or would they be off to the side, but above (the sides where the columns are that is)

If I'm understanding you right, I'd say the latter. The columns will always form a triangle shape regardless of where you want them and are linked by a circle due to the rising fire. Its pretty straight forward columns > orbs > lances. Sorry if its not easy to read, I sort of rushed back then when I was putting it together lol

I like it. So once they appear to be stabbed, I lift them? and seem to carry their body away? I'm trying to imagine this (Like I'm walking around with my scythe which is resting on my shoulder and the target's body is hanging from the scythe, all bloody and stuff) and other than that no questions.

After they're stabbed it's pretty much freeform, you can do whatever you want with em.

The user then manipulates the three columns and creates an orb of fire from each one that rises above the targets and then, turn into lances of fire, one from each orb, descending onto the targets.When dealing with a close-range attack, the user can release his fire chakra and have the rising fire surround him and position the three columns anywhere he likes to block the attack and if possible, afterwards, change them into orbs before transforming them into lances. When using this method, the user can have the lances enter a ring-like formation around him, while spinning around him, and have them fly outward in different directions.

Restrictions:
-Can only be taught by fang.
-Usable only three times per battle.
