For the love of everything holy, lets go over this chapter as people seems to have misunderstood what text goes where. Let's start here: Spoiler You must be registered for see images Sasuke states how he saw Naruto as his equal from early age, how he shared Naruto's pain and his bonds with him. However, Sasuke saw that as a weakness and decided to cut them off. (Most likely because he knew the pain of losing a bond, thus not having any bonds at all would remove that pain completely.) Spoiler You must be registered for see images The text that is contained within boxes are what Naruto is saying and the text that isn't in box's is Sasuke's words. This is evidence of that, as the box text states that Naruto was jealous of Sasuke's skills and started to chase after him and for the first time, Naruto achieved a bond with someone. Spoiler You must be registered for see images Here Naruto goes on stating how he always saw Sasuke as cooler and stronger than himself. However, Sasuke states something himself. He states it was the opposite. To him, it was Sasuke following Naruto because Naruto had a strength which he lacked, a strength that Itachi once had.
