The reason Guy opened the gates was not to defeat Madara, but to protect the people he loved until Naruto is back.

Guy will certainly injure Madara! He will be the first of all to injure that god-like being.

Agreed. Guy we do all he can to stall for time until Sasuke and Naruto are healed... He will probably be able to injure Madara a bit.

Once Naruto and Sasuke return, they will probably witness the death of Guy... Thus, this sparks the fight in them and they both go OP against Madara...
