You've gotta understand that the stored Edo Zombies are still active, meaning that the technique to use them is still in use. If Kabuto starts a fight with Edo Tensei on he wins by default. If it's off then the Edo Zombies can't and don't exist yet. It's a constant technique, when the Jutsu is deactivated the Zombies souls are freed.

So it is impossible for him to use it in a fight as most fights are counted with all Jutsu off at the start.

When i say Kabuto > NV, i say that meaning he is individually stronger than every other ninja in the show. Not to say he couldnt take the majority of them himself. The obvious thing youre leaving out is the fact that Kabuto did not even pull out a single edo to aid him in that fight due to being tied up in the war. If he had, i think we know that fight wouldve been a little different

Someone finally realizes the truth about edo tensei. What people seem to think is that kabuto got everything ready in a matter of days. The truth is it took him months to ready up edo tensei. This makes edo tensei the most pointless move in a straight up fight. Edo tensei should never be counted as someone else moveset and if you do Orochimaru is the #1 ninja in all of narutoverse. Now people who know and accept the truth about edo tensei know that, because of the prep time of the jutsu it is not capable of being used in a fight.
