After looking over a couple of the fights in the war, it seems as if most of the legends and strong characters have been overthrown quite easily.

Sasori should not have lost that easily to a group of ninja despite Kankuro and Sai being present, just doesn't work that way. He's Sasori of the RED SAND.

And for Gaara to basically solo his father and the previous Mizukage is just a little far fetched. I mean, he's very strong but he's 16. Unless this manga is heading in the direction of DBZ, the fights should be more diffcult for the up and coming generation. Even in DBZ they had to train, they don't once show an of the New Generation training (aside from Naruto). They just gather war supplies and start running shit right off the bat while "fodder" ninja are getting smacked.

I just don't like the way the war has been going, and I'll say it.... Even DBZ didn't make their characters this overpowered.

I feel the same way the big names of the old generation are being beat quite easily. -_-

Sasori's fight with Kankuro was bullsh*t and shouldn't be counted as a feat for Kankuro. He didn't have his puppet body or any of his 298 puppets. Sasori >>> Kankuro all day, any day.
As for Gaara, he did have help from other shinobi, at least in the Mizukage fight. I can see him beating the 4th fair and square.

Well, DBZ characters blew up planets at the start of the series. So yeah, they were always OP.

kakashi said each generation surpasses the previous one when he was about to kill kakazu. but i understand. like the rikudo sennin is going to be a piece of cake according to the way the manga has set up legendary people to die to fodder lol. in dbz they actually had to train hard as hell. in naruto PNJ makes you stronger on the spot. like the gold and silver brothers were taking down so easily. all these big names are like tenten to these guys. PNJ

But think about this. From the beginning, Freeza was very capable of killing anyone and even taking out a whole planet. He was considered to be a very strong character. All of a sudden Vegeta and Piccolo can handle him? I know they went through training and such but not once has Vegeta or Piccolo destroyed a whole planet.

This is what Naruto is becoming. Kishi: I'm gonna make this character really strong and no one will be able to stop him for 2 chapters but then [Insert almost any main character here]'s gonna come along and wipe the floors with him.

Gaara had help against the mizukage and his dad stopped fighting him seriously. So did every one else who fought a past kage..Some characters let themselves be sealed .Due to their bonds with the shinobi they were fighting .(TALK NO JUTSU ) emotional bonds can break edo, unless kabuto takes complete control. remember most of the past kage told the allied ninja how to beat them.
