Let me clear something for you people . Juubi madara > gai 8 gates

That was pretty obvious i think, what with all the Gai getting saved and all. Not only that, Gai had to demonstrate the 8th Gate and get his moment, so it's safe to say Kishimoto was holding Madara on a leash throughout the fight, plus he would have been erased from existence from the Truth Seeking Balls had he not had Lee and Minato's backup.

I've never even considered it Gai's victory if he used 8th Gate and succeeded in killing someone stronger than him. It's like a suicide bomber being called stronger than the best fighter in the world, just because he took him out along with himself.

Lets put it this way:

Gai>=One Rinnegan Madara.
Dual Wield Rinnegan Madara > Gai
Triple Rinnegan Madara >> Gai

Gai might be able to land a killing blow more times then not on One-Rinnegan Madara. But Dual Wield Rinnegan Madara has 5 Limbo Clones that can surround him and are unaffected by any attacks that are not powered up by the power of the Sage. Granted, I might be overestimating Gai a little when I say he is stronger then One-Rinnegan Madara, since he did need help to get through Madara's Onmyoudan shield.

Its also important to note that Madara was not taking the fight seriously, even in his fight against Naruto + Sasuke he was not serious.

LISTEN GUYS LISTEN! The only way to kill Madara is to completely disintegrate his body, else he will just regenerate back. Gai with all his powers was only able to blow half of Madara's chest and arm. Madara didn't even try to defend Gai's attack and he was actually letting Gai take his best shot at him. If Madara was really trying, he would have covered himself with various defenses like the truth seeking ball or Perfect Susanoo.

gai was fighting the whole war and befor tht kisame he used gates a million times and couldn't walk when he went tew fight madara in 7gates then 8 madaraaa

got help cause madara was Hiding in his little shell so they made a plane to remove them and open that sheild so he can stop hideing and gai can smash his ass

gai was already at 75% cause he was already broken up b4 8gates. and madara tried every time to defend himself but was rejected due to speed force and power and disorting space gai was delivering

madara was not playing, yes he was enjoying it like every fight he has, but has acknowledged that gai is a beast more then once!!

why would he even let someone hit him when he clearly stated i cant get hit by that shit no more

It's like people don't notice how Madara was laughing every time Gai came close to seriously hurting him. Madara had just become the Jūbi jinchūriki and gotten one of his eyes back - he felt like a god and wanted to test his limits. Gai was a like a fascinating specimen, and a shiny new toy he could try out, and look at that went? Madara analysed and tanked every attack perfectly and kept laughing and goading Gai into trying more. Eight Gates Gai VS Madara never really happened. It was Madara playing with Gai.

And by the end of it, Gai lost, and Madara didn't throw a single punch to win.
