Kenjutsu is the art of using a sword, specifically in combat. Kenjutsu techniques can be coupled with taijutsu techniques and variations. Alternative hand placing on the hilt of a sword will create a different result. Small details like parrying a strike with a one handed strike will result differently than a two handed strike. Striking with one hand will increase speed but reduce power, whereas a two handed strike will increase the power of a strike but reduce speed. These variations can form unique fighting patterns, the art of kenjutsu is solely dependant on the skill of the user rather than the sword itself. The samurai from the Land of Iron are renowned for their skill and knowledge of kenjutsu. They solely focus on it to an extent where their techniques cannot be executed by most shinobi. Kenjutsu techniques can be enhanced by chakra entering the sword or touching it, turning it into nin-kenjutsu. Kenjutsu in the RP requires quite an ample amount of detail. Things like speed, pressure, angle of strike, amount of force used, your body posture, etc. These things should mostly be applied when performing kenjutsu techniques. Now, though the user does get additional reach with a sword, the general weakness of having/using a blade still apply. Unsheathing a sword can force a user to lose moments while the sheath itself is quite obvious to the opponent even when the battle starts. This will allow them to alter their movements/attacks to negate the use or effectiveness of a sword.
