Awesome! Never expected to be able to watch 3 new LoK episode when I woke up this morning. So far I find it already better than season 2 and you need to hand it to the creators: they make awesome villains.
Loved Bolin, Meelo and Bumi. They always bring life to the brewery, especially Meelo's face when Bumi started airbending was priceless.
I also love the subtle real life adaptations. Not just in material stuff, but also in behavior and mind. The guy in basement was fantastic, but especially Mako and Bolin's grandma's adoration for the Earth Queen had real depth. This undisputed adoration for your monarch by and old person is very characteristically for instance the Japanese WW II generation who had been brainwashed severely in adoring their monarch as a god.
What annoys me though is the naivety of everyone and especially that of Tenzin in regards to these new Airbenders. From the moment these new airbenders were introduced and they were planning to find them, I knew that the issue of them simply not wanting to become a monk would be present, so it really bugs me that Tenzin, who is supposed to be an all wise airbender, didn't even consider this situation. For the duration of all the LoK books I've had the feeling that Tenzin is simply citing the Air Nomad culture, but doesn't really understand it himself.
Also the evil Dai Li agents is a bit repetitive, even if it's this time on the command of the Earth Queen. Didn't they learn their lesson last time? Both the Dai Li as the Earth monarch? They were fighting for Azula =/ It's interesting though to see that the situation this time is a mix of several parties with different interests rather than two clearly opposing groups.
