Kitsuchi has never shown any feats that would allow him to react to gated Lee's speed, nor tank gated Lee's attacks, as far as I know.

Hype wise we can consider Kitsuchi on a different level than Lee given he was put on the same "playing field" as Gaara/Kakashi/Darui/Mifune, but feats wise this fight just doesn't bode well for him, I don't believe.

Sheer lack of feats gives the win to Lee but Kitsuchi is portrayed above him. He should be capable of doing what Onoki does with Doton so he could beat Lee if we assume he has those moves.

Far too fast to actually be caught in that.

Not a chance. Kitsuchi drops himself into the ground.( ). Once down their he covers himself into an earth dome.( ). The mountains sandwich proceeds to crush lee to dust he isn't dodging it seeing as it's size dwarf the Gedo Mazo.

Lee in just the 5th gate managed to get to and move Gai before he could get hit by Gudodama, not only being faster than the Gudodama but the kunai that Kakashi threw as well.

He would get to Kitsuchi before he even finished the plan you just laid out. And that earth dome isn't saving him from gated Lee.

Actually, you have no idea where Lee came from so you can't use that as a legit feat. Lee could have been closer to Gai than Madara and company so naturally he would get to Gai before the kunai. Lee getting away does not mean he's faster than TSB, like I said, he could have been closer and the balls stop after 70 meters because Madara loses control of them so the balls would have eventually caught up to Lee, they just reached their distance limit.

This argument would work if not for the fact that Minato and Gaara were shocked to see Lee.

Minato and Kakashi thought their only hope of saving Gai was letting Minato hirashin in front of him before the Gudodama could hit:

Lee obviously wasn't close enough at that time to be seen, the panel directly after Kakashi has let go of the kunai, he's grabbing Gai.

It's a pretty damn good speed feat.

The explosion from AT had kicked up so much dust and debris that no one would have been able to see Lee. Not to mention no one was even looking for Lee to show up, and wasn't expecting him. Their full attention was on saving Gai.

Its not a good feat because we don't know where Lee was to begin with. Madara shot the TSB at Obito and despite Obito phasing before attacks of people like Ay, he couldn't phase fast enough to dodge TSB so you'll also have to acknowledge that Lee is faster than the people Obito has avoided, like V1 Ay and KCM Naruto.

Rock Lee wins this. He's fast enough to evade Kitsuchi's attacks, and strong enough to smash through his defenses. Although he doesn't really need it to win, Morning Peacock would be an insta kill.

Without a doubt EliteKakashi already countered all your arguments...Using dust and debris isn't a counter when we have sensors around(Minato) and even Madara but yet attacked Gai. If Lee was so close, why wasn't he pushed back by the force of AT like Madara was? Very legit feat.

Where did you get the bold from? Last time I checked, Obito never tried to phase cuz that would mean the TSB would hit the people behind him. Either way he tried to warp himself not phase.

Lee wins

primary lotus does the job against a featless rockfist user.

lol at the notion of tactical do'ton jutsus even factoring into the contest( but then again, this(upper gates hax) is why Gai can't be taken seriously in hypotheticals)
