Okay, I'm going to throw this out here. ;-; Bother me as much as you can, it's even better for me if you can communicate with me in some way outside of NB.
I'll do my best to respond daily as much as possible, it'll be harder with finals coming up, but I'll always keep this thread on the back of my mind!
It's a little odd that the Yamanaka clan isn't as popular as it should be. Personally, while I've never made the bio, it's abilities continue to fascinate me on more than one level and can potentially be "OP" if worded well.
So, I'd like to hear a little of your thoughts on why you chose to learn these abilities and why they appeal to you during battle.
Well I'm seeking Snake Sage mode at the moment so had to pick a non-kekkei Genkai bio and only had a few potential clans that caught my interest. One was Nara, the other was Akamichi while the other was Yamanaka. I chose Yamanaka because from my point of view they have the most interesting type of abilities. They can use telepathy from great distances, take over someone's conscious and even control people's bodies without leaving their bodies. I chose it because those abilities can potentially leave great openings that will help me prevail.
Ah, yes! I saw you pass the test not long ago for Snake Sage Mode! Congrats!
Alright, I have one last question for you as well we get started on the very first technique. In the trio of "Ino-Shika-Cho", what is the Yamanaka's role and why is it important? I personally have a Nara bio, so it's always fun to see someone use a bio of the other two clans.
So, there aren't too many techniques for the Yamanaka clan, but let's start with the very basics. Since I didn't really start our training session off as an RP style, I'm converting this to a Socrates method learning style!
(Shintenshin No Jutsu) - Mind Body Change Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The Mind Body Switch Technique is the signature ability of the Yamanaka clan. Originally, this ninjutsu was suited for intelligence-gathering missions rather than battle. With it, a ninja sends his mind into a target's body supplanting the target's mind with their own. The user transfers their consciousness to the target, giving them complete control of the body for a short period of time. While in control of the body, the user is able to communicate with the target. As the user propels all of their mental energy, the shooting range and number of hits are considerably limited. It is also possible for the user to switch bodies with the target. This has great strategic value when used on a team-mate as neither body is left incapacitated and they may also make use of the user's abilities as well as their own while doing this. To remain inconspicuous when spying, the user can perform this technique on an animal, such as a hawk, which they can use to do aerial reconnaissance. Normally, their original body is left defenceless while this technique is active, leaving it susceptible to attack until they return. The mind transfer moves in a straight direction and takes some time to return to the user's body if it misses. Should any physical injury befall the victim's body while the mind-link is active, it would cause the user's body to also receive those same injuries. This can be rectified if user cancels the technique before the victim's body receives the damage.
Note:Must be a member of the Yamanaka Clan or be taught by a member of the Yamanaka Clan. This jutsu can be broken but the opponent must pay double the chakra of this jutsu and remain in this jutsu for half of its turn value
Here is the foundational technique for the Yamanaka clan. My lord, there are some horrible grammar and spelling mistakes in the description, I suppose I'll need to fix that another day.
So, there are some prominent points in this technique.
Firstly, the ability to possess a human target and secondly, the ability to possess an animal. Provide me a scenario for each corresponding ability (so, one for possessing a human and the other for an animal) and how you plan on taking full advantage of the technique as well as covering the weaknesses associated with it.

Ok this is a very neat, yet dangerous technique to use if not done carefully. First I'll explain precautions I'd take whilst using this, since imo the precautions one would take could be very important to the usage. In battle, I'd limit myself to only using this if i had a trustworthy comrade by my side, an effective summon to protect me, or a clone/Numerous clones of myself that could watch my back. I think a clone or good summoning could cover the weaknesses this technique has, though of course not all precautions are full proof.
A scenario with me possessing an animal? Hmm I'd like to think I'd put this to use in the NW for spying purposes or if in a battle I'd try taking over a summoning that has decent abilities. In the NW, i could use this to take over a stray animal of some sort and just fly/walk into a village unnoticed to see what's going on. Imo there's no real way of knowing the animal has my conscious, so would take some sort of meta gaming to figure such things out. I came to this conclusion because I'm under the belief that i don't send chakra to a target for this, simply my conscious. So they wouldn't be able to sense me within, unless they can sense that the animal has multiple conscious' inside of it, which i don't believe anyone can do.
On a person it would be much more tricky tbh. This isn't something I'd just openly use in battle until i can find more ways to make it effective. But for the sake of it, I'll explain a little scenario. I could use this in a 2v1 match, with me against 2 opponents. I'd firstly use a clone technique most likely to have maybe 2 or 3 clones watching over my body. Once I'm sure my body is in a safe enough situation to use this ability, I'd aim to take over the body of one of the opponents. I'd take over the body, and as mentioned before (plz correct me if I'm wrong) i don't believe anyone can sense me taking over the body, so would be in great position to attack. This not only puts me in close proximity to one of the targets, but i could use some sort of technique that aims to hurt them both while my clones attack. This is a pretty decent strategy seeing as the targets would not only have to defend against a teammate at point blank range, but also my clones. Of course, before my opponent gets hurt, I'd swiftly change back to my body to avoid us both being harmed.
Question: Can me switching consciousness be physically stopped? Like you're directly in front of me and i shoot my consciousness at you, could you (if you're able to perceive my consciousness) use an elemental technique such as wind or fire to "stop" the progression of the consciousness, or would it phase through like ghosts?
