By now, you all should know who Kamatari is but for those who don't, it is

. Kamatari is Kishi's depiction of a mythical weasel called kamaitachi.

Kamaitachis are depicted as legendary weasels, thus they are far above ordinary weasels in physical and intellectual abilities.

In depth look at Kamatari

From the picture in the spoiler above, you can see Kamatari wielding a large scythe. In the bubble highlighted in red, you can see that Kamatari can talk to humans in english. The three boxes in green contain small mini scythes which shows that Kamatari can use multiple blades.

. The alternative would be Kamatari travelling in straight lines and then abruptly going backwards which is unrealistic and wouldn't guarantee that every single tree is cut down. Not to mention such a haphazard way of using KKM would have made Temari and Shikamaru vulnerable.

Speed and Agility
The weasel was so fast that when KKM was being used, the reader can't even see it (

), much like how Japanese mythology depicts kamaitachis, which goes to show how fast it travels similar to how Haku was

Also notice that Kamatari's blade and wind slashes aren't large enough to cover more than a few trees so it stands to reason that Kamatari was only able to slice all around Temari because it was agile enough to turn around and cover every nook and cranny of the surrounding area which would have required it to cover a distance far greater than the circumference of the destroyed area's AoE. So Kamatari was able to travel several km worth of distance without gravity being able to pull it down in that period of time.

KKM is most definitely faster than Wind Cast Net

. 3rd Raikage in base should have average kage level reactions so Kamatari can blitz most jounin levels and some kage level shinobi. Also the fact that Temari was going to use it (

) implies it is agile enough to continuously run circles around a singular target, thus concentrating all of its scattered energy into one area.

All in all, KKM is almost impossible to dodge due to it being extremely fast, a continuous non linear attack and the fact that Kamatari utilizes multiple blades to attack.

Power of KKM
Some people say Tayuya wasn't cut in half so this tech can't cut opponents apart but that was because she was already crushed by two tree logs and laid to rest underneath. Hence Tayuya never got slashed by KKM in the first place. The name of the jutsu is Summoning: Quick Beheading Dance which implies it can behead.

Those two tree logs out of the very many trees that were cut were enough to instantly kill a CS2 user. Tayuya in CS2 was durable enough to

. Tayuya would have suffered far worse if she got hit by a wind blade directly let alone if Kamatari was used on a singular target. All that spread out energy being concentrated on one target surpasses collaboration WCN based on it still being a viable attack after WCN had failed (

Striking Speed
The forest was full of trees which were each only separated by a few meters at best so the fact that Kamatari was able to move at such fast speeds without crashing into a tree means that it was able to cut every single tree it approached which is a testament to its striking speed.

Another testament to its striking speed is that swinging its scythe generated powerful slicing winds

. Yet despite being extremely light, Kamatari can create slicing winds with its striking speed so its striking speed should be well above even the most skilled swordsmen whose sword slash's impact can't be felt unless they directly hit their target.

Reaction Speed
Kamatari ought to have reaction speed at least on par with how fast it travels due to being in full control of its movements which wouldn't be possible if it couldn't react to its own speed.

Countering Kamatari/KKM
Hiding underneath the ground is an easy way of countering KKM assuming you can go underground before it gets to you. Having a durable enough defense like 3rd Raikage's body or susanoo can do the job as well. Having a not so durable defense but being able to conceal one's location would force KKM to be used over a wide AoE thus allowing the opponent to survive it. Using a large scale katon attack or other large scale attacks can kill Kamatari. Having the reaction speed to react to its movements and striking speed as well as having striking speed fast enough to tag the moving weasel can allow one to defeat it.

Anyhow after KKM is used, it probably can't be used again as Kamatari should be too tired to do it again in a fight. Therefore, despite being such a powerful jutsu, it can't be spammed.
