Tenten doesn't love Lee from the start

We don't know that though, I don't think they're together now, I just think they where, or had a thing at some point and had metal.... plus the loss of neji and gai being out for awhile might have brought them closer together for a time

Besides the fact that neji and tenten were suppose to be a thing I don't think tenten would add anything of value to his dna just give him the sage weapons which would be lame

What? Why does she need to add value to his dna? Plus mixing a cqc specialist and a long/short range ninja tool specialist isn't as bad a mix as you think. Plus the timing and setting where there... neji had just died, gai is out of commission, conveniently leaving lee and tenten together.... I'm not saying they dated or anything, but maybe they hooked up during this time

Well think about it (rock) lee married someone from the (rock) village who has steel release aka metal and has (metal) lee. And I think steel release is a double earth element. See the symbolism.
