"Kenjutsu means "Sword Technique" and basically are techniques that involve using swords. This type of combat is primarily used by samurai but is also seen used by ninja like Dauri and Kisame for example. Kenjutsu is also known for having a great conjunction with many sorts of Taijutsu [including free from] as well as Ninjutsu a; like Futon techniques such as (Fūton: Kujaku Senpū) - Wind Release: Peacock Whirlwind.

I would like to learn it because it would be a great asset; as I think it would be a good combination with Gentle Fist Taijutsu. Also to be honest, swords are pretty cool."

"Short and sweet, I like that. Okay now I want you to attack my clone using your blade, I want you to explain to me while attacking my clone, how you want to go about it, remember to attack him, use creative moves and stances, I need you to be as detailed as you can, like you're trying to kill my clone. GO!"

After hearing Nathan.'s explanation, Neji nods "Can do." He then picks up his black katana that was sitting besides him on the grass & stands up. After staring intently as the clone, he positions himself his new, temporary stance: His torso is leaning forward a little bit, his katana is being held with both hands with the blade slightly dipped, his left leg is behind him [the knee is bent], and his dominant right leg is in front [it is straight, kind of going diagonal].

Ready to strike, removes the scabbard, bends both knees and begins a full sprint towards the clone now placing the blade on his right side [still holding it with both hands]. When he is close enough, he picks up his blade and swings his sword to the left and up, slicing the clone's chest diagonally and takes an extra step so that he is behind him. After doing so, he flips the katana around into the Icepick-style [with 2 hands on the hilt] while still facing the opposite direction & guides the sword into the clone, impaling him in the back and through his sternum. He then, removes the sword from the clone and places it back into its scabbard after wiping the blade clean with a cloth.

"That was very good, nice strikes and the detail was awesome. Now we can start your first technique, below I will show you the technique"

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

Pretty much all you have to do is, get in close and take out your sword, deal about 5 or so slashes in any direction on your targets body; once you have completed and dealt the slashes, deal a powerful final slash where ever you want, I would personally use the make the final strike down the middle of his body.

"And as you perform the each technique I show you, I want you to use this template please."

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique
One/three advantages:
  • 1. You can slash the opponent anywhere you want
  • 2. Doesn't cost that much chakra to perform
  • 3.
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. Because it has to get into short range, my opponent would have time to use an elemental tech to stop it
  • 2.
  • 3.
How you would use it in battle: I would most likely use this after distracting my opponent with something like:
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After performing the required hand seals Tiger → Snake → Dog the user creates an electric current from their hand that can hit multiple individuals at the same time. Furthermore, it extends into incredible distances and can avoid obstacles.

I would also use this after trapping my opponent with:
Rank: C
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user After performing the required hand seals Ram → Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

How you would counter it: I would protect myself from the barrage with a Doton/Suiton technique like:
Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20 (-15 per turn to remain active)
Damage points: N/A (+10 to taijutsu moves)
Description: This Technique coats the users body with stones, making them much more resistant to attacks, at the cost of their speed. Whilst using this technique, the user can even change their appearance, but once the technique is either defeated or worn off the users original appearance is shown. The user whilst in this armor is resistant to B rank ninjutsu techniques but is vulnerable to Lightning Techniques.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary, Defence
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their water chakra and releasing it from their arm which is held outwards infront of them and they then create a shield of water that can aide in defence against projectile weapons and close combat techniques.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): While standing short range from his opponent, Neji draws out his katana from his scabbard and readies himself into his stance. After doing, he sprints at full speed and manages to get behind his opponent, where he gets his first slash with his sword [1]. Neji then comes around and slices his opponent's legs [3] & their chest making an "X" shape [5]. After that short and quick barrage, Neji leaps back 10 meters and runs at full sprint again. This time, he jumps and does a double front flip in the air and lifts his katana over his head. When he is about to land close enough to his opponent, he makes a downward slashing movement & slices them in the sternum-stomach for the final blow.
The final blow looking something like this:

That was outstanding mate.

(Ikari Nomikomu no Jutsu) - Fury Swallow Technique

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: The user punches the opponent a few times and finishes them with two final slashes with their blade or sword.

Go up to my clone and perform a simple forward punch and repeat the punching for a few times, then once you have completed that, grab out your sword and perform two slashes anyway you want, at my clone. This should be enough to make me go poof. This technique is simple yet effective for such a low ranked technique, and can be used in many combos.

Why thank you Lol

(Ikari Nomikomu no Jutsu) - Fury Swallow Technique
One/three advantages:
  • 1. My opponent gets two-pieced before getting sliced up
  • 2. Can be used in many combos
  • 3.
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. Low rank technique
  • 2. Low damage points
  • 3.
How you would use it in battle: I would use this along with my Jyuken taijutsu. I would also use this after blinding my opponent with
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 10
Description: The user spits a thick globule of mud at the target. If aimed correctly, it can blind the target's vision and choke them. It can also be used to create a sticky patch on the ground.

How you would counter it: I would counter the punches using free form, catch my opponent's punch with
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user grabs the opponents extended arm, flipping them around and then strikes them thrice on the back, sending them flying.

or simply using
Rank: D
Type: Defence
Range: Close
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A(+20 if used to block an attack)
Description:The user pushes chakra out of allthere tenketsu and spin creating a dome shield that can fend off most attacks.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): While standing short range from Nathan's clone, Neji rushes towards him. When coming near of the clone, Neji balls his right fist and punches in the nose. In addition he punches the clone two more times in his temple and in the gut; making him gasp for air. After throwing those punches, Neji backs up a little bit and draws out his katana from his scabbard. He then, comes back to the clone and delivers 2 blows; he makes a diagonal slice in the chest and follows up with slicing off his head. (No mercy Lol)

(Enjin Ranbu) - Circular Wild Dance
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user spins with his tantō, hitting the target several times.

I will teach you this one anyway. Take this wooden tanto of mine, then get up close near my clone, then proceed to use the tanto to hit him many times, anyway you want.

(Enjin Ranbu) - Circular Wild Dance
One/three advantages:
  • 1. I get to hit my opponent several times
  • 2.many spinning motions are involved
  • 3. No chakra cost
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. I can get essentially dizzy and loose my balance with the spinning
  • 2. When I am spinning, my opponent has a chance to counter my attack
  • 3. A tanto is really small, so it can be avoided pretty easily
How you would use it in battle: I would use this when my opponent is paralyzed for particular some reason. Or when I'm in a knife fight where someone is wielding a kunai.
How you would counter it: I would counter with free form kenjutsu; more likely when my opponent is doing their first spin.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): Holding a tanto in his right hand , Neji sprints towards his opponent. When he comes near, he preforms a spinning motion before cutting Nathan's clone in the chest [where his heart is at]. He then spins again, going behind him, and manages to slice the clone's right shoulder blade. He continues with these spinning attacks, cutting his leg, arm & waist before aiming his last blow at the clone's throat.

(Rakkasui) - Falling Water
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

Somehow get yourself up into the air, around the mid-air side, above your target then with your sword pointing downwards above them, drill the sword down into them. Handy if you are already up in the air.

  • 2. No chakra cost
  • 3.
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. I have to be in the air
  • 2.
  • 3.
How you would use it in battle: I would use this after activating hidden mist jutsu & hidden mist eye sight deprivation. I would also use this after using the wind stream technique to fly myself over my opponent.

How you would counter it: I would use my Kaiten or I would use
Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): Standing mid range from his opponent, Neji starts to run toward his opponent & immediately jumps in the air. While mid-air, he quickly begins to mold futon chakra and inhales deeply. He then proceeds to exhale the wind from his mouth, propelling himself at his opponent, to the point where he his directly over him. In quick decisiveness, Neji takes out his katana from his scabbard an points it downwards. As he falls towards the ground, he uses his sword to drill into his opponent.
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

(Bakuchi Tori Kuzu Oujou) – Gambling Bird Arrowroot Death
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user bolts in front of the enemy who they then strike with their sword handle before delivering several kicks that sends the enemy into the air. The user then bolts across to the far off location of the enemy who they then punch violently into an obstacle.

Okay with this one, I want you to run up or bolt as it says towards my clone, using your sword handle I want you to hit the clone once, then proceed to kick him, many times and with the finally kick send him up into the air, now as the clone is falling, I want you to punch him so it sends him flying into the tree behind yes, this technique is good since it's one technique with some many attacks, only bad thing is that is your target manages to block/counter lets say the kicks, the whole technique would else flop.

(Bakuchi Tori Kuzu Oujou) – Gambling Bird Arrowroot Death
One/three advantages:
  • 1. A lot of attacks in one move
  • 2. My opponent crashes violently into an object after my attack
  • 3.
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. If countered in the beginning attack, the whole tech would be ruined
  • 2. No slashes with my sword
  • 3.
How you would use it in battle: I probably would use this first in a sword fight, as I don't need to take out my sword yet. I would also most likely use this after blinding my opponent with the mudshot technique.
How you would counter it: I would counter this by using free form to block the initial technique. I would also use
Rank: A
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short (Mid if channeled through a medium)
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A (+10 if used to boost weapon damage)
Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electricity from their body. It can be used as an omnidirectional attack or be channeled through weapons, the ground or other conductive mediums. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it has great numbing and paralyzing effects. To channel Nagashi through a medium, the user needs to focus the technique into one of his hands which will then be put in contact with the medium and can only choose to either do a widespread attack throughout his whole body or to channel it into something; he cannot achieve both usages at the same time. Despite not having much destructive or damaging properties, Nagashi can be used to destroy low rank earthen and wooden structures and even negate chakra on the ground to stop high ranked earth and wood techniques. It has also been noted that Lightning Specialists that have mastered Lightning to the highest degree can resist total paralyzation, although they still feel the pain and numbing effects.
Note: Paralyzation lasts 1 turn if successful but is ineffective against bios who have a primary Lightning Specialty

when my opponent comes close enough.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): Standing mid-range from his opponent, Neji unlatches his sword from it's sash and holds it in his right hand. He then, charges at full speed toward his opponent and in the process, he lifts his right arm and retracts sword back [with the butt of the hilt facing toward them]. When Neji gets close enough, he springs his arm forward and manages to crack his opponent in the nose with the end of his katana hilt. After jabbing them, he performs a series of kicks: He begins with a 360 aerial hook kick to the temple, followed by a low spinning sweep kick to make them loose their balance and finishes by jumping slightly, leaning back & kicking his opponent in the chin [which makes them fly up into the air and repelling them back 30 feet]. As his opponent is falling vertically to the ground, Neji sprints at full speed towards them and manages to punch them in stomach and sends him crashing into a nearby tree.

(Rensei Shinkuken) – Drilling Crimson Blade
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user takes out their blade and channels chakra into it. They then run towards the opponent, slashing them upwards into the air and then appear above him/her, and deliver a sharp, drilling slash down upon them, impelling them into the ground.

Okay so with this one, you'll need to channel some chakra into your blade from there, run towards my clone, then by using your sword slash your sword upwards on the body of my clone, this should push him into the air, then you'll want to appear above him, by using your sword once more hit him with a drilling slash that sends him into the ground, with of course the sword also impelled into him.

(Rensei Shinkuken) – Drilling Crimson Blade
One/three advantages:
  • 1. Chakra is used with the blade
  • 2. Impales my opponent to the ground
  • 3.
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. My opponent has time to counter attack as I'm running towards him
  • 2.
  • 3.
How you would use it in battle: I would most likely use this as a finisher, after my opponent is exhausted and running extremely low on chakra needed to counter.
How you would counter it: I would counter using free from kenjutsu to block the first strike or possibly performing the great vacuum cannon technique to blow them away.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): As Neji is standing short range from his opponent, he takes out his katana from his scabbard and readies himself in his stance. Momentarily, he begins to concentrate as he channels his chakra into the blade. After doing so, he sprints at full speed toward his opponent. When his is close enough, Neji performs an upward sword slash that has enough force to lift his opponent up high into the air. He then quickly jumps up and appears 3 feet above him. With the final blow, he thrust his sword into his opponent's abdomen and uses his weight to send his opponent crashing to the ground [with the sword still impaled in him].

(Suraisu Shinku no Nami) - Slicing Crimson Wave
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user does a simple cresent-shaped slash at the opponent, expelling a red chakra wave.

This one is one of the more used techniques, since it is straight forward and well easy to pull off, what I want you to do is, gather your chakra in your blade and from there, I want you slash downwards to release a crescent shaped slash, at my clone. This technique releases a red wave of chakra, it's handy for targets that are at mid-range of you, and just an overall good technique.

(Suraisu Shinku no Nami) - Slicing Crimson Wave
One/three advantages:
  • 1. Fires a wave of chakra at my opponent
  • 2. Goes to mid range
  • 3. Easy to perform
One/three disadvantages:
  • 1. Only can be used at mid range
  • 2.
  • 3.
How you would use it in battle: I would most likely use this at the beginning of a battle, as I don't need to be no where near my opponent. Also, I would use this to simple distraction as I get ready to perform another technique.
How you would counter it: I would use the same technique to try and cancel it out, free form dodging or simply using a elemental shield.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): As Neji is standing mid range from his opponent, he takes out his katana from his scabbard and readies himself in his stance. Momentarily, he begins to concentrate as he channels his chakra into the blade. After doing so, retracts his sword and then swings his sword in a crescent shape and expels a red wave of chakra that strikes his opponent.
