???: Master Rednail!
A man came running down the stairway into the entrance hall of Fairy Tail. Ever since the corruption of the Magic Council, Fairy Tail had opposed them, and being a Rebel Guild was forced into hiding, and literally underground. Within the city limits of Magnolia Town, a secret entrance to the third Fairy Tail building is hiden, and beneath the city is the grand guild of Fairy Tail.
Guild Master Ferris Rednail looked up from his card game towards the young man. His purple hair falling over his face, his chest heaving as he panted, and sweat covering what was visible of his brow, the young man before the guild master leaned on the table to catch his breath.
Ferris: Yes, Nathan?
Nathan: The Rune Knights are in Magnolia again, and they're looking for Fairy Tail...
As the man swallowed down a breath of air, the guild master smirked.
Ferris: The Rune Knights are always in Magnolia looking for Fairy Tail, Nathan! What makes this time any different?
The fear in Nathan's eyes was clear, even though they were half-hidden beneath his hair. Starting to take this development mor seriously, Ferris Rednail put his cards face-down on the table and turned all the way towards the young member of his guild.
Nathan: There was a man with them who bore a guild tattoo I have only ever seen in history books. I thought they had long disbanded, but that mark was clear as day... To hire such a guild, the Council must really want us dead!
Genuinely interested now, Guild Master Rednail leaned forwards on his hands, his elbows resting on his knees. Ferris' stubble of a beard was rough under his palms, though he was used to it, and his short brown hair was kept well out of his face even without brushing it aside.
Ferris (To Himself): Could he be speaking of Grimoire Heart? If the Magic Council hired such a guild formed by the second master of Fairy Tail himself... If such a guild even existed to this day...
Ferris: What guild was the mark of?
Nathan: Sabertooth.
When Fairy Tail went silent, a phenomenom which was rarely, if ever seen, in any generation of the guild, Nathan continued.
Nathan: I watched him from the shadows for quite some time; he had no problem with destroying portions of Magnolia trying to find us, and the Rune Knights had no problem with letting him do that.
Ferris: Wait. "He", "him"? There's only one?
Nathan: I only saw one, alongside a small army of Rune Knights, but it looked like he could destroy all of Magnolia if he wanted to.
Ferris: Well so could we!
At the master's remarks, the guild errupted into joyus cheering and laughter and agreement, and the dull roar which was Fairy Tail resumed. But then Nathan leaned in close to Ferris and whispered.
Nathan: I meant with us protecting it.
Suddenly, Ferris Rednail's face grew very serious, and he stood up and walked with Nathan away from the rest of the guild.
Ferris: How far away from the entrance was he?
Nathan: Last time I saw him he was on the other side of town, but by now he could-
???: HALT!
Ferris: Shit!
All of Fairy Tail turned their attention in unison towards the stairwell leading to their secret entrance, where a swarm of armored Rune Knights filed in. Then as the Rune Knights spread out in the underground dwelling of Fairy Tail, their weapons poised, a different man was revealed. He he long spikey hair which stood straight up and away from his head, as if it were scared to touch his face. He wore baggy pants and a tattered vest without any shirt underneath, revealing a golden tattoo on his chest of the side of a cat's face with long teeth...
???: Ah, so this is Fairy Tail. You were hard to find, I'll tell you that much! But now that we're here, I think it's time to lessen the Council's burden a little...
Ferris: Who the hell are you!? What gives you the right to barge into our guild and act like you're the supreme all-mighty god, sent to wipe us off the map!? What makes you think you even could!?!
Sabertooth: A long time ago, Sabertooth was a powerful Legal Guild. But then Jiemma was slain, Sting and Rouge defected, and we turned into a Dark Guild briefly before disbanding. Now, I'm here to revive the guild of my ancestors! My guild is Sabertooth; my family is Sabertooth; my name is Sabertooth!
Jenny: This guy's a nut-job!
Looking around the room, Sabertooth found the person who uttered the words, and gestured at her with an open hand, all of his fingers pointing towards her. At the same instant, Jenny's body convulsed, and she fell slumped to the ground.
Sabertooth: Who wishes to join your fallen comrad?
Ferris: Jenny!
Sabertooth: Don't move, old man, or you're next...
Ferris (To Himself): I'm only thirty-one!

In the middle of a forest, young Uxinta found herself walking, lost. The sun was starting to set, and she had no idea where she was, having never been outside of her cave-home; at least not any further than the first trees surrounding the mountain's base. But now here she was, all alone, in the closing darkness of night. Real night.
Suddenly, there was a rustling in the bush beside her. Uxinta turned, startled.
Uxinta: Hello?
Uxinta moved towards the bush, and as she stuck her head through to see what was happening, she saw a town. She was on the border of a small town, but something was wrong. The streets were empty, and even though it was getting dark, she hadn't expected a town to be so empty quite yet. No lights were anywhere by the recently set sun and the sliver of a moon, by which she saw the outlines of buildings.
???: YOU!
Uxinta spun around at the voice behind her as a man dressed as a knight poked the top of a lance into her back.
Uxinta: Hey!
???: What are you doing out here?
The man grabbed Uxinta's forarm, and she struggled against him.
Uxinta: Let GO of me!!
The rage in Uxinta's voice rose, and an energy coated her arm. It was like lightning, but something was different. The lightning was... On fire? Not only was that how it appeared, but that's how it felt to the man holding onto the Blazing Lightning-coated arm. He yelled loud and let go, flaming sparks flyign everywere. One caught on some spilt straw and lit up the street, allowing Uxinta to see the destruction of the town.
Uxinta: What happened here? Tell me!!
???: There's a Dark Guild hiding in this town, and we're here to destroy them.
Uxinta: What's it called?
???: Fairy Tail.
There was a noise, almost like a small gasp, and then the man's chest appeared to stop moving, and the rest of his body obviously struggled for breath. Then he went still, and and older lady stepped out of the shadows.
???: Don't believe him; Fairy Tail isn't a Dark Guild. They're a shining light fighting against the Dark Council.
Uxinta: Don't worry, I know that Fairy Tail's good. That's what my father told me.
???: You're father...
The old woman seemed more interested in the blazing lightning on the ground than the girl in front of her who claimed that her father knew about Fairy Tail.
???: ...who is he?
Uxinta: My father? His name's-
Before she finished speaking, Uxinta caught herself. Dragon's were being hunted; if she gave away that her foster fater was in any way a dragon, she could put Igneel-sama in danger.
Uxinta: Igneel. His father was a carpenter who helped with the second Fairy Tail Guild building, and he's something of a tradesman himself.
The lady seemed uninterested in her story, poking the blazing lightning with a stick and bringing it closer to her face to examine it.
???: This lightning's on fire... And you used it like a meelee attack... I've only ever seen that once before, and it was by someone very special...
Then the name Igneel clicked in the old woman's mind, and she suddenly turned to Uxinta.
???: You said Igneel, correct!? You clever Salamandar!!
Uxinta: What are you talking about?
???: Has your father ever spoken to you about a Dragon Slayer named Wendy?
Uxinta: When my dad told stories, he rarely used names.
???: Of course he did. Dirty-rotten Salamandar!
Uxinta: Why do you keep saying 'Salamandar'?
???: Never you mind! If what that Rune Knight said is true, Fairy Tail's in trouble!! You come with me missy!
The old woman grabbed Uxinta's arm and began running deeper into town.
???: Fast wind that run the heaven....
Uxinta: What are you doing!?
???: VERNIER....
The woman sped off at great speeds, dragging Uxinta behind her. As the woman traversed the dark, desolated streets, Uxinta wondered what exactly was going on.

Sabertooth: Is that the best you've got, Fairy Tail?
The tavern-like room the members of Fairy Tail had gathered in to fight the Rune Knights and Sabertooth lay in shambles, defeated Fairy Tail members lying everywhere. Only Ferris Rednail and two other members stood, all three of them panting. Sabertooth stood, checking his fingernails, while the Rune Knights stood behind him, in the exact same position they were in when the fighting started, not having moved a muscle.
Ferris: Not by a long shot, Sabertooth!
Yoric: The time to end this is now!
Sabertooth: Isn't that the truth!
Sabertooth clapped his hands together, the rippling shockwave created by the impact visible as it travelled, almost in slow-motion, towards Fairy Tail's finest. The man to Ferris' right, Fairy Tail's Guild Ace Dakken, snapped open his eyes and the shockwave created by Sabertooth vanished as it made contact with an invisible barrier.
Dakken: This is Fairy Tail, Sabertooth; the whole building is under my control.
Sabertooth: Ah, the Guild Ace of Fairy Tail; Dakken Lance. How powerful a magic you possess; the ability to commans spirits from the underworld to fight for you. How many did it take to stop that shockwave?
Dakken: Shadow Walker wasn't the magic that made me Guild Ace, nor was it what just happened here.
Dakken drew a sword from an unnoticed sheath and held it in front of him.
Dakken: Rune Script: Nightingale!
A character appeared on the flat side of the swords blade, and white light appeared as walls, turning Fairy Tail's tavern into a small laberynth.
Yoric: God's Shining: Nightingale!
The light emitted by the rune-created walls intensified, only towards those without Fairy Tail's mark however, and the rays became like spikes which impaled many of the Rune Knights, Sabertooth creating small, localized shockwaves to protect himself.
Ferris: Nightingale: Final Form!!
Ferris clapped his hands together, and within the pentagonal walls of light, the final part of the three-man technique was completed. Out of thin air, a nightingale made of solid emerald materialized and the light was concentrated through it, the spears becoming harder, longer, and overall more powerful. But then Sabertooth shattered it all; the walls, the emeral figure, and his 'comrads' the Rune Knights. When Fairy Tail's finest saw Sabertooth again, there were wounds where the unexpected light had pierced him.
Sabertooth: You. Rat. BASTARDS!!
The last word was accented by blood, which caused the squeemish Yoric to squirm. He never liked blood, but through the years of protecting Fairy Tail in the war against the council, he was able to stand being near it with only having to shudder once.
Sabertooth: Now you die!
As Sabertooth brought his arms back to clap them together with much force, there was a feminine voice up the stairway behind him.
Uxinta: What do you think you're doing to Fairy Tail!?
