Also don't forget that before the war arc when fighting pein, he was near death and his eye was good enough to warp a speeding nail which was extremely small away from him, and then subsequently warp a missle that was charging at breakneck speed at choji.

Most vs threads pit each character in their primes or points when they arent weak. So that arguement still works.

Current Itachi is not only dead, but completely blind in 1 eye. But that totsuka has stood the test of time.
