So we have not seen Rock Lee get much of any power-ups lately. The last we heard, he was only able to go up to 5 gates in the beginning of Part 1. Thus his power-up is most likely:

I thought that it was obvious, he would get the 12 Talismans from Jackie Chan and become the solo king.

Ot: But that is the only logical power up for Lee, the 8th gate

His ultimate move, his ace in the whole will always be the 8 gates. Not much development, he could just get better at his taijutsu.

I cannot express how badly I want to see that 8th gate....I'm sure he'll also have some other techniques to his Taijutsu that he learned. Anyways if he does survive the gate, he better spam that all day on the Jubbi. (jk he'll probably need surgery again if he does survive it)
