Naruto has firepower, Sasuke has haxed abilities. On a jutsu clash Sasuke loses, but that doesn't mean they're not equal.

The point is that logically, without the movie statement Naruto beats Sasuke just as bad as before. Just without his strongest attack, and logically he would fair better against stronger opponents. Which in turn makes him stronger

Though the movie statement implies otherwise, which is why I don't really get into threads involving the two

The Zai no Sho simply states that Sasuke is of an equal rank to Naruto. It doesn't state that there is absolutely no difference between their power whatsoever.
Sasuke still needs the Biju to counter Naruto if he ever managed to absorb the world's natural energy in a fight.
