I believe Itachi's genjutsu is sometimes overrated. True Orochimaru got caught by it, but Orochimaru was about to break it had Itachi not directly intervened stopping him to use kai release. The finger genjutsu you mentioned in your thread was also almost broken by a novice in genjutsu like Naruto was and Itachi himself implies that the only reason Naruto failed was because he wasn't good enough at that time, so i always laugh when people think that high or skill level opponents can't break it. His tsukuyomi represents his most broken genjutsu though

By your logic every high level opponent feared Kakashi's genjutsu because Zabuza closed his eye in fear to be caught by his genjutsu. Anyway like i've said, tsukuyomi is his most broken genjutsu. It's what Kabuto feared and it's even what Itachi said he would use against Kabuto. The fact he said he would use it shows that he knew it was only this genjutsu that would be efficient enough against Kabuto

^ um no kakashi was never praised for his genjutsu abilities and prowness like itachi was and of course his genjutsu would fear someone like zabuza.
