Okay, I feel like engaging in a little "friendly" debate, seeing as I never actually DID argue properly against Preta.



Gaara was not controlling the match in any way.

He had no plan.
He had no opportunity to strike back at his foe.
He was on the defensive from the moment Lee removed his weights, for the simple reason that he had NO way to be on the offensive.

None of his techniques were fast enough to reach Lee, who could punch him at will.

Everything Gaara achieved from the moment the weights went off 'till the Extreme Lotus ended were limited stopgap measures to preserve his own life. He succeded, but barely.

He was NOT in control, in any sense of the word, unless ending up as the victor ALWAYS mean you have been "in control" the entire time.

A word to the wise: It doesn't.

I did read and then I replied, you have nothing to say about this so quit with this little provocative game when you can't even maintain your own credibility.

Gaara wasn't trying to keep himself alive as you say, the damages inflicted by lee we're not serious. Just go read the pages of the chunin exam when Sasuke chidori Gaara, this actually made him bleed, those were severe damages, not Lee's.

He did indeed receive a scratch but the sand armor isn't resilient, its purpose is to absorb the impact, so no big deal here, what Lee did was nothing impressive.

The way Gaara just walked away like he just took a nap proves what Lee did was nothing serious, Gaara was just messing around with him.
Gaara won and Lee had no chance.
