Sorry I have a few queries so bear with me here

> How does it work?
> Does it have a trajectory or does it spawn on it's target?
> If it does spawn on it's target then how did Ay evade it and how did the flames travel to the Samurai behind Ay?
> If it doesn't spawn on the target, then why does Black zetsu say that it appears on the target
> How come Amaterasu burnt through the toad Mouth Trap but didnt burn through the Samurai's armor??

Thats it for now:cool:

The eye aimply shoots a fast moving amount of black flames that you can dodge if you are fast enough.

Amaterasu is listed as a short range technique (0-5m) which i think means it spawns on a target within that radius and travels the rest of the way. I have no idea on how fast it would then travel though. But its imo probably why Sasuke opted to use Enton against Gaara in the Kage summit.

It most likely travels unseen (not necessarily as a flame either ,propaply a chakra)until it reaches a target where it turns into a black flame .if that target moved away ,it continues traveling but now as visible flames.

Amaterasu

User(s): Uchiha Itachi
Rank: -
TNG: Ninjutsu (Bloodline Limit)
Range: Close
Type: Attack

Description:
"The ones reflected in these eyes turn to ash!! A black world-destroying
conflagration that scorches all on heaven and earth!!"

The Uchiha clan, originally significant as "those with the fans which manipulate
fire", traditionally specialize in Katon jutsu, but there is a legendary jutsu
unknown outside the clan. This is "Amaterasu". The appearance of these flames
are jet-black. The high temperature is like the sun, and one time touching it is
the last. It is said that this is named after the Goddess of the Sun as it
continues to burn for seven days and seven nights. However, the Mangekyou
Sharingan is necessary to activate this jutsu, and for this reason there are not
many who have learned this jutsu. Therefore, the details of this jutsu are yet
unrevealed...

Picture text:
Top: The black flames that only the owner of the Mangekyou Sharingan can control
are even able to instantly break through the side of a rock toad who breathes
fire!!
Bottom: Jiraiya, whi has mastered many jutsu, did not know of the existence of
Amaterasu. What he does understand is the power of the suspicious conflagration.

Here is how it is portrayed in the manga: Obito; "I could tell you were amassing chakra in your left eye."

It ignites along one's line of sight.

Ay was able to dodge it because at the same moment it spawned, he dodged it immediately. So that was more of a reflexes feat if anything.

It cannot be dodged; but by observing the eye blood; some amount of resistance can be made.

It's a shame it had relatively weak feats for a MS tech, It spawns on the target and speed/reactions are it's sole counter if anticipated.
