Now first, we'll list all the Path's powers down.
Now that's basically all Itachi has in his arsenal. Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susnao'o.
He only used Amaterasu I think once or twice in the Sasuke battle, meaning it'll strain his eyes a whole lot. So he only has one shot at it, or two at the maximum. Tsukuyomi also strains his eyes a whole lot, so he won't be using that again and again after the Paths counter it. Itachi activates Susnao'o about two times at the maximum before it disappears, so if Preta Path kept absorbing Susano'o, Itachi would also find that Justu ineffective as well. So when it all comes down to it, Itachi simply can not win this battle at all.
- 壱 (1) - Deva Path
The Deva Path grants the user the ability to manipulate attractive and repulsive forces with objects and people. It also has the ability to use Catastrophic Planetary Devastation, which is unstoppable unless you throw a Tailed Beast Bomb, Yasaka Magatama, and a Rasen Shuriken at it. Deva Path could also insert chakra rods in Itachi's body, messing with his chakra flow, making him unable to use Ninjutsu on his own. The match would be over at that moment. - 弐 (2) - Asura Path
The Asura Path grants the user the ability to summon Mechanized Armour, augmenting their body with extra limbs and various robotic weaponry. Very dangerous and is the Six Paths of Pain's best attacker. - 参 (3) - Human Path
The Human Path grants a Rinnegan user the ability to read the mind of any target by placing his hand on the target's head or chest and yanking the soul out of the body. Though it provides intel by getting well guarded secrets, the technique inevitably kills the target. One of the most dangerous paths of all. - 四 (4) - Animal Path
The Animal Path grants a Rinnegan user the ability of summoning various animals and creatures to aid it in battle. It'll be very troublesome for Itachi becuase the Animal Path can summon a lot of them. - 五 (5) - Preta Path
The Preta Path grants the user the ability to absorb an infinite amount of chakra in any form using the Blocking Technique Absorption Seal. This Jutsu allows this Path to absorb any chakra-based Ninjutsu. - 六 (6) - Naraka Path
The Naraka Path grants the user two main abilities: interrogation and restoration, by using the King of Hell. This Path is pretty weak, but it gives the Paths power to recover whenever they're destroyed. it's very helpful.
- (7) - Outer Path
The Outer Path is the seventh path, an ability granted to the wielder of the Rinnegan. With the Outer Path, the user is able to control life and death by reviving the dead, binding and restricting foes, as well as creating and controlling the Six Paths of Pain.
- Now let me tell you the main things you guys are going to say when you put anyone up against Itachi. You are going to say, "AMATERASU!" but with Naraka Path, any Pain other than Deva Path that gets caught in the Amaterasu could instantly get healed. I doubt Itachi could do anything about it since there are so many paths to deal with at that time, they'll all keep him busy while the injured Paths get healed...
Now if Amaterasu touches Deva Path, he'll use Almighty Push to push the flames away as soon as he feels any kinds of burns. If he used Almighty Push too late and gets harsh burns, then he could jump in the King of Hell's mouth and would get healed.
- Now the next thing you're going to say is, "HOW WILL HE COUNTER TSUKUYOMI?!" but It's not what you think. If you get caught in the Tsukuyomi, you must be alive to feel the affects of it. The Paths are all dead and share the same vision. So if any one of them get caught in any kind of Genjutsu, they will be alert of it. Since Nagato is giving the paths chakra, he could simply take his chakra back, or disrupt the current chakra flow of the paths to snap them out of it, leaving Genjutsu ineffective...
Even if one Path somehow gets caught in a visual Jutsu, they all don't get caught 'cause they all share the same vision, meaning they might see the Genjutsu that affected one of the Paths, but they'll still be conscious. That one path that would get caught can easily get out of the Genjutsu by Nagato just disrupting the chakra flow. Visual Genjutsu won't work because the bodies are dead. Tsukuyomi/Visual Genjutsu/Genjustu period would be simply ineffective against the paths. The paths would also be alert of Itachi's regular Genjutsu as well.
- Now one of the things you guys have to say is, "SUSANO'O!" but no. Susnao'o is just a being made out of complete chakra, but Preta Path could completely absorb Susnao'o. Animal Path would have so much Animals to distract Itachi while Preta Path simply just absorbs the Susano'o. Itachi had a limit of activating Susnao'o. I think he only activated it twice in the fight versus Sauske. It was when he got struck with Kirin, he used Susano'o and it got deactivated, and then he used Susnao'o again afterwards. Because of Itachi's stamina, he couldn't do as much as we all thought he could with Susano'o.
Totsuka Blade isn't a problem 'cause the Animals would be in the way and cause a massive distraction. Especially the Cerberus. It would multiply, causing Itachi to have to focus on multiple enemies at once. It's arguable if Totsuka Blade could pierce and seal the paths because the paths are already dead and do not have a soul to put inside a Genjutsu. That's one way how the paths could avoid Totsuka Blade, but it's beings us back to the Paths vs. Genjutsu.
