They avoided directly saying that he's dead for a reason when in reality it'd be much more shocking & powerful to show Naruto in his son's arms or at least be with him as he dies like the fan-art somebody knocked up suggests. My personal theory is that Naruto is in another dimension like when Momoshiki or Kaguya kidnapped Sasuke and Naruto because 'same place as your father' seems like one hell of a coy way to say 'captured' or 'defeated'. ESPECIALLY after Boruto: The Movie already attempted to fake out it's audience by 'killing Naruto' once already. Naruto was dead for like, 2 scenes. Max.

It's cheap attention-seeking to get people hyped. Killing either Naruto or Sasuke after this huge happy legacy of a series would be needless and be in bad taste IMO.​

Totally agree with you. The base be leaping and catapulting to conclusions like they have evidence. They're totally alive.
