kenjutsu means the way of sword or techniques that are performed by a sword. it is mostly used by samurai.

kenjutsu appear to be the most needed techs for close range combat. it can also be used as a form of tai or ninjutsu making it versatile for battles. that's why i am interested in the manner of swordsmanship.

that's all i know. :( sorry.

( o.o i just started to watch love hina)

*i grab the handle with my right arm first and place it as close to fuchigane as possible. later i grab it with my left hand placing it closer to the edge of the handle. with my right arm i hold the handle strongly while i keep my left a bit loosen so that i can use it as a lever. spreads out my both arm forward and grabs the sword in a way so that i can only see the opposite side of the blade as a thin line. *

* slashes downwards with both hands*

-later grabs the handle with my right arm only and slashes downwards-

while i use both hands the slash is way more powerful then one handed slash, it also makes a clear cut. but i can't swing the sword however i wishes. on the other hand when i use only my right arm the cutting power is less but i have more flexibility in using this.

  • Vertical
  • Thrust/Stab

Correct, now we will practice the following:
  • Horizontal
  • Vertical
  • Thrust/Stab
  • Diagonal
But before we do tell me about each of them, there path and disadvantges

Horizontal: is a simple slash the user can perform by swinging the sword from his right to left or the opposite horizontally. a horizontal attack can be easily blocked by placing the sword vertically before it can cut the body.

Vertical: the user swing his sword straight from upwards to down to perform a vertical slash. this one can be blocked easyly by placing the sword horizontally.

Thrust: the motion of the object used in a thrusting generally moves perpendicular to and directly into the victim's body, rather than being drawn across it. it would be most dangerous among all four.

Diagonal: the user swing the sword in angle with vertical. it can be performed from upper diagonally downwards or the opposite.

that's all i could tell :( .... can you explain the disadvantages ??
