Lee vs Neji.

Lee is like the ultimate counter to Neji right?

Lee doesnt use any ninjutsu or genjutsu (literally none).
Closing Lee his tenketsus wont matter much.

Seeing Lee with byakugan is no big deal either.
It wont help you if you can see your opponent, but your body doesnt have the speed to to match your opponent.
Lee is much faster than Neji. Neji cant do kaiten all game long and lacks the stamina to compete in endurance with Lee on top of that.

Yet, even after Lee had used the gates in the chuunin exam, Tenten made the comment(during neji vs naruto) that no genin can compete with Neji.

How can Neji ever defeat Lee? Seems impossible to me.

I don't think he can. Naruto bulldozed into Neji's kaiten with just a little bit of Fox's chakra and managed to get a hit on him which severely weakened him. I think Lee can do the same in 5 gates. Lee is also more than capable of dodging Neji's jyuuken moves.

Basing it on what we saw during the chuunin exams, im going with Lee. I don't see how Neji would keep up with gated Lee.

Kaiten reflect damage?
I would say gate chuunin exam lee > chunin exam naruto bijou cloak, in speed.
Gaara couldnt even blink when lee kicked him 4gates active, in the air.

I made the thread because i find it interesting how lee actually feels inferieur, while he seems to be a hard counter to neji.
Maybe his feelings come from all the losses he has had vs neji (before he learned gates).
or he actually cant win.

Well when they first joined team Gai, Neji was significantly better than Lee. But by the time Chuunin exams came around, Lee became the genius of hard work and went to another level. He still referred to Neji as the better fighter when he fought Sasuke, but Gai even agreed that with Gates Lee was more than capable of beating Neji.
