightning is and what it's properties are. With that in mind, he slowly started to transform his gathered chakra into lightning nature chakra by vibrating it slightly. Carefully he starts to drive the vibrating chakra through his palms and channels it into the chakra paper. Rufus could feel the paper getting wrinkled slightly. "I'm getting the hang of this..".He knew he got the properties right before, so what went wrong. Then it struck him, the chakra was not vibrating fast enough. "A higher frequency ought to do the trick". With that realization, Rufus went into a deeper state of meditation focusing only on lightning and how it vibrates. He starts to vibrate the gathered chakra at a small frequency at first and then increased the frequency of vibration by the second. Soon his chakra was vibrating to a level where he could feel the chakra surge through his circulatory system and nervous system, energizing in the process. He had successfully imparted properties of lightning onto his chakra. Rufus then channeled his vibrating chakra onto the chakra paper, sandwiched between his palms. A moment passed as a slight breeze lifted his hair, when Rufus opened his eye. He slowly got up from his position and extended his hand fro his trainer to see. The lightning chakra channeled through the paper had wrinkled it completely.

Tobirama smiled and congratulated the student once again. "Perfectly done! It seems you've easily performed nature transformation on raw chakra to change the properties of it to lightning. Good good!!" Tobirama lifted up a 1 meter piece of rock, shaped like a rectangle and was fairly thin. "Alright, it's about time we learn our first technique. It's a basic technique, thus it doesn't do that much damage but of course, if used creatively, it should prove to be useful. Now, remembering the feeling of lightning striking down around you, and the overall properties of lightning, i want you to apply that to your chakra yet again. Similar to what you did earlier with the chakra paper. After you call upon your lightning chakra, send it around your palm and materialize it in the form of small lightning bolts. Normally, this technique would not kill the enemy. This technique requires aim, like most techniques. So, once you create the lightning bolt in your hand, launch it towards this earthen brick. Aim it at the center of it to easily pierce it in half. You could create more lightning bolts, but each one would be weaker as opposed to one lightning bolt." Tobirama placed the brick on top of a large boulder and moved away, just in case the student missed. "Afterwards, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how would you use this in battle offensively?"

Rufus carefully listened to his trainers instruction, word by word. Without wasting time, he started to gather chakra from his chakra pool, slowly but steadily. As he drew the chakra, he started to vibrate the chakra with a smaller frequency at first and then increased the frequency to a greater scale. Thus Rufus successfully imparted properties of lightning onto his chakra. The next step was to release the chakra and manipulate it's shape. Rufus raised his right hand up, with an open palm facing at the earthen block that had risen above. Soon a blue aura is seen to emerge around Rufus's right palm as he released his chakra, he starts to mold the chakra giving ti a definite form while manipulating it's shape to resemble that of lightning. The blue aura, slowly turned into small sparks of lightning as the crackling sound resonated in the surrounding. Soon his palm was covered with bolts of lightning. With great focus, he released 4 bolts of lightning towards the earthen block. Rufus manipulates the bolts of lightning to converge together as it neared the earthen block and in a flash, a small explosion occurred as the earthen block crumbled down into mere chunks of rock. Rufus without changing his stance, turned to look at his trainer.

✦Being vague as it is, it can be channeled into the ground to neutralize earth style jutsu which attacks from below (C-rank or below)
✦The bolts of lightning can be released from any part of the body, as the description didn't cover anything on that aspect. As such, the jutsu can be incorporated with taijutsu to stun the target as you strike them."

The disadvantages of the jutsu are:

✦Being a low ranked jutsu, it can easily be countered and lacks power.
✦ Even if we are successful on landing a blow with this jutsu, the damage it'd cause is minimal.

For me, I'd incorporate this jutsu with taijutsu. Similar to the basic Water no jutsu, I can use it to enhance the damage of my taijutsu attacks and effectively stun or paralyze my opponent, even for a short time.

Tobirama moves towards the student, and stands arms crossed, approximately 3-4 meters away from him. "Alright, this next technique is pretty interesting. Now, i assume the feeling, and properties of lightning is still fresh in your head. Channel chakra to your palms, and slam your palm on the ground while performing nature transformation on your chakra to change the nature of it into the properties of lightning. Once that is done, send it out, towards the enemy, or any target you'd like, and send it through the earth. Release the chakra in the form of lightning through the earth and manipulate it to travel towards the target, which would effectively shock their feet. In this case, i want you to do it to my feet. Once you're done, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use this in battle." Tobirama stands straight, ready for a slight shock.

Hearing his trainers tip on how to use it battle, Rufus nods "I'll keep that in mind sensei." Rufus listens to the instructions for the next jutsu. After hearing the instructions clearly, Rufus prepares to carry it out. He clears his mind out and draws forth chakra from his chakra pool, steadily. Upon gathering enough chakra, Rufus starts to vibrate the chakra at high frequencies. Having done it before, Rufus faces only little difficulty to perform it all over again. Upon completely transforming the chakra into lightning natured chakra, Rufus begins to pool the chakra on to his hands. He could feel the lightning chakra coursing through his body. Without hesitation, he slams his palms on the ground and clasp the dirt under as he channels the lightning chakra he had gathered onto the ground. Whilst releasing the chakra, he molds the chakra in order to give a definite form and shape manipulates it to resemble currents of lightning. Using his chakra as a guide, Rufus directs the currents of lightning blitz through the ground in a zigzag manner,and pool under his opponent's feet before shocking him. Rufus then slowly gets up from his crouched position.
The advantages of the jutsu are:
✦I think it can work well with suiton jutsus where the user can summon the water anywhere on the field. Especially the ones that summons water under the opponents feet or traps them in an orb of water.
✦It can be used to target a particular area rather than a particular person.

The disadvantage of the jutsu is that:
✦It's short ranged and lacks power
✦The user has to keep his hand in contact with the ground in order to guide the current which leaves an opening for the enemy to capitalize on.

I would incorporate this with sution jutsus like gushing water imprisonment or jutsu's that helps me summon water under my opponent.

It's also pretty handy because it is a weak technique, and because of it, tremors on the ground wouldn't be as strong as usual, as opposed to using an A-rank lightning technique coming from the ground where the rumbling feeling from the lightning would be stronger and easy to feel."

"As you would guess from a lightning technique of this rank, it is not very powerful but of course, it is still usable. Like the previous technique, channel chakra to a palm while increasing the frequencies of the chakra in order to perform nature transformation. Think about the properties of lightning as you perform the transformation. Once you've done so, swing your hand at any angle, or way. One thing i like is the versatility on how you can release this; you could release it horizontally, vertically, diagonally, etc so long as it comes from your palms. Anywho, release the lightning chakra in the form of lightning while performing shape manipulation to send it out as a wave of projectiles shaped like lightning bolts." Meanwhile, Tobirama makes a small, and somewhat thick shield of earth. "Perform it and aim it towards me, in order to penetrate my defenses. Once done, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use it in battle, in terms of combinations and all." He holds the shield up, and awaits for the attack.

Once done, he starts to make the gathered chakra vibrate at a great frequency, making the vibrating chakra pulse through his body. Next, he channels the Raiton chakra into his dominant hand i.e; his right hand and concentrates the raiton chakra in his palms. Without hesitating, he swings his hand horizontally from left to right with an open palm, releasing the gathered raiton chakra. The released raiton chakra is condensed and molded to take the form of lightning, and at the same time shape manipulated to the take the shape of small bolts of lightning. The bolts of lightning bolts towards Tobirama, aiming to destroy the earthen shield he had created. Rufus then gasps and speaks,

The advantages of the jutsu are:
✦The lack of description can be taken advantage of. I've searched to get a visual of the jutsu but I can't seem to find it but I'm guessing the wave can be as wide as needed be and that there is major plus point.
✦Can be effective in dealing with earthen based projectiles or a barrage of rocks which are lunged towards the user.
✦Mid-ranged reach is another plus

The disadvantages of the jutsu are:

✦Lacks power and strength
✦Damage dealt is minimal

I'd like to use this jutsu in conjunction with taijutsu. Another way to implement it, is to use it as a form of surprise attack. Being weak, the sound and light the lightning produce will be minimal and as such, it can be launched behind a wave of water or a block of earth, as a means to take the enemy by surprise. It'd also be helpful to bring down someone who has gone aerial and within the reach of the jutsu.

"Great Great. Indeed this is vague, but keep in mind, it is simply a D-rank jutsu. Therefore, it wouldn't be anything grand. Furthermore, That technique is a projectile based techniques. All projectile-based techniques have one advantage, and one disadvantage. The advantage is, you're able to attack right after, because they're self-sustaining (most are), but the disadvantage is they are easily dodged and you cannot control them once released." Tobirama explained, as he walked the student towards an area with slightly larger stones and boulders of all shapes and sizes. "Alright, that concludes D-ranks. We're now moving onto C-ranks, a set of techniques that are slightly stronger than the last, and of course, cost more chakra. We'll be working one jutsu at a time for this."

"Alright moving on to the first C-rank lightning technique we'll be working on. This requires three hand seals: Tiger Snake and Dog." Tobirama said, as he performed it himself to act as an example, then after, pointing at the three hand seals at the portrait he created. "Channel chakra in your hands while increasing the frequency of your chakra to perform nature transformation to change the nature of it into the properties of lightning. Once done, i want you to send it out as a current of electricity. It is similar to a stream based technique, so they have their disadvantages of course. One cool thing about this is you're able to maneuver it around obstacles, within reason, making it pretty useful. It can extend outwards to hit multiple targets, and have a longe reach. Anyways. Please perform it to pierce through the clones i placed around the battlefield, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use this offensively in battle." Tobirama creates water clones, spread out from mid-long range.

Rufus carefully listens to his trainers word, soaking in everything about the technique. After that Rufus strings together the handseals Tiger → Snake → Dog , drawing the necessary chakra from his chakra reservoir. Once done he starts to make the gathered chakra vibrate at a high frequency, a lot higher than what he did for the previous techniques. After successfully transforming the chakra nature to raiton, Rufus directs the chakra to his hands. He then, extends both his hands forward with open palm facing the clones. While doing that, he releases the channeled raiton chakra into the air, molding it into the form of lightning and shape transforming it to resemble currents of lightning. The currents of lighting quickly races towards the clones, as Rufus guides the currents and steers them away from obstacles. Once struck by the lightning, the clones quickly drop down as a stream of water. Rufus then takes a deep breath and turns his attention to his trainer,

The advantage of the jutsu's are:

✦Longer reach
✦Can target multiple targets
✦Can be manipulated to stay clear of obstacles that might be thrown towards the technique( with logical reasoning obviously)
✦ I'm assuming it can be channeled via ground and used negate doton chakra

The disadvantage of the jutsu are:

✦The need of handseals increases the time of preparation for the technique
✦Constant control is needed to maneuver the currents, as such the user can't perform other techniques and is open to attacks.

I would use it if I go areal i.e; aboard a flying summon etc. This would very well work as a guided missile. Another possible use will be to deception. In midst a mist, I can control the lightning to maneuver around the mist confusing my opponent, making him on his toes as he struggles to find where the attack would come from. Although I don't think it'll work in this RP, alot of meta-gaming here.

"Pretty much, their are risks and you do have to abide by timeframe still. And hmm, using it through the ground is risky, because it doesn't state it in the jutsu description like nagashi, and you need 3 hand seals to do so, with this technique. Anyways, nice job, I love your way of usage. Very creative! Let's move on." Tobirama complimented.

"This next technique works particularly well with water techniques, but you can still use it individually. Simply gather chakra in one of your hands and perform nature transformation to change the nature of it into the properties of lightning, high frequencies and whatnot. Upon doing so, release it in the form of a stream from your hands and aim it towards that fairly sturdy, B-ranked earth wall." Tobirama commands, as he points at the wall 5 meters to the student's left. "Now, im not really a fan of lightning but i must say, this technique is quite useful. You can use it to create small surges of lightning, where it is not as compressed to shock the enemy, or a simple wave from your hands. It depends on how you would use this technique. You can also use this on water techniques, by sending it out and shaping it around certain water techniques to enhance the paralysis effect it would have when combined with water. Though, this is hard to use with water without Yin-Yang training, so i sugggest using a clone, a summoning, or even another ally to assist you. Perform it, give me advantages, and disadvantages, and how you would use this in battle!"

Hearing the compliments form his sensei, Rufus was quite pleased. Now he begins to draw forth chakra from his reservoirs. The next step was nature transformation, which Rufus does by making the chakra vibrate at a high frequency. Soon Rufus could feel the chakra pulsating at a great frequency, similar to before. Next he directs the raiton chakra to his arms as he extends both his arms outwards, a little. Rufus then releases the gathered raiton chakra in his arms to air, while molding the chakra to take the form of lightning. At the same time, Rufus doesn't forget to use shape manipulation to shape the lightning in current of lightning that quickly envelopes the are before him. Rufus then quickly directs the currents to bolt towards the earthen wall, completely destroying it upon contact.

The advantage of the jutsu are:
✦Range of the technique can be increased by channeling through a water source
✦It can work as a perfect defense once you get into close range combat. There is no need for hand seals, making the jutsu quicker to perform.
✦The technique has solid power, enough to rip through solid rocks.

The disadvantage of the jutsu are:
✦Without a water source the range is limited
✦If the water source is large, there is a chance of the lightning current being dispersed evenly through out the water thereby cancelling out any real effect.

Other than the normal attacking method, I could use this as a last minute defense for Doton based jutsu. If jutsu like Earth Release: Bedrock Coffin are used, the user can release the field of electricity to rip through the rocks,freeing the user.

It is one of the few defensive lightning techniques, and one of the few that works well. I want you to gather chakra throughout your entire body and all of your chakra points while performing nature transformation to change the nature of it into the high-frequency chakra of the lightning element. Once done, release it throughout your entire body, and use the lightning chakra to cover yourself with electricity. The electric field should protect you from physical contact- but sadly, this can only be used to defend against others' assaults once, and there are some limitations. Certain taijutsu techniques, if high enough, would affect you because of their sheer strength. Of course, the enemy would get shocked a bit, but other than that, their attack would go through and you'd take a lot of damage, depending on technique used... And, using this is very risky. I'm sure you know why." Tobirama begins to sprint towards you as he says, "Perform it to defend against this kick! Afterwards, give me advantages, disadvantages, and what kind of techniques you'd defend using this technique!" Upon reaching the student, Tobirama would strike the student's abdomen with a forwarding palm thrust.

After successfully transforming the nature of the chakra to lightning, Rufus directs the chakra through his chakra circulatory system, spreading it evenly across his body. The next step was the release, Rufus slowly released the chakra while molding the chakra, to the take the form of lightning and shape manipulating the lightning in order to clad himself in lightning. Soon the lightning covers his body entirely, creating an armor of sorts. As Tobirama strikes Rufus, Tobirama is recived with a sudden shock, frying his hands.

The advantages of the jutsu are:
✦Would work as a great defense against taijutsu
✦Whilst clothed in the armor, offensive mode is possible but I don't think I'd recommend it.
✦Using the lightning armor as a base for other techniques

The disadvantages of the technique are:
✦Not a strong enough armor
✦Open to wind based jutsu


I probably won't use this technique but if I ever do, it won't be for defensive purpose. Once clothed in the armor, I would probably use the D-rank basic lightning jutsu, to send bolts of lightning from my body in 360 degree manner.It won't be strong,but it can still stun a person.

"Nice, nice. The major weakness of that technique is its vulnerability to water. You're covering yourself with lightning, your entire body. A simple technique like water gushing imprisonment can increase the power of the lightning and electorcute you. If you do find yourself in a situation where the armor would act against you, i suggest deactivating it as soon as possible, aha. About your combo, i don't believe a D-rank lightning technique is capable of releasing that much lightning bolt, since you suggested that it would be at a 360 degree area-of-effect, but if you were to create that many, all of them would be fairly weak."

"Alright, let's move on." Tobirama taps on the student's shoulders, teleporting both of them to a new training field: near an uphill of a mountain. "A completely situational-based techniques that i personally, wouldn't use because of how situation-restricted it is. Anyways, gather chakra and perform nature transformation to change it to the properties of lightning, while performing the hand seals. Once done, clap your hands together and release the lightning chakra through the ground and uphill, weakening the rocks and makes it fall and crumble as it falls. This is hard to use, because the rocks can hit you as well... So, use it wisely. Anyways, perform it to dislodge those rocks." Tobirama commands, while pointing at the rock all the way uphill. "Don't worry, we'll teleport before we die. Once you're done, give me advantages, disadvantages, and how you would use this in battle"

However, this is extremely location-based and needs to be done uphill of a mountain for it to work.
