The world grows colder (metaphorically) and living conditions are getting increasingly harsher. I believe this world is heading towards another world war and if not the third World war is inevitable. What are we to do live in darkness? Are we to rise and fight the opposition only to end up in a even more corrupt system. Is life a reoccurring cycle of hatred and war. Will human beings ever evolve to look past differences? Is this even the right place to be posting this? A second american revolution is imminent. The federal reserve steals from our country. The debt will never be paid. Our once great country is in a free fall into bankruptcy. The Chinese are beginning to colonize africa and get some of its resources. The current government systems our failing. Teenagers and adults a like are more concerned with celebrities, music, and fashion. Does the world need saving? If so who is to save it? Us? Me? You? Public Education is on the decline. Our country is slowly being disarmed. My fellow citizens aren't knowledgeable about their government they follow blindly. Society grows dumber governments grow smarter. Earth is in constant danger of meteor impacts. Our sun is believed to have a expiration date. We have enough nukes and insane people to nuke the world 1000x over (I may be exaggerating). What are we to do? Our we to fight? Or just succumb to LIFE'S DARKNESS?

Problem is our nature, we want more than what we have, we only care for ourselves, we are egoist, we like to imitate others, we have no respect for others but we want to be respected, we are selfish, each one of us has a dream of its own. And wether we accept our reality or not its still right there in front of us.

Humanity is on a downfall. The new generation is more focused on swag, celebrities, drugs and other bullshit that closes their eyes to the injustices that befall people each and every day. What has happened to our innovation, our creativity? I dread to think of what may happen to humanity in the long run. Our race will probably be killed off by war that engulfs the world because of our inherent nature to be selfish and greedy.

Actually you have 3 options :

1) If you can't beat them, join them. ( succumb as you said although I always read succumb in a more kinky voice )
2) Try to make the world a better place in some way. For example try to help other people who are in need of help, or invent something, or gain power and influence the system ,attempt to change it (whatever the means) or simply enough be a better person yourself and try to influence other people too. In other words, get better.
3) Ignore the rest of the world and continue your own life, trying to reach your personal nirvana, not being irritated by the shit that surround you.

(There is actually a 4th option...suicide. But that's for weak people )

I've come to a decision I will fight tooth and nail to change the world in which we live. Since the government oppresses I will over throw it. I will try, No I will never give up on this world. Even if I'm not the one to change it I promise I will be the one to influence that change. This world isn't hopeless it just needs more hope. My thirst for knowledge insatiable. My body will withstand the heaviest burdens. I will expose these tyrants and thieves I will ensure my peoples survival. I have no race when I say my people I mean human beings my species. I won't stop I'll never stop. We must not rely on only one beacon but several beacons of light that will light our way through the darkness. I like your response I wasn't trying to depress people I just had a lot on my mind I guess I just needed to vent a bit. Despite how depressing and long this is this isn't even .000000000001% of the shit I think about on a daily basis.

Yes that's who I got my name from I love reading that man's books. That man is a genius. A true modern day marvel. Someone who I aspire to be in the future. See I wish to be a physicist of some kind slash inventor.

If you think the world is worse than it was back in the past, then you need to take some history lessons. At least now we are capable of making change to a greater degree with new technology.

And even though our society is not perfect and still has many flaws, it's not as bad as say the Middle Ages where pretty much anyone can accuse of being a heretic or a witch and burn you at the stake.

No matter what era, there will always be war, strife, famine, and sickness....it's just nature balancing itself out.
