It seems after chapter 600 , alot of people started a flame war about the reason kishi comes up with that caused Obito s corruption and the fourth ninja war . And even on youtube , alot of Naruto reviewers stated that this reason was a troll but they were totally wrong ...

Ok let s see what was Kakashi s question : If you were alive how come until now ... ?? Kakashi asked why obito didn t reteurn to the village and why he was hiding until now and then Obito responded because of kakashi letting Rin die . Wich means Rin s death was the cause of Obito not reteurning to the village. And if you want to ask me why obito started this moon eye plan , there s a manga page here

He actually want to build a word without wars without the pain of sorrow and lost .His desire is to build a world where heroes don’t have to make apologies in front of graves . he dont want people to feel the same way he felt because his dying wish was in vain . He just wants a world without pain

and he did start it all because of Rin's death...you kind of reinterated it. Obito wouldn't have all his pain inside him had she not died. He would have come back as the good boy Tobi he origionally was. It will either be clearer on Wednessday or it'll be a Sasuke chapter :/

Rin is the reason he realized the world is a piece of crap that is full of empty promises(kakashi could not keep his promise.) he started the war because he wants a world without suffering. Its not a "the women I loved died I want to destroy the world" response. RIn simply made him notic ethat the world is unfair and he wants to achieve "peace " in a way because he believe true peace does not exist
