No one cares about what Konoha thinks or wants. Like seriously every single village is useless right now, the only 2 characters that matter is Lord Sasuke and Naruto. They can solo all villages that out of existence at the same time.
Itachi would be the perfect Hokage but I don't know if he would have been accepted.
Naruto would give him access into being Hokage. Tsunade would step down and allow the Uchiha to take over. It all depends on what Naruto feels and then the rest is history lmao. :yeah:
I think he'd be like a Danzou with the anbu organization but way better than Danzou's anbu an more on the side of the kage in place rather than alil kuchinawa/Hebi trying to plot on others.
If Sasuke, the man's brother and the only direct family member left of everyone in the massacre accepted Itachi's actions, then no-name fodders who had no affiliation with the clan will accept it.
Itachi doesn't want the truth known to anyone but the few that knows about it now; it would tarnish the Uchiha name

If the truth is known then the people would think that the Uchiha clan is full of evil monsters, the clan tried to do a coup, Madara almost ended the world, and Sasuke became a missing ninja to join an international criminal then eventually joined a criminal organization and became a criminal himself. Itachi wouldn't be viewed as a bad guy but the Uchiha clan will including Sasuke; Sasuke might not have gotten pardon if all of this came true; heck A would probably argue that Itachi turned Sasuke into a criminal which is true.
To be Hokage you have to be nominated by the council then after a while the Jounins all vote if they want you to be Hokage. Danzo was nominated but did not become the official 6th Hokage because the voting never happened. Kakashi didn't become Hokage until a year after the war ended so Itachi could have become liked by the villagers in a year's time and made Hokage but I think he would only keep the title until Naruto is ready like Kakashi because he believes in Naruto as well.
Itachi himself didn't want the truth to be revealed, he has 2 options 1) living as a criminal 2) revealing the truth & disgracing Uchiha (if he can live with that)
