If it got a reboot. Greatest strategy anime, as in it shits on Code Geass hard in that department (Code Geass is still my favorite anime), best rivalry in anime history, most epic out of this world interstellar action (literally) and is exhilarating from beginning to end. Only flaw: it was made in 1982 :|:|

Otherwise a rebooted LOTGH would honestly rank as the greatest anime ever, probably above even Code Geass, Monster, Death Note and Stein's Gate. Too bad such a fantastic anime is so underrated and under appreciated, easily the most underrated anime I've ever seen.

I'm mid-way through season 3 and I'm enjoying it myself. I'd rate the first two seasons 9/10. Favorite characters so far are Walter and Yang. 2017 would be a good time for a remake adaption since it'd be 20 years after the last episode of the main series, but Production I.G. going with an original adaption is okay too.

This is not an anime for everybody. The art, animation, and storytelling style are all old. In order to equalize it with the current look of anime, I just try to watch each episode as if I'm reading a novel or play.

what i'm thinking of doing is that once I finish season 3, I will watch the gaiden ova series. Then resume season 4 and end LoTGH with the climatic ending of the main series.

Huh ? this anime doesn't need a reboot to be godly.. airing in the 80s is the only flaw ? thats stupid,
and NO the anime is in nowhere near underrated.. if anything its one of the most wanked anime of all time,

And the anime will get a reboot in 2017 by production IG.. but most likely it will be far less superior than the original 110 episode OVA.
