There is a formula Kishimoto frequently uses in the Naruto manga. Its basically Yin and Yang. Example; Left is Darkness, Right is Light.



• Left Rinnegan Eye represents darkness, and the Right Rinnegan Eye represents Light.

Notice the staffs, left is the Moon, the right is the Sun.

• Same with Mangekyou Sharingan; Tsukuyomi(Darkness or Moon) is used in the Left and Amaterasu (Light or Sun) is used in the Right.

I thought the rinnegan was yin-yang not just yang. Since it is the power of both ashura(yang) and indra(yin) AKA rikudo's power.
