Have you ever even shot one of those guns that you posted?

Marlin Lever Action 30-30 or maybe a bolt action .273

Ar-15's are fun to shoot if you have a .22 firing pin cause I hate shooting those damn Nato 557's. 7 mag Mausers are loud as hell but neat.

For shotguns, Sweet 16s are great and easy to shoot. But 12 gauges are more popular.

Ah, the mentality of a thug: "Every weapon is for displaying dominance to the world!"

You see, I'm not going to pull out a firearm to shoot you because you are acting macho and want to bend me over and find me in the alps so that I know who is in charge. Nor would many people who care about firearms. They aren't tools of oppression or expressions of dominance.

Why?

If I shoot you, there's no humiliation. There's no subduing. It's putting an end to you. It's a direct mortal threat to draw and point a firearm - an 'instagib.'

Which is precisely how I view a firearm. It is there to dispose of threats quickly and efficiently.

Your bravado is not a threat. Therefor it is pointless for me, or anyone else, to use a firearm as a response to "I'm macho."

Now, the problem is that the thug mentality uses "I'm strong" as a means of saying "so we do what I say" It's "I've got a bigger **** and can **** your girl." So, of course, they try to make it sound like it is 'not manly' or 'not valid' to instagib them for insisting they can do whatever they want because they think they are big, powerful people.

People like myself have been trained in a variety of martial arts and in the use of firearms. If it comes down to something I care about actually being in danger - I'm choosing the firearm unless it has been removed from the list of options.

If I have to fight someone out of 'bravado' - then I will make a fool of them - but, generally speaking, such displays are not worth it and I would have to be in a "what the hell, I'm feeling vain at the moment" attitude. That, or there is a female involved and the only reason is to display to her that I am more than capable of providing a secure environment. Otherwise, it's just not worth it.

To be on topic, though:

One of my favorites.

Though I also do like the profile of the Tavor, though I've never shot it.
