I think it's nice. It's only 8 episodes some don't like it at all but some do.

yes the lead char David Haller/Legion is son of Charles xavier in comics

it's ok, has potential to be great but also potential to become a clusterfk

at this point they just make it as strange, ''complicated'' and layered as possible just for the sake of it, up to a point where the vast majority of the 50min is completely pointless until we get much further down the line, mystery is fine but not to a point where everything in the present becomes mostly without substance
