Dean makes his way to the training field in order to find another student who was in need of training. Ah yes, he needed training in Fire. One of Dean's favorite elements. He quickly dashes in order to not be late. He never cared about time, and was probably a bit drunk at the moment too.
"Well, hello there. I am Dean Winchester of the Nekura Clan. I will be teaching you in the element of Fire. Tell me everything of Fire in the Naruto Verse, it's strengths and weaknesses, KG that are formed from it and notable users of the element. As much detail as you can!"
Dean then waited for his student to reply with a good answer.

Katon is one of the five basic elements. The defining traits of katon chakra is that it is hot and powerful. It is the main affinity of the Uchiha clan and it is mainly used for mid to long range attacks. It can be used with shuriken to increase damage and to burn the target. It is strong to fuuton since air feeds fire. It is weak to suiton since it takes away the heat and suffocates it. Common elemental combination attacks involve use with fuuton to increase the power of the fire. It can be combined with other elements to create the kkg and stuff like lava, dust, steam, scorch, steel, and blast release. Notable users are Uchiha, Uchiha, Uchiha, Hiruzen and Jiraiya.

"Alright, that answer is alright for Fire. It is quite the element though, it can be described as untamed and ferocious. This element can cause extensive damage to the terrain and this is something you should remember. Fire also isn't very versatile, always in the form of projectiles, streams and shapes of animals. Not very varied, but useful nonetheless. It's an offensive element, and be careful when you use it. Now..."
Dean looks for a small paper in his bag, which he then quickly takes out. This was no ordinary paper though, it had special properties which allowed it to change it's physical properties when chakra of a certain nature was channeled through it. It was chakra paper.
"Here, take this chakra paper and channel your Fire based chakra into it. If successful, the paper will be burnt to a crisp right before your eyes. Now, mold your chakra and channel it into the paper through the hand that's holding it. Describe what happens in great detail!"
Dean then waits for his student to do as he says.
Dean looks for a small paper in his bag, which he then quickly takes out. This was no ordinary paper though, it had special properties which allowed it to change it's physical properties when chakra of a certain nature was channeled through it. It was chakra paper.

"Here, take this chakra paper and channel your Fire based chakra into it. If successful, the paper will be burnt to a crisp right before your eyes. Now, mold your chakra and channel it into the paper through the hand that's holding it. Describe what happens in great detail!"

Hidan takes a paper and holds it in his hand. He uses both his physical and spiritual energy to gather chakra in his hand. Hidan uses his will to make the chakra powerful and aggressive like fire to mold katon chakra. He then flows the chakra into the paper in his hand so that it reacts by burning to a crisp.

Hidan stands up straight and gives a smart salute.
"Ahem, yes sir sensei!"
Hidan snatches another sticky note from sensei's hand and holds it between his thumb and index finger. He then places his left hand on his right arm, around the wrist and spreads his feet farther apart so that he is in a sort of chidori stance. Hidan holds the paper out in front of himself and begins to concentrate. Hidan uses the power from his spirit and from his physical body to concentrate and gather chakra. Hidan attempts to remember and take on the feeling of fire, ferocious, wild and destructive. He uses the will of his whole being to give his chakra these attributes of fire in order to mold katon chakra. After that, Hidan uses his focus and will to move the chakra out into his hands and into the sticky note held in his hands.

Dean sees that his student was almost there, and decided to encourage him. Perhaps this was what he needed, a push so that he could perform it correctly. Dean wanted to laugh as he screamed out;
"What happens to the paper? Focus more! Think of unbearable heat and power!! Burn that paper to a crisp!"

With the katon chakra already gathered into his hand, hidan tenses all his muscles while concentrating on the dinky little piece of paper. He keeps in mind the stingingly hot nature of fire. Hidan puts all his focus on manipulating the katon chakra to heat it up until it becomes hotter and hotter, Hidan shapes it to create a tongue of flame to engulf the paper and burn it to ash in just a moment.

He finally did it! The Fire element was indeed a bit to control, but Dean would make him a master of it within no time. Smiling, Dean throws some alcohol on the ash. The smell of it though. Gah, Dean was already a bit drunk, and they just started out. He smiled as he said.
"Good! Now, we will move on. First, my method is as follows. I will explain the technique to you, using detail and diagrams (pictures lol). Then, I want you to perform it, give me at least 2 advantages and disadvantages and also, how you would use the technique in battle. If you have questions, just ask! Don't be shy to do so."
Dean then stood upright, and his face became stern. He was serious now.
"The very first technique of Fire Release. First, I want you to manipulate your Fire based chakra. Mold it, and feel it form within you. Inhale, as you mold your Fire chakra, then suddenly exhale, releasing the Fire chakra from within your stomach! This allows you to shoot out several balls of fire that would burn the opponent but not cause extreme damage. A very basic technique, use it on my clone."
Dean creates a clone that runs towards Hidan.

No hand seals that's nice. Quick and easy way to set things on fire which can be used creatively to cause destruction and would be neat just for the background's atmosphere I suppose. It's super weak and won't do much to harm an opponent as a direct attack. It's a pretty easy attack to notice as well and it isn't exactly a knockout move anyway. I'd use it to light a dry field on fire or to light an opponent on fire in close combat.

You will then launch them towards your opponent. Once launched, you will focus onto the shuriken and ignite them through mental command. This would not only surprise the opponent but also cause extra damage. Use it on my clone."

Hidan pulls out ahand full of shuriken and concentrates on gathering chakra. Hidan remembers the feeling of fire, ferocious and powerful. He forces his chakra to take on these attributes of fire in order to mold katon chakra. He flows the katon chakra through his hand and into the shuriken which he then throws forward at the clone. In mid flight, Hidan uses the katon chakra infused into the shuriken to form into blazes of fire surrounding the shuriken made to light whatever target they hit on fire.
I like this one since I can maybe combine it with some ninjutsu stuff. It's easy to perform and can light stuff on fire, that's neat. It's not as powerful as some other elemental shuriken techniques and it's easy to see coming as well as easy to counter. I'd use this to prematurely trigger any paper bomb techniques used by the opponent.

With the katon chakra gathered, he tightens his stomach and expels the katon chakra through his mouth in the shape of a ball of fire to fly forward and crash into the clone, setting then on fire.
Better than spreading the already weak attack into multiple shots against one target. No hand seals is good for lighting stuff on fire close up. It's easy to recognize, weak and just a weak direct attack I guess. I'd use it to detonate paper tags like with the other weak fire ball jutsu stuff.

This time you form it into a flammable gas that you release from your mouth towards the opponent. This flammable gas is capable of exploding into a large fireball once it comes into contact with a spark or fire. A nice technique to get the opponent weary to use Fire, and also allow you for some combinations. Use it on my clone by covering him with the gas and then shooting another fire technique towards it, causing it to explode."

He focuses on making his chakra destructive and ferocious to mold katon chakra. He gathers the chakra in his lungs where he manipulates it to shape into a gas, potentially ready to catch fire and explode. Kazuma spews it out through his mouth to surround the clone in a cloud. After that he shapes more katon chakra in his lungs and spits it out in the shape of a small ball of fire at the clone, causing a fiery explosion due to the flammable gas.
I guess this would be good against people that like katon like you said and also people that like raiton since the lightning could set it off I suppose. The opponent has a good opportunity to counter the technique. The gas can be blown around before it is set off by using fuuton techniques. Kazuma concentrates on gathering chakra. He reviews in his mind the feeling of fire. He then focuses on making his chakra hot and ferocious to mold katon chakra. He gathers the chakra, sending it into his fists. He shapes the katon chakra to create fire around his fists as he lunges forward at the clone with a barrage of punches to send the clone back on his butt, bruised and burnt.
This one doesn't need hand seals which is nice. It can be used to immediately send a few fire balls to set something on fire or it can enhance freeform taijutsu kinda stuff. It's too weak to be helpful against most jutsu and it's easy to deal with. I'd use it for lighting things on fire or just for style.
