Gajeel step onto the battlefield started directly at the cloaked man that stood before him. Just the mere appearance of the man upsetted Gajeel which caused a rage to build up within his belly. He clenches his fists while giving a man a malicious look to show that he's serious and won't hold back anything. He turned that raged he's been building up into Katon chakra and performed the Horse and Tiger hand seals. He then proceed to stick out his chest all high and mighty as compress the chakra and jerked his head forward to spew out a huge ball fire towards the cloaked man.

Just as the fire reached within short range of the man, Gajeel formed one hand seal and created a sea of spikes to protrude beneath and all around man at a mid range radius while he's distracted by the huge ball of fire coming towards him.
