Did they list 88 problems? They just thought some stuff up and wrote it down lmao. It's sad that they are going bankrupt, honestly this makes the LGBTQA Commun. go back a couple years. That's purely disgusting and greedy.
I do agree they should have to a different place ,it have been thatsimple however lettiing these ppl off the hook creates a license to discrimnate against lgbt ppl anytime they feel like it ,that is not ok. Discrmnation aginst gay ppl is no more acceptable then any other person. Its not political corrrect as u call it to call out something that is wrong
Why that argument is an expected one, it's just not good to use in this situation. It makes you look like you're trying to take the heat off the lesbian couple. Seriously, they should have been more thoughtful about the bakery's couple and their family. Now that family loses it's the bakery and has to find a way to feed their children, all for a cake.
Why shouldn't I be able to make an exclusive business?
I can make a business that only caters to members of my club. Why can't I make a business that only caters to members of a certain race? Or a certain sexuality?
Some businesses are built upon gender segregation. Girls-only schools, Boys-only schools.
If a private business wishes to choose to only serve a specific set of customers - or to exclude a certain set of potential customers ... why should we be able to go in there and force them to do something they don't wish to do?
Perhaps it is because I come from food service - and the idea of being served by people who obviously do not want me in their restaurant makes me that much more aware of the opportunity for my order to be 'specially handled' in the back.... but where do we get off in telling other people what to do with their business?
If there are enough people being discriminated against - that is an economic opportunity for someone else. "Hey, I don't give a damned how big your boobs are, everyone is welcome at this dance club!"
There will be some people who choose to discriminate - and they are free to turn away paying customers just as we are free to find someone else to exchange money for goods with. People who are too picky will have a hard time making money and people who are -capitalist- will not have much difficulty adapting to the demands of the market.
You seriously need to take a look back, look at the world, and just think. I cannot agree with segregation, yet I do agree that private business is the way to go if you are a racist or homophobic. If that person does not want to serve
all people, then why are they trying to serve the public anyway? Simply make it a private business, and live happily like that. This bakery had to be a public one if the lesbian couple felt like they could come and ask for a cake. So, your argument doesn't really fit for this.
Exactly.
It's almost gotten to the point where if a person is gay - you're better off just to make them disappear. You're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't - the crime of murder (if you get caught) is less than the damage these people try to rain down upon you for offending them.
You all think I'm crazy... but from an economic standpoint - these people are effectively suicide bombers. They will launch a 500,000 legal case against you for 50 dollars of perceived damage and have the courts stick you with the fees.
I think everyone in the LGBT community needs to grow a pair and stop acting like pansy bitсhes when someone doesn't like the way they fuсk.
Wow, Gay people love using the victim card, dont they? Don't get me wrong refusing someone a cake just because of their sexuality is stupid but saying this caused them to be "mentally raped"? Just wow.
This is the ignorance caused by this sort of case ruling. People blame all the people of the LGBTQA Community, and continue in ignorant bless.
