Let's settle this, Itachi > Jiraiya

Anybody with common sense would say itachi will beat Jiraiya.
But since common sense isn't so common on nb and people just go by what a character like itachi has said will say Jiraiya is equal to itachi

Itachi wasn't bothered by Jiraiya's presence either, but does that prove anything? No.

My main intention in creating this thread was to point out the databook flaw, among other things.

Itachi wouldnt even let Jiraiya activate SM. Even in SM Jiraiya is not fast enough to escape from Amaterasu. Itachi can tame elder frogs on Jiraiyas arms and make them to decapitate him. In short, Jiraiya dont stand a chance.

Itachi doesnt know about SM, and if jiraiya went to take itachi down he would propably go straight in the sage mode, jiraiya has large scale moves to keep itachi busy for a while, and frogs can do the song at the same time. When its completed, its game over for itachi. Ofcourse it can go bothways but dont just go give victory to itachi cause it would be hard match.

Jiraiya is a very strong character, his stamina/versatile jutsu/summons/sage mode are reasons he has a great chance to beat Itachi.

Look, if you made a matchup and gave Jiraiya full knowledge and Itachi none. I'd give Jiraiya the win.

If it was just manga knowledge for both characters, I'd say Itachi since I do consider him stronger. Not by a significant margain mind you.

Itachi has MS hax/slightly better speed and obviously better genjutsu.

Itachi would eventually resort to MS which would probably overwhelm Jiraiya.


Although Jiraiya does have yomi numa which can mess Susanoo up.

I agree, but itachi isnt healthy and he cant see very well and cant know about the sage mode.

Itachi doesnt have kotoamatsukami cause he gave it to naruto, what i mean that if jiraiya would known pain had gods eyes he would have gone sage mode before he went to battle.

He would do that to any enemy who is powerful enough, and he can always just go underground for 5minutes where he pulled one of pains and go sage mode there, that could turn the whole battle around. Itachi thinks he dodges but the punch hits and one punch is all thats needed in sage mode to knock out.
