This is strange training, so there are no ranks. Instead you get this kind of training which will be a lot faster (the rest won't be as long as this), considering the size of the jutsulist and hopefully a better understanding of the techniques. For your bio, just to be on the safe side, put down that it's in training.

I was hoping you would only use one technique for each section, hence why I put three different jutsu there for you to defend against. Now for your reasoning it's quite solid, but at the same time it's not what I had in mind. But then again that could just be me with really unorthodox ways of defending against these techniques. But anyway, I'll tell you my reasoning for why I've chosen these jutsu for you to defend against, and what I would do myself.

Defending against the Shuriken Shadow Clone, while you're not wrong in the sense that it wouldn't slow you down, I'd find that using the Stone Golem would be best against this. They're both viable counters, but I'd hope you'd pick up on the fact that I wanted you to body block these kunai coming at you with something else, rather than defending against it with your own body. It's good, but that still leaves you susceptible to Lightning Release, while the Stone Golem doesn't so much. Also try to remember your chakra expenditure is important to note; if you're intending on role-playing in the Ninja World, these things are important, and it would be best to try and go with what you should do, rather than what you can do. That's a good thing to remember as well: just because you can do something, doesn't always mean you should.

The Water Dragon Whip's best counter is indeed the Multiple Mudshot Technique. What I was hoping for you to remember is that Earth has a natural strength against Water, so using this makes it viable to defend against the whips coming at you. Being able to stop the attack before it reaches you is also really important to note, as it gives you more breathing room to work with. Imagine someone using the whips against you in a battle, and you use the Hardening technique, and they follow up with Lightning, what do you think would happen? You'd essentially be boned and eventually killed because of it. Again, while the Hardening technique is really good and versatile as you've shown, it's not always the best option to go with. Also remember the strengths and weaknesses of Earth: defending against a B-Rank Water technique with a S-Rank Earth technique is always going to be overkill, unless you can follow up with it. Unfortunately the technique you've chosen isn't something like that, so it's good to be mindful of such things.

For the last jutsu, Crushing Snake Constriction, the best counter is the Hardening technique and for a simple reason which I want you to have ingrained into your brain. That being it focuses on two things: the first is that it acts as a bodily defense against the snakes trying to immobilize you, and secondly but most importantly, it acts as a release for the Genjutsu you're in. That's most likely one of the biggest selling points for Full Body release techniques like this one. Any jutsu that forces chakra out of all of your tenketsu on your body at once will count as a chakra surge, and will essentially release you from the illusion you're in. If you can discern you're in one, then you can use an appropriate release technique to get out of it. Although sometimes you won't be able to tell if someone's cast a Genjutsu on you, and you just want to defend against whatever's coming at you. In that case this technique will still work as a proper defense against it. That really can be considered metagaming which is a huge no in our roleplay, so you'd be more focused on releasing yourself by discerning that it's an illusion, rather than fighting it. I'd only use the latter reason if you had absolutely nothing else to go on.

One more thing I should mention to you about the Genjutsu Release method is that it won't always work for you, and using the right technique is also crucial in this kind of situation. Elemental chakra surges like that will dispel illusions up to one rank lower than the technique you're using. In this case, the Hardening technique you've used is S-Rank, which will break free of Genjutsu up to A-Rank. The Earth Spear technique you mentioned earlier on will dispel up to C-Rank illusions. You can read more about it in the Genjutsu rules . It's a good read, and I highly recommend giving the time of day to read it.

This is a bit long, but this is the last of it. I can consider you've learnt the following techniques:
(Doton: Dorosandan) – Earth Release: Mudshot
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 10
Description: The user spits a thick globule of mud at the target. If aimed correctly, it can blind the target's vision and choke them. It can also be used to create a sticky patch on the ground.

(Doton: Kengan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Fist Rock Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After performing the snake → Seal of Confrontation and then by encasing their arm in rock, the user can deal a powerful hardened punch against an opponent while being protected from direct contact with their target. If necessary, the weight of the rock can be increased to further increase the punch's destructive power through the Earth Release: Added Weight Technique or the Earth Release: Super Added Weight Technique.

(Doton: Dōka Iwa fubuki) - Earth Release: Assimilated Rock Blizzard
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After performing the Assimilate All Creation Technique to fuse with an object, the user controls the rocks that make up their "body" and shoot the rocks at the target.
Note: Must use Assimilate all creation technique beforehand.

( Doton: Iwa Dangan ) - Earth Release: Rock Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user manipulating their chakra will point their palm or fist at the opponent, creating a large rock on it which he then sends at the opponent. Alternatively, the user can "spit" the rock. In this case he will spit a large globule of mud which hardens mid way towards the opponent into a large rock.

(Doton: Iwa Bunshin) - Earth Release: Rock Clone Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates their clone out of stone that he spits from his mouth. Unlike other types of clones the rock clones don’t disappear after being defeated but rather crumble like rubble. These clones can also be used to create a clone of other people than themselves but do not take on the abilities of the copied person. They can use up to C-Rank Earth techniques and are very resistant to physical damage such as that from Taijutsu which they can endure up to B-Rank.

(Doton: Fukusuu no Dorosandan) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudshot Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage point: 40
Description: This jutsu is basically a widespread version of the Mudshot Technique; allowing the user to fire at multiple targets.

(Doton no Yoroi) - Earth Release Armor
Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20 (-15 per turn to remain active)
Damage points: N/A (+10 to taijutsu moves)
Description: This Technique coats the users body with stones, making them much more resistant to attacks, at the cost of their speed. Whilst using this technique, the user can even change their appearance, but once the technique is either defeated or worn off the users original appearance is shown. The user whilst in this armor is resistant to B rank ninjutsu techniques but is vulnerable to Lightning Techniques.

(Doton: Domu) – Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A (+10 to physical attacks)
Description: After performing the Snake hand seal the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The user’s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.
Note: Kakuzu bios can use this technique without the need for handseals

(Doton: Iwa no Gōremu) – Earth Release: Stone Golem
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user expels a large creature composed of stone from his mouth. The rock golem has a fair amount of stamina and brute strength, being able to bite and tear off flesh with its mouth and hands respectively. If used from above the target then the user can use the earth golem to drop down onto the opponent like a bomb and crush them. The golem can also devour earth structures and other enemy attacks, biting and chewing on it.

( Doton: Iwarin Heiban ) - Earth Release: Rock Scale Slab
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will knead their earth chakra into their stomach and then release from their mouth earthly material that then forms into a large slab of rock, that can travel with incredible force. On impact with the ground the slab forces the earth to splinter and jab anyone caught in the vicinity.

( Iwadeppō no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Rock Gun Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: After performing the Monkey Hand seal, the user expels a bullet size chunk of rock from his mouth. After they are fired, the chunks expand into huge boulders capable of causing short range destruction.

(Doton: Koka no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Hardening Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offense/Defence/Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 40 (-15 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user releases a burst of earth chakra from all over his body. As he does this, a multitude of rock seemingly grows from his skin, forming a large, dense armour or rock much bigger and bulkier than the users original size. The armour can be manipulated and used to create extendable weapons to strike a target with like rudimentary swords or hammers. The downside is that the user cannot mold techniques from other elements a part from earth while sustaining the armor. The armor can be manifested in only specific parts of the body if the user so chooses.

If you have any questions about these techniques, please ask them. If not, we'll move on to the next set.

I'm well aware about the chakra consumption when it comes to roleplay which is why I am similar to you with using unorthodox ways of dodging attacks granted you still have to use reasoning so sometimes spending more chakra would be the better option if it puts you in a better position. Also despite me understanding your reasoning for the golem it would block your view of what's in front of you so I chose the technique that would allow me visibility as well as allow me to defend from the list granted you could always exploit the kunai's weakness which is it can't change direction as easily as shuriken so if allowed I would have used the D-rank Earth release technique to create a small pillar to put me into the air above the kunia wave followed by a counter that can be more powerful due to me conserving chakra by using little to defend.

I feel like we agreed more or less on the second technique but yes it is overkill which isn't a bad thing sometimes because it will either allow you to attack at the same time you defend, can block two attacks, or even set up combos provided it is compatible elements. As per example if you use a A-rank doton technique to defend against the enemies 2 B-rank suiton techniques then the user is efficiently using their chakra as well as putting themselves in a better position since the wall takes 2 B-ranks to defeat.

And the third point thank you for the information I hate Genjutsu slightly less now. Nothing against it's users I just find it cheap and meta gaming in the way that it pauses you until you free yourself while they get to do whatever they want for at least one more turn afterwards because you have to defend against both the genjutsu and the following attacks.

But I believe I have a better understanding of this training method and would like to move onto the next set of techniques and categories.:)

Also thanks for clearing that up I will put off making it for a little while then was thinking of making a explosive bio or Hyuga with Earth/Doton being the primary specialty but will put it on the back burner for now.

I like that you're showing a good understanding of these techniques, and challenging my thoughts on what is right and wrong. Though the point I wanted to get across to you was to teach you an understanding of how to use different abilities and how to use them against Genjutsu. But I digress, you show a great level of knowledge in battle, and how to use your abilities to the best potential. I'll touch base on a couple of things, however that should be noted.

While you do say that you wouldn't be able to see your opponent if you use a technique to body block something, the reverse should also hold true. If something is blocking your sight of your opponent, that same something would also block their sight of you. This can serve as a good means of weaving hand seals, or preparing a weapon for your next big counter.

Just remember that different techniques serve different purposes. While there's no real right or wrong answer, some jutsu will be best in specific circumstances, while others won't be so great. It's all about determining what's best for your style of fighting. Jumping into the air with the D-Rank Earth Release technique leaves you susceptible to aerial attacks, since it's significantly harder to dodge in that situation. While that's true, it gives you a height advantage in a sense. Going underground to dodge an attack leaves you vulnerable to a lot of Earth elements, but also hides your position. Using a wall to defend would mean you lose sight of your opponent, but the same happens to them. Everything has an advantage and a disadvantage, and it's up to you to find what's best for you.

Now that that's over with, let's move on to the next part of training: Environmental Manipulation. What do you think this means? Like before I'd like you to go through the jutsu list and give me an example of an Environmental Manipulation technique.

Hope it didn't come off to aggressive or something just giving my opinion but sure.

Environment Manipulation
Is pretty much as it's name states, it is when the user uses their chakra to alter the environment to their benefit such as using a water source to create a typhoon or having the ground beneath the opponent cave in or form spikes. I don't feel this will require a paragraph to answer.

(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

Right answer, wrong example. When we talk about Environmental Manipulation, we mean making changes to the earth's structure, not changing the consistency of the earth itself. The D-Rank Earth Release Jutsu is a good example of this method. When you're using chakra to raise the earth, that's an example of what I mean when talking about this kind of thing. Swamp of the Underworld comes under the next category which we'll talk about later.

To put it simply: it's using chakra to change the structure of the earth itself, while keeping the consistency the same. These kinds of techniques are something you might find a lot more useful in certain areas and terrains than others. Because it utilizes the ground as a medium, keep in mind that you will need to have contact with it in order to use these jutsu.

Now then, this is going to be a little different from last time because we can't so easily split up the kinds of jutsu like we did last time, we'll talk about something else: shape manipulation. You would have learnt a little about this when you started Earth Release or Ninjutsu, or any other element so I don't think it's absolutely necessary to divulge more information on you that you probably already know. But to put it simply: these kinds of jutsu require shape manipulation in order for them to work. Some will require more than others; the D-Rank Earth Release jutsu isn't going to require as much as that of a C-Rank spikes technique.

Whats going to happen now is I'm going to give you three techniques that fit this broad category, and I want you to order them in order of Shape Manipulation and what you think requires the most of it. I would like for you to also give me a reason why you've put them in that order.

(Doton: Ganchūsō) - Earth Release: Stone Spikes
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: This technique lets the user create a few rock pillars that will protrude from the ground to skew the target. The rock pillars will even pass through obstacles to reach their target if these are less dense. The pillars/spikes can be done in any earthen surface, including other earth techniques of the user.

(Doton: Ton'neru chika no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Tunneling Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird is able to create a wide tunnel in the ground, this cannot travel through rock though or anything with a high density. The large tunnel that is created allows the user to transport others without detection.
Note: The initial entry of the technique is short range.

( Doton: Renga no Jutsu ) Earth Release: Practice Brick Technique
Type: Defensive
Rank: C
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: The user creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defence, manipulating a pre-existing ground to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. Though weak, the walls can serve as a makeshift blockade when formed by several users, slowing down large, powerful attacks. This technique is apparently extremely simple and basic among Earth Release techniques, and can thus be easily taught to and used by non-primary Earth Release users.

*Feels bad* Ok and glad I didn't have to go over shape manipulation again having mastered Ninjutsu I get the premise and understand the meaning.

3.(Doton: Renga no Jutsu ) Earth Release: Practice Brick Technique
I believe this one is third because it is simply raising the ground in a area to form a simple wall with no real enhancements whatsoever. I would say this technique has the minimum shape manipulation in general but I haven't exactly seen all Doton techniques so just going to say between these three techniques.

2.(Doton: Ganchūsō) - Earth Release: Stone Spikes
I believe this to be the second because although the premise is similar to the wall you create multiple of these simple spikes plus creating a spike is a little bit harder than creating a rectangle or square. I don't think a drawn out response is needed to explain this point any further so onto the last technique.

1.(Doton: Ton'neru chika no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Tunneling Technique
I believe this to require the most shape manipulation not only due to the amount of ground you are affecting with this technique but also how one must create a safe and fast forming tunnel through what ever surface he/she is tunneling through.

This is good, this is really good. While this is merely just an opinion, I'd think the same way. It's good that you have a clear understanding of shape manipulation and how you should apply it to your techniques. I really don't have too much to add to your knowledge.

Now then, like we did the last segment of techniques, we're going to create scenarios in which an unnamed, and rather attractive ninja has attacked you with a specific technique, and you will use one of these three techniques we've just talked about as a retaliation. Keep in mind that like last time, I would still like for you to explain why you've chosen the specific technique for the attack used against you, but this time I'd also like to see how you would use it. Try to counter these moves in a way that suits you, but also effectively halts the target in their tracks. Like last time, assume he's mid-range from you.

I'll be looking for creativity for the most part with your reply. As this is arguably a very simple subset of techniques, it's also the most versatile, and I want to see what you make of that.

(Suiton: Hahonryuu) - Water Style: Destruction Torrent
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: After waving the Boar → Dog → Ram hand seals, a water vortex created in the palm of the user’s hand that can then be blasted forward creating a spiraling wall of water which can then be used to attack or defend.
Note: No water source required

The good looking assailant forms a few short hand seals, and releases a vortex of water which is then released in your direction. If you don't retaliate, the water would push you back and knock you over.

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

He pulls out a sword and charges in for an attack. Seeing you at the ready, he induces a genjutsu upon you, waving his sword and disorienting you. After the illusion is successful, he charges in again, finishing with an overhead two handed vertical slash.

(Raiton: Shichu Shibari) – Lightning Release: Four-Pillar Bind
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After the user performs the Ram → Boar → Dog → Bird → Hare hand seals, he releases his lightning chakra into the ground, using it to forcefully shape the earth into 4 big pillars (proportionate to the target area) around the target. Once they rise, they unleash a barrage of lightning bolts, currents and shocks to whatever is inside, paralyzing, shocking and damaging the target from all around.

The man forms more hand seals, creating four pillars which tower around you. Once completed, the pillars would conduct lightning between each other, with the intention of parlyzing you.

oot: =_= Was there a reason why it has to be a attractive person? Especially a guy....:wut:

(Raiton: Shichu Shibari) – Lightning Release: Four-Pillar Bind
Well although this isn't the most creative it still works and could be used. I would in this situation perform the Doton: Tunneling Technique but instead of covering a large amount of ground I would simply create a small tunnel that would allow me to escape the pillars range.

I chose this because you only have three options of escape with this technique which are above, below, or over power it so between the previously discussed techniques below would be the best bet ergo my choice.

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Well I find this technique to be relatively useless because it just creates the illusion of multiple arms which is only useful if combined with the technique, (Mikadzuki no Mai) - Dance of the Crescent Moon in my opinion so in short this ninja made a bad choice of move and to exploit that easily I would choose Doton: Earth Spikes.

Even though I somewhat explained it before it still has more reasoning behind it. SO first if he is simply charging while waving his sword around frivolously to create illusions of multiple arms to throw the person off of which way he is going to attack all the person has to do is simply create a line of protruding spike to impale him or even better encircle him with said spikes. After all you have complete control over the location of these spikes and the ninja is clearly blocking his own view with his arm by swinging it back and forth so he more or less killed himself in that situation.

(Suiton: Hahonryuu) - Water Style: Destruction Torrent
So for this technique I would simply create a wall of earth beneath my feet using Doton: Practice Brick Technique, to rise me above the water and use the height advantage to counter attack also this would give me a full view of the battlefield.

I chose to use the technique in this way so that I could get the advantage of visibility and height versus blocking the attack on the ground and not being able to see anything because of my wall I created and the rushing water to my right and left getting diverged to either side of me. It's as simple as that.

Wouldn't you rather strike down someone who was good looking? They don't do much and they get the cute girl! Doesn't that piss you off to no end?!

Ahem, anyways... Let's go over your choices and counters one by one and I can analyze what you did to counteract my moves.

Firstly, I had the same idea against the Four-Pillar Bind technique. The pillars are created slowly, giving you time to react with the necessary hand seals, and escaping into the ground. Given the elemental weaknesses and strengths, most Earth Release techniques wouldn't be able to stand against this, so escaping using one is also another viable option. Nothing wrong with an escape either, especially something you can't overcome for whatever reason. Sometimes you're not going to be able to overpower someone's jutsu, and escape is the only option. This is a roleplay about being smart and crafty, not necessarily about as some people would put it "Jutsu Tennis".

Just remember that in our roleplay, words are power. They need to be descriptive and explain everything you do in your move. Some don't need as much as others obviously, but using this to your advantage can define what technique is best used when. In this example, it's only mentioned that the pillars tower over you, and as such you can take advantage of the vague wording and give yourself more time to perform a technique. Of course this also applies to you; be descriptive with your moves, don't leave any room for error. Even the smallest discrepancy is something your opponent can take advantage of.

Second, while you have the right idea in using the move to impale the handsome man which is good, there's other approaches you could have taken with this move. Remember the description of my move, where you become disoriented from the hallucination. You might not know exactly where the attacker is. Again it's a lack of description here that you can take advantage of but I digress. I do like your approach of not exactly fighting the Genjutsu, as it wouldn't necessarily stop you from doing anything. Very smart thinking on your part, and another thing you can take into account when it comes to fighting illusions. But there was a little something else I was hoping for. I want you to take a look at this, it's Riker's sensei test. Adachi mentioned something you might find a little interesting which is what I'd like for you to note.

Adachi said:
Second move. Note that my techniques are chosen carefully as not simply a neutralizer, but often as a double role through offensive/defensive means. My Wind move serves not only to push away the steam, but to continue forward as an attack.

Think of how you can use your moves as a double entendre of sorts. You're trapped in a Genjutsu that hinders your eyesight, so what can you do with this move? Why not use the spikes in such a fashion? Use the spikes to break yourself out of the illusion which you've managed to discern quite well, but also use it as an attack. The man's vertical slash with both hands gives him power, but also leaves himself open to a frontal attack without any defense. You could have created a spike from behind yourself, cutting into your leg which would break the illusion as well as give you clear vision of the guy, and impale him. Once again, creativity is everything here, you could use it in a number of different ways: making more spikes to hit him from more angles, or creating a spike within the spike to hit him as if he were distant. If you can really get those creative juices flowing, the sky is the limit.

For the last one, I honestly wouldn't have chosen to use the wall as a footing for yourself to get vision of the battle field, bonus points for that. I would have just put it up in front of me, haha. Anyways, it's good that you can just block these kinds of attacks but in you case giving yourself vision of youe enemy is also a good thing. You could probably use this against your target as well in a similar sense. Remember this wall is almost instantaneous when it rises, not to mention it doesn't require any hand seals or physical motions like putting your hands on the floor. If you wanted to, you could easily use this the moment you see your target spitting out the water, but right in front of them instead. That way you can force their peripheral vision to be blocked instead of yours, and you'd still be defending against the technique.

Again, the sky's the limit with these techniques. In my opinion, Earth Release is one of the most versatile elements you can work with because it's more than just spitting fireballs at someone, there's just so much you could do with it.

I'm going on a tangent here. These are the techniques for this batch that I can say you've established a strong level of understanding for and as such, learnt them.

(Doton: Ganban Kyu) - Earth Release: Bedrock Coffin
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Mid/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: After performing the Rat hand seal, the user to control multiple sections of rock and move them around their opponent. The user then forms two gigantic sections that crush the opponent.

(Doton: Iwa Yado Kuzushi) - Earth Release: Stone Lodging Destruction
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A (up to 60)
Descripton: The user will do one hand seal and cause nearby earth structures (either natural occurring ones on the field (such as cave ceilings, cliffs, etc), man made (buildings, etc) or jutsu made (up to C-Rank active structures)) to collapse and fall. This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock and dislodge any vulnerable or sensitive spots, causing the structure to collapse. This can be especially useful if in a cave or a stone lodging. The technique can loosen the rocks and cause them to come raining down on whomever is trapped inside. The damage depends on the size of the cavern or rock lodging above or nearby the target and not on the amount of chakra used which doesn't need to be high. A large cave with a thick ceiling can easily do the physical damage equivalent to an A-Rank technique but due to the damage not being focused or chakra fueled, its also easily defendable.

(Doton: Ganchūrō no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Rock Pillar Prison Technique
Rank: C
Type: Defence/supplementary
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Rat → Horse → Dog → Snake and they then create a large amount of rock pillars to rise from under ground. They can then be controlled to surround their opponent and create a bamboo-like prison of rock.

(Doton: Doroku Gaeshi) - Earth Release: Earth Shore Return
Rank: C
Type: Defence
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After striking the ground with their hands, the user manipulates the ground in front of him to form a slab that tilts upwards, up to 90º, creating a wall of earth that can defend from incoming frontal attacks. In addition, the user can also create 2 slabs that will rise and tilt to the sides in front of him, as if "opening up" the ground. This can be done to create a clear path if anything hazardous is above the ground in that specific area.

(Doton: Doryūkatsu) - Earth Release: Earth Flow Divide
Rank: C-A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15-30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the required hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger → Snake and slamming the hands on the ground, the user can, by flowing concentrated chakra into the Dragon Veins flowing underground, tear the earth apart, creating large chasms by raising the earth in two oposite sides in the desired location and then splitting that piece of earth through the center. The length, width, direction, and curve of the chasm are all up to the user. Manipulating the Dragon Veins requires fine chakra control, but if one has such skill, they can use this technique to divide the space between the enemy and their own team in two, destroy enemy camps or defences, and even to attack.
Note: This does not split the earth appart directly to cause opponents to fall in the fissure.

(Doton: Tsuchi Douyou no Hira) – Earth Release: Earth Shaking Palm
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After performing snake hand seal the user slams their hand on the ground. The result is that the ground becomes heavily turned up with chunks of rubble popping out of the ground. This technique is used as a means to distract opponents to either create an escape or follow through with a surprise attack although it can also do some damage or be udes to destroy enemy earth techniques of equal rank and bellow.

(Doton: Dāchiganshō) - Earth Release: Ground Bedrock
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After forming the necessary seal Snake, the user creates two walls of earth and traps their target in between them, crushing them.

( Doton: Rokkuhanmā ) - Earth Release: Rock Hammer
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30

By doing so, he causes small fractures to rip through the ground, which will then force fragments of earth and rock to rise up from the ground like protruding rock formations to then deal blunt force damage to the opponent and can raise them up into the air.

(Doton: Shōheki) Earth Release: Enclosing Wall
Type: Defensive
Rank: C-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description:
The Earth Release Enclosing Wall is a technique where the user performs the Ram → Tiger → Snake → Dog → Snake hand seals and creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defence, manipulating a pre-existing ground to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. Though weak, the walls can serve as a makeshift blockade when formed by several users, slowing down large, powerful attacks. Not only that but while being describe as simple and basic, the truth is that the technique itself has rather a large scale. This technique is apparently extremely simple and basical among Earth Release techniques, and can thus be easily taught to and used by non-primary Earth Release users.

(Doton: Iwa no Hogo) - Earth Release: Earth Shelter Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.

(Doton: Iwa Enchou no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Dome Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description:The user slams his hands on the ground and creates a 1/4 dome of earth, which protects them from frontal external attacks. The domes shape is in a similar fashion to wood release: wood locking walls.

(Doton: Tsuchi Kairō) - Earth Release: Earth Corridor
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the snake hand seal and then cause the earth in the surrounding area to rise up and over a target and create a cavern, imprisoning the target. (Doton: Doryū Jōheki) - Earth Release: Earth Flow Rampart
Rank: B
Type: Defence/Supplementary
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: By performing the Tiger hand seal the user then makes a gigantic rampart rise up beneath the user's feet, by shaping the ground and increasing the amount of earth with chakra. Depending on what the user imagines, the shape of the rampart can be anything from level ground to a steep, needle-like mountain. If the user increases the volume of earth too much, he can be forced to keep his chakra consumption down. The user can combine this jutsu with Water Style: Waterfall Basin Technique to create a waterfall.

(Doton: Doryuheki) - Earth Release: Earth Style Wall Jutsu
Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the Tiger → Hare → Boar → Dog and then creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defense. Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall. Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against, for instance, fire and water. Hizuren Sarutobi spits mud from his mouth to perform the jutsu whilst Kakashi creates a wall composed of bulldog sculptures to box-in Pain.

(Doton: Doryūsō) - Earth Release: Earth Flow Spears
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user first performs the Bird hand seal and the user condense mud or stone, from the ground, and shape them into spikes that will protrude from the ground in order to skewer the target. The spikes cannot penetrate targets of greater density.

(Doton: Iwayado Kuzushi) - Earth Style: Rock Lodging Destruction
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user performs the required hand seals Tiger → Rat → Snake and they then causes a cave-in by destroying the equilibrium that holds the cave together. Just removing a single vital stone throws off the balance of the cave, making it unexpectedly fragile and causing a domino effect that destroys the entire cave. The shinobi from Iwagakure use this technique in their pride tactic, luring several enemies into a cave to kill them all at once.

(Doton: Ukiwagan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Floating Ring Rock Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user focuses his chakra and channels into the earth to create 2 large floating rock cubes 2 meters squared. The cubes rotate around the user to either defend him from incoming attacks (he needs to direct them using hand movements towards the attack and each cube has a C-Rank strength) or, through using the momentum created by the rotation, be flung at the enemy with incredible speed.

The floor, the walls and the ceiling are all chakra reenforced and the user can also lock himself inside if he so pleases. If these prison receives any damage above C-Rank, they disappear in a puff of smoke.

( Doton: Jimen Bunretsu no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Ground Splitting Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After forming the necessary hand seals Rabbit → Boar → Rat → Horse → Tiger , the user slams their hands into the ground which causes the earth to erupt upwards or downwards below their target's feet. This technique can also effectively create barricades by creating large trenches or linear elevations that would take quite some time for a regular person to surmount.

( Doton: Shōnyūseki) - Earth Release: Stalactite
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage poinnts: 40

The user will then unleash the three huge rocks coming from three different angles from infront of the enemy to smash into each other causing segements to start protruding from the collision and damaging the opponent.

( Doton: Tajū Doryūheki ) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudwall Technique
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: Like the parent technique, it creates a reinforced wall of earth to be used as a defensive mechanism. However, the technique works in a different manner. Using a pre-existing source of earth, it allows the user to create multiple walls of earth, further fortifying their defense instead of forming a single wall, by slamming his hands on the ground.

(Doton: Uitenpen) - Earth Style: Wheel Of Fortune
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Descripton: The user will bite his thumb and perform the Boar → Monkey → Bird → Monkey → Ram hand seals, slamming their hand into a scroll on the ground. This technique is a combination of the Summoning Technique and an Earth Release technique. The user summons a large amount of rock from a giant canyon which, during the process of being summoned through this technique, he shapes into a design he outlined previously in a scroll. This allows the user to change the topography of the map and create any earthen feature he needs from pillars to gorges, canyons, mountains or simply plains. If the user wants to or is defeated, the alteration ends as any summon eventually does. Additionally he can use (Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control at any point to change the design and alter the summoned terrain.
Note: can only be used once per battle

(Doton: Dimenshon Fuudo Shihai) - Earth Release: Dimension Topography Control
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description:This jutsu is used after Earth Style: Wheel of Fortune. The user will do the Boar → Monkey hand seals, slamming his hand on the ground and focusing his earth chakra. As he does this, he can change the design of the original technique. He can do this 3 times per battle.

(Doton: Dochūbaku) - Earth Release: Landslide Technique
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra to create the earth infront of them to turn to a lose like quality by slamming his hands on the ground to create a landslide that is directed towards the enemy target in the form of a wave of earth.

(Doton: Kujo Joushou Iwa Chuuseki) - Earth Release: Destructive Rising Rock Pillars
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: This jutsu causes gigantic pillars of rock to forcefully emerge from the ground. This is a even greater scaled Earth Release: Rising Spikes and is large enough to impale a summoning technique.

(Doton: Chidōkaku) - Earth Release: Moving Earth Core
Rank: A
Type: Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and lowers or raises the ground in the surrounding area at high speeds, allowing them to create giant holes in the ground or avoid attacks. The size of the affected area as well as the depths that it is lowered to is up to the user and rasing earth can be done up to 20 meters tall creating a small cliff or they can create trenches that can be as deep as 20 meters. Other than being moved below ground relative to the surrounding surface the terrain is not altered, plant life and people retaining their same positions.

(Doton: Daichidōkaku) - Earth Release: Great Moving Earth Core
Rank: S
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This technique grants the user the ability to freely lower or raise the terrain within a specific area surrounding them, in a similar manner to its parent technique, albeit on a much larger scale. The user will slam his hands on the ground which he can then lower or raise the ground up to 100 meters in a large section. The rise will be fast enough to pin enemies to the ground, restricting their movements as they struggle to get up and the drop will be fast enough to leave almost all enemies without a footing (albeit not airborne). Because of the large chakra needed to alter such a large area of the terrain, the user will be able to use it only a limited number of times.
Note: Can only be used twice.

(Doton: Dosenkiryū) – Earth Release: Earth and Stone Dragon Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Long (Made short range of the user with a long range reach)
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Horse → Dog → Bird → Ox → Snake will create a large dragon of earth erupt from the ground and direct it towards the enemy with devastating force. This technique much resembles the Water Release: Water Dragon technique.

(Doton: Kaido Shōkutsu) - Earth Style: Opening Earth Rising Excavation
Rank: S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: N/A
Description: With the technique, the user can bring up something from deep within the ground by slamming his hands on the ground and manipulating it to forcefully make whatever is contained in it to be expelled upwards. The result of this technique has the appearance of an erupting volcano and can vary in size depending on the users needs.

(Doton: Yama Eikyō) - Earth Release: Mountain Smash
Rank: S
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra cost: 70
Damage points: 120
Description: The user will do 3 handseals (Tiger → Ram → Rat) and slam his hands on the ground which creates two enormous rock formations that close in on the opponent from two opposing sides with tremendous force, smashing everything caught in between. Both of these formations are capable of dwarfing even the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path in size. This is one the most strongest Earth based techniques, standing as a testament to both this ability's destructive potential and its difficulty. However, because of its size and power, it can only be used a limited amount of times, requires much chakra and can only be used at least mid range from the user.
Note: Can only be used twice
Note: Can only be used by Earth Primary Specialists.

(Doton: Dai iwa Kyojin no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Great Stone Golem Technique
Rank: S
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long (Made short range of the user with a long range reach)
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user creates a even larger and stronger version of Earth Release: Stone Golem Technique. However, unlike the smaller version, the user creates this stone golem from the ground solely. The user will slam his hand on the ground, manipulating it and shaping it into a large warrior of stone which he can control as long as he keeps his hand in contact with it or with the ground and keeps fueling the technique with chakra. The golem can reach heights of 30 meters and is quite massive but seems to also be capable of moving quite fast as well.

I may have forgotten a couple, and I apologize for that. I didn't realise there was a sheer amount of jutsu here, I didn't even realise how many there would be. I'm so glad we're doing this training style, praise Adachi-sensei. Anyways, I won't ask much from you, go over these techniques like last time, and if you've got any questions regarding specific jutsu, let me know and I'll answer to the best of my ability. If not, we'll move onto the next batch. ^^

I want you to take a look at this, it's Riker's sensei test. Adachi mentioned something you might find a little interesting which is what I'd like for you to note.

(Doton: Dāchiganshō) - Earth Release: Ground Bedrock
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After forming the necessary seal Snake, the user creates two walls of earth and traps their target in between them, crushing them.

( Doton: Rokkuhanmā ) - Earth Release: Rock Hammer
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user manipulates their chakra and creates a huge rock from the ground that will rise up, hammering the opponent by slamming it down from above them.

( Doton: Jōshō Iwa ) - Earth Release: Rising Rocks
Rank: C
Type: Offensive

Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and stomps the ground. By doing so, he causes small fractures to rip through the ground, which will then force fragments of earth and rock to rise up from the ground like protruding rock formations to then deal blunt force damage to the opponent and can raise them up into the air.

(Doton: Retsudo Tenshō) - Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long

Damage Points: 40
Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar → Ox → placing hand on the ground, the user causes the ground surrounding the enemy to spiral inwards on itself, burying them alive or crushing them in a mayhem of jagged rocks. This technique is capable of causing quite a bit of damage to a large area. This technique is much more damaging if used in rocky mountainous areas, or inside a cave.

( Doton: Dosekidake no Jutsu ) - Earth Release: Earth and Stone Bamboo Shoot Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user of this technique condenses the soil and rock in the area to sprout out in the form of four large spikes which attack the target from four separate directions to make it harder to evade. However, it can be easilty avoided by escaping upwards.

(Doton: Iwa Keiro) – Earth Style: Rock Trail
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user slams their hands on the ground and giant rocks rise up and jag the opponent from underneath.

(Doton: Musaborudzuchi) – Earth Release: Devouring Earth
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user performs the Ram → Horse → Tiger → Rabbit → Snake and slams their palm on the ground. The size of the jaws can be adjusted to fit the size of the opponent or other uses.

The user can leave an opening to allow attacks to go in to strike down the trapped adversaries, or close it up completely to prevent escape.

(Doton: Tetsu Keimusho no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Iron Prison Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After first performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat the user then places their hand on the ground. This causes a circular arena to surround the target, spanning 15 meters around him and being 4 meters high.

Description: The user manipulates their chakra creating three huge rocks infront of them.

Lol, I guess I'm a different type of guy I'm not really bothered by that because I know that it could either be a mistake on her part or it might be a good fit who knows. Besides I know at the end of the day it's simple evolutionary science all you have to do is find someone who finds your genes attractive more or less of course feeling must be mutual but hey who knows...

I understood all that was said although I wouldn't necessarily go for my leg since it would effect my speed and movement so if I was to go for that plan I would go for cutting my cheek and piercing his head or torso after cutting me since all it would do is bleed and break me out of the genjutsu without causing to much damage in the long run. After all rp can be more like chess sometimes you have to think ahead of the opponent.

When you're ready to move on sir.=D

Well for the most part it's all up to you what you wanna do, it's just some cases using a technique in that manner might be better than just biting a chunk out of your cheek. But that's all up to how you wanna fight.

We're up to the third section of this: Advanced Conversions. It's pretty basic as to what it entails, but I want you to describe it, in your own words please. What does this sub-section of techniques mean in terms of Earth Release? Specifically, what makes it similar and different to the previous set of techniques we just discussed? Like always, please provide an example from the jutsu list that fits the description.

Point made but I wasn't thinking a chunk so much as a scrap only deep enough to cause pain and bleed but not enough to permanently effect the character's face.

Well if I had to guess at what it means since I'm actually pretty clueless on this one, I would have to say it is something similar to a KG or advanced element in which it is a combination of things. Well either that or a alternative form of Earth so something like mud instead of the normal solid form aka 90%, at least, of the Doton jutsu list. U_U

Yeah, Advanced Conversions can be a little difficult to understand but for the most part you're right about them. Usually Earth Release is solid, and we manipulate that to move in a way that we want to. This method of Earth Release puts a slight spin on it; that being the earth isn't always solid, but may be of other consistencies. The simplest way to think about these kinds of techniques is that you pour your chakra into the solid earth and change its molecular structure to something else. This can include anything: mud, sand, dirt and so on. I hope you're getting the idea of what these kinds of techniques are.

It should be noted that these techniques still require you to be on the ground as for the most part, they're all about manipulating the ground into something else.

With that simple explanation out of the way, let's go over some of the techniques. What do you think the difference between the following would be?
  • Transforming the earth into mud
  • Transforming the earth into sand
  • Manipulating the earth after converting it

  • Transforming the earth into mud
  • Transforming the earth into sand
  • Manipulating the earth after converting it

Well assuming you mean the difference between normal doton techniques and these versions more or less....U_U

Transforming earth to mud
Well the main difference would of course be the consistency and along with this new consistency would bring new properties. Such as the conductivity of this substance and the ability to actually flow versus the solid form's version of flowing(rapid destruction and creation more or less creates the illusion of flowing doton.) I would like to think that mud would be able to take on the energy of raiton better and it gains a new uses which are mainly hinder and suffocate targets.

Transforming earth to sand
Same as before it has a new consistency and gains new properties. Although this new version of earth has different weaknesses compared to it "brother" which is water due to the water being able to saturate the sand making it practically useless when compared to the solid or compacted form. Sand is simply scattered minerals after all so water can easily break apart any sort of adhesiveness in the sand that was created by the user. But it does also gain a new strength which is it is able to move faster since it can actually flow and move easier similar to futon or air. This form also offers the same new uses as mud it can hinder and suffocate targets as well as crush if there is enough to bury the target underneath.

Manipulating the earth after converting it
I don't think there is to much difference so much as it is most likely easier to handle depending on the form and the users will. For example sand would be faster and easier to control when compared to a solid object that moves slower although it will most likely take less focus, as we have seen in the manga a normal doton user can use a technique and direct it towards a target and move on while sand users such as Gaara have to constantly guide the sand which preoccupy his hands/arms and eyes which is why if the sand didn't protect him he would be somewhat of a hinderance in battle due to having to protect him.

I may have worded that poorly, I should have meant for you to define what those things are, not the difference between that and the other methods' use of solid earth. >_>

Anyway, for the first one you're pretty much right on the mark here. It's the basis of changing the consistency to that of mud. Whereas the other Doton techniques we've spoken about are solid, mud and other things are quite malleable and soft. Think of this version similar to a melting ice cube in a sense. After a while the solid becomes a liquid, but in this case the earth still has a really strong consistency to it. This is important to remember in a lot of cases, especially working with techniques like Swamp of the Underworld which you would have seen around plenty. This consistency of mud can change depending on what you personally want, so work with that. The power of description is strong, and can turn jutsu you thought were limited in use to be great and quite variable.

Also forget the power to sponge Raiton, in our RP all Earth Release is weak to Lightning. It'd be nice to see some customs based on the concept of sponging them however.

Second, you're right on that so I don't have a lot to add on what you're saying. Sand or dirt is often a lot lighter than other releases of Earth, and could easily be complimented with such jutsu.

For the last one however you're still right, but there's something I'd like to clear up on. In terms of manipulation for the sake of jutsu, it's not necessarily faster or slower than those of solid rock. If anything I'd say it has more "flow". What I mean is that it would be akin to Water Release, which can bend easily unlike that of Earth Release. That's your main advantage. You could easily use these kinds of techniques to fight jutsu that come at you from an obscure angle or something that might be easy to avoid.

Alright, so with that done I think you know the drill by now. I'm going to give you three jutsu and I want you to counter them using techniques that fit this subset of techniques. This time however, I'd like for you to find from the jutsu list the techniques you think would counter best. They don't have to be transforming the area into specific things, but hey if you want to then that's fine. All I'm looking for this time is techniques that fit Advanced Conversion.

(Raijin) - Zeus
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will strike the target into the air with a lightning infused uppercutting palm attack.

A man charges in at you and strikes your chest with a lightning chakra infused palm attack.

(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Manda) - Summoning Technique: Manda
Rank: Forbidden Rank
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 50
Damage points: N/A (-10 to user upon summoning)
Description:
Manda is a gigantic, 100 meter long snake who serves as the "leader" of all snakes. Fierce and aggressive, Manda is a shrewd warrior. To summon Manda, the user takes a big gamble, as he can easily turn on its summoner if he so deems it. Not only that, but the sacrifice and the amount of chakra needed damages the user, making summoning Manda a forbidden act. Manda has some unique abilities. Extremely fast and strong, his tail acts as a sharp mace that he can fling at the enemies with ease, speed and tremendous power (capable of overcoming even A-Rank defenses). Manda is also capable of using his chakra for 2 unique techniques: he can borrow underground (even if its affected by up to A-Rank techniques), tunneling through the earth at enormous speed or shed his skin, using a sort of substitution technique, where he trades places with his shed skin. While underground, Manda can sense the vibrations through the earth and pinpoint the location of his enemy. While completely immune to techniques A-Rank and below, Manda can take one S-Rank attack and survive by shedding his skins afterwards, although this can only be done once.
Note: requires snake contract
Note: can only be summoned once

Someone else summons a large purple snake, who looks at you menacingly before lunging at you, in an attempt to eat you alive.

(Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground one can sense what is happening on the surface and use the information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. Once can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy cant reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth. While inside the earth, the user cannot make handseals and can only use Earth techniques below C-Rank. If he tries to do a higher ranked technique, he'll disrupt the Hiding like a mole technique and be left crushed.

A man for some reason is a bit of an idiot, and buries himself underground right before your eyes. He sneaks up behind you in attempt of assassination.

Well I would use the technique Earth Flow River simply because he becomes less of a threat if he can't use his cqc technique especially when he gets carried away from me not to mention that this move will set me up for multiple techniques that can instantly be comboed with this move. So he essentially set up his own death thanks to this move.

(Doton: Doryū Taiga) - Earth Release: Earth Flow River
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After forming the needed hand seal (Tiger), the user transforms the ground underneath their opponent into a river of mud that throws them off balance and carries them away from the user. The mud created by this technique can also be used as a medium for the Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet technique.
Manda
Well in canon Swamp of The Under World stopped the most dangerous part of this summon, that of course being his speed, but it would be easier and faster to simply take out the the person who summoned Manda to begin with and that should theoretically cancel out the summon or at least allow me the luxury of being able to focus on one potentially dangerous opponent instead of two. So in light of all this I'm going with the technique Sticky Earth Drop in order to crush the opponent no matter his position on the summon and allow me to kill the opponent or at least immobilize them allowing the killing blow to be dealt.

(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) – Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user does 2 handseals (Ram → Snake) and creates an opening within the sky, which drips down onto the opponent a large amount of sticky mud (in all similar to that of Swamp of the Underworld Technique), covering them. The mud is very heavy and thick as well as adhesive, making it impossible to move if caught and easily crushing an enemy underneath. It’s normally followed up by Lightning release: sixteen pillar bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire release: Firing biscuit technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.
Hiding like a mole technique
Even though this is laughable I would simply use the technique Swamp of The Underworld to create a giant swamp all around me to suffocate the idiot for choosing such a dumb move or at least making it so obvious. Anyway should the opponent somehow survive I could easily have another move prepared for when he surfaces.

Alright, for the most part it was good and had all the answers I was looking for. You can clearly establish what moves to use and when to use them in what situations which I'm proud of. But let's talk about the Manda counter for a second.

It's good that you mentioned that usnig Swamp of the Underworld would indeed affect Manda's movement, I was actually hoping you'd pick that up, so props for that. As for your intended counter to Manda, I do believe that Swamp would have been much more effective at this. But I do get where you're coming from with the use of this technique. Not sure if it would work since Manda is an animal with its own mind and sentience, so it wouldn't necessarily disappear. That is however, not something I can confirm myself since I don't really know what would happen in the situation where an animal is summoned, and its summoner dies. I don't think he would disappear, so its not really a reliable method.

Also regarding your use of technique, it's questionable as to why you chose it, but passable. I'd personally categorize it as "Other" releases of Earth, but that's something I'd have to ask Adachi. It's questionable because these techniques require you to transform the ground, but this is opening a portal up in the sky to drop mud on someone. I won't ask you to go for it again, but it's important to keep that in mind. ^^

So with that out of the way, these are all the Advanced Conversion techniques you've learned.

(Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique

Note: Takes one turn to set the trap up and wolves only last two turns

(Doton: Arijigoku no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Antlion Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Mid/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40

The range of the pit is determined by how much chakra is put into the technique.

(Doton: Yomi Numa) - Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld

Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: After performing a sequence of three hand seals Dog → Ram → Boar the user then creates a small wall of earth to rise up from the ground infront of them and cause a mud slide to form from the wall and directs it towards the enemy target/s to try engulf them.

(Doton: Kachiku Kanshou ) Earth Release: Bovine Intervention
Rank: A

By slamming the user's palm on the ground, or on any thrown or erupted earth structure, the user is able to harden or soften the said structure, all at once. The technique is based on the user's chakra reservations, and thus the area and volume of the feature the user wishes to change varies with it.
As described this technique has two variants:

(Buru no Ai Naguriai) Bison's Love Fist, which allows the structure struck by the right hand to harden immediately. Basically, any soft structure, such as Sand, Gravel or Mud (Created by Earth Release (Canon Element), not Mud Release (Custom Element) will turn into rock.

(Ushi no Nyuujou Kissu) Cow's Milky Kiss, which allows the structure struck by the left hand to soften immediately. Basically, any hard structure, such as Rock, Harden Mud or Earth will turn into sand.
Note: Can only be used three times per battle
Note: Courtesy of Lili-Chwan

Yeah, so there's not as many techniques here for you to go over and review. But please do go over them, and if you've got any questions in regards to how they work, I'll try my best to answer them. If not, thats Advanced Conversions done, and we'll have one more section to go before finishing.

Alright then, so the last category we must go through is Other various releases of Earth Release. To put it simply, this is anything thats created through unorthodox means that isn't encompassed within the first three. Because of that they're all going to be different from each other, and unfortunately we're going to have to go through all of these separately. So basically it's going to go down like any other normal training would: I'll post some techniques, and we can really just talk about them, how you'd go about using them and so on. Depending on the techniques themselves, we'll either go through the ranks or just if they're similar.

So yeah here are your C-Rank techniques.

(Doton: Yochi no Douyou) - Earth Release: World Shaking
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will concentrate and release their chakra into the ground to create a small tremer that can result in making the enemies lose their footing and fall to ground or miss the aim of a given technique.

(Doton: Dochū Eigyo no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique
Rank: C
Type: Defence/Supplementary
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Using this jutsu, a person can hide underground until they're ready to attack an opponent by merging with the ground itself. By utilizing earth-chakra, the person can stealthily emerge from the ground without disrupting the ground around him. The disadvantage with this technique is that merging with the ground is rather slow and while perfomring the technique, the user is vulnerable to high ranked Earth techniques. The user isn't hidden from doujutsu or sensory ninjas and cannot travel beyond the 3 meter deep mark. Moving around in the ground is slow and the user cannot sense very well what is happening above.

So I'd like for you to just tell me what you think of these jutsu, tell me what you think some good strengths and weaknesses are, and an opportunity where you think you might be able to use these.

Sorry for the late reply real life stuff...

Earth Release: World Shaking
A few strengths of this technique is that it can be done quickly and inconspicuously due to the lack of hand seals and how there are no exaggerated movements to give away the plan. Another strength would be that this could easily disrupt the opponents move without using to much chakra or interfering to much with the user's movements allowing a quick combo to be performed following this technique.

A couple weaknesses I could think about is that it can only be used on solid ground and can only effect those that are also on the ground. Another is that it can be countered by simply getting airborne.

I would use this technique if the opponent is about to release a projectile based technique or while running at a opponent to allow me to get to the second technique unhindered by using this beforehand.

Earth Release: Underground Projection Fish Technique

Sadly this technique has more weaknesses than strengths and are all listed already in the description of the technique so if I was to say the weaknesses it would just be me repeating it ergo I'll just skip it.

The strengths are that it allows the user to go underground and travel a distance all in one technique instead of having to use two techniques. Another is that it is stealthy meaning that it's difficult to notice if the user has cover such as a smoke bomb.

I would use this technique if I didn't have the time to use Hide Like A Mole Technique in a battle or should I need to get some space between me and the opponent(s) while dodging at the same time to allow myself the ability to still use two more techniques after surfacing.

Unfortunately these techniques aren't the best when it comes to actual offensive usage. World Shaking is a glorified earthquake which I'd like to think of as something used to disrupt preparation and so on. For example, if someone's drawing a sword or performing hand seals, you might find this a good technique to interrupt what they're doing. Underground Projection Fish is a weaker variant of Leech all Creation, so it's the same kind of thing without the limitations. You might find some use for it, but I don't particularly like the whole fleeing underground.

With that done, let's move onto B-Ranks~! However this time I'd like for you to add on when you might use these techniques, as opposed to another variant of it. For example, when would you use the Earth Shadow Clone instead of a normal one?

(Doton: Otoshibuta) – Earth Release: Dropping Lid
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After doing the Snake handseal and slamming his hands on the ground, he user creates a portal above the target, high in the sky from which a giant, boar-shaped, earthen lid drops and falls on the target, trapping it underneath. The lid can be hollow or solid, depending on if the user wants to deal damage to the enemy or not. Because of its size, to safely used, the lid has to be created at least mid range from the user otherwise he will also be caught inside. The biggest lid can dwarf a boss summon like Nagato's Dog or Gamabunta.

(Doton Kage Bunshin) – Earth Release Shadow Clone
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique creates a clone made of mud. Since its made of mud, it can continue to reform and mold itself back to its original shape even after taking physical damage (up to C-Rank). An unique use is that after reverting to mud, it can hold the opponent in place as a binding technique. They can also use up to C rank earth techniques.

(Doton: Iwagakure no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Hiding in Rock Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defence/Supplementary
Range: Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This is a technique that allows its user to blend into rocks, move inside them and then move in and out of other rocks undetected. Despite this, Doujutsu and Sensors can still detect the opponent. The limitation of the technique is that it cannot be used to meld into other types of earth than rock or solid earth and its not a very fast technique, despite being faster than Underground Projection Fish technique.
Note: Can only blend through on C rank and below Earth Techniques
