Taking a deep breath she sighs once more before slumping down against a tree. She waits patiently for him, while fiddling with grass

Upon hearing the voice, Ryuzetsu double takes just to make sure it was him. Smiling brightly, she jumps to her feet.

Just like with everything else, she only knew the basic information; still she hoped for the best anyway.

"Everything? Alright then... Fire...burns things"

She stared at her sensei in the eyes, as she made, what she thought a witty remark. She was always one to be amused easily.... Despite her seriousness lightning the atmosphere through a joke, she sounded insincere, when that was not her intention.


"Katon, is one of the basic five elemental natures. Out of the five, it is the one that lacks in versatility, when you look at it's offence to defence ratio, Katon , in it's raw chakra form, rates higher in the offence section due it's raw destructive behaviour, also it's one of the hardest to control.In order to use it, one must mould superheated chakra in their stomach and..."

She demonstrates a blowing out, exhaling motion

"... Releasing it through the lungs then through the mouth...end result can come in various forms. The Katon natured chakra, however can be used in different ways, for example channelling the chakra through gun powder, ash, explosive tags or weapons."

She bites her lower lip a little, and after a few seconds she continues.

"Everything has it's pros and cons. Katon is is stronger against Fuuton as the oxygen in the air feeds the fire causing it to grow stronger, while Katon is weakest with Suiton as water has a cooling effect, and smothers fire. Extinguishing it... However when Katon and Fuuton are combined, the flame will grow and may over power the water"


Ryuzetsu takes a deep breath and fidgets a little..What else could she say, she was getting stuck...or was she just getting nervous?

"The chakra nature itself is most common in the Land of fire; the Sarutobi Clan, for example, late Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen, and Sarutobi Asuma, and Uchiha Clan , for example Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Sasuke, are famous for it..."

"Uh...the KGs that...uh... Involve Katon are: Lava Release - Fire in conjunction with Earth and Boil Release - Fire in conjunction with Water. "

Upon fully understanding the structure, Ryuzetsu gave a firm nod at her sensei. This was going to be so exciting, after all fire...she loved fire.

(Katon: Ryu Kaen Bakufuu ) - Fire Release: Dragon Flame Blitz

Description: The user inhales and then exhales, shooting small balls of fire at the opponent.

Strong points
*During hand to hand combat, the user can surprise their opponent with this attack. Adding more damage
*The user is able to conjure multiple fireballs in a short space of time
*When in a pinch, the user can use this as once again as a surprise to get away from their opponent.

Weak points
*It is a low ranked jutsu, therefore easily evaded
*It doesn't cause much damage.
*The range isn't very far therefore the user would have to get move in to closer distances to their opponent

Combinations-strategies

If the user has a toad summon, it can be used in conjunction with the Toad Oil bullet to increase it's offensive attributes.

It can be used with Fuuton, just like with the oil, to add volume. As The oxygen in the air feeds the fire.

Ways to counter this technique

It can be parried with a higher level Suiton technique, as it will smother the fire.

Also, it can be blocked by a Doton wall.

Ryuzetsu calms herself. Closing her eyes, she feel the hot chakra in her in her stomach. Warming her, filling her with energy. She opens her eyes and takes a deep breath then quickly releases multiple fireballs towards her sense is clones.

(Katon: Kaen Shuriken Ranbu ) - Fire Release: Blazing Shuriken Dance

Description: The user will throw several shuriken infused with fire at the enemy and then, through a mental command, ignites them to cause extra damage.

Infuse fire chakra into several shuriken so when you throw it and command it they will ignite and hit and burn my clone.

Strong points
- A lot more damage is dealt because it is combined with an element, in this case fire. If the opponent has been nicked, or even gashed. Not only would it cause slightly burning to their garments and hopefully spread, it would also inflict an even more severe wound.
- It's better than throwing a normal shuriken.
Weak points
- It can easily be put out by water
- If this only works with shurikens then if I don't have said equipment then I can't perform it.
- It can be blocked for example by a doton wall.
Combinations-strategies
One can enlarge the size of the flame by combining it with fuuton to feed the flame. It can be used for traps or set off explosives.
Ways to counter this technique
A powerful wind technique can blow it away, with a chance of the shuriken going back to the user. It can be stopped by a suiton technique, or blocked by a doton wall.

Ryuzetsu fetches out her shurikens. She looks at them and wonder how in the world will she light them on fire. She takes a deep breath and takes her stance, her the shuriken in hand she concentrates, she feels the chakra building up, she lets it seep into the shuriken , infusing them. Ryuzetsu proceeds launching the shuriken at the clones. Before they made impact, she concentrates once more, and ignites it. The shurikens hit the clone and sets it ablaze.

( Katon: Komakai Kaki ) - Fire Release: Small Fire

Description: The user spews a small fireball.

Simply use your fire chakra and by releasing it from your mouth release a small fireball and send it at my clone.

Strong points

- no hand seals required therefore it's quick to use
- Good for a quick offence when you're in a pinch
- When in close combat, this can be used as a surprise attack


Weak points

- Doesn't do a lot of damage.
- Can be blocked with ease or evaded.
- Poor aim of the user can affect the usage of this technique.


Combinations-strategies

If the user has set up traps before hand, the user can use this technique to direct the opponent to a certain spot where the trap is if they decide to keep dodging this technique. It can be used in conjunction with Fuuton to make the flame bigger, or with oil release techniques to ignite a bigger flame.

Ways to counter this technique

Simple Doton wall will do the trick, or a higher level Suiton technique to douse it. The opponent can also dodge this technique since it's small.

Ryuzetsu gathers up the chakra in her stomach, she feel as it accumulates inside her. Once she feels that there was a sufficient amount, she thinks of the nature of fire, it is hot, the heat of the chakra insider her intensified. She lets it travel to from her stomach to her lungs, keeping the heat in mind. Just as she was about to release it, she changers the shape and nature of the chakra and spews out a good sized fireball at the clone

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Tiger, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball.

Do the hand signs Snake → Ram → Monkey → Tiger then using your fire chakra blow out a flammable gas from your lungs/mouth and then have he gas get in contact with a fire or spark so it creates a large fireball that hits my clone.
