Thanks.

Well, kenjutsu, in it's simplest form is the art of wielding a sword in battle. Lots of people think a sword is made to kill, but a sword's real strength can be found in protection, protecting what one cares about.

Indeed. So tell me, do you know what the Path of the Warrior is?

No idea. Judging by the name, it's a code of battle or what one must do to be a warrior.

The path of the warrior is the strive for the earnest will and justice over the strive for power and victory. Those who walk down this path respect the sword, and acknowledge it as more than a tool of war, but is a means of protection. It's basically a way of life, not so much as being a warrior code.

I just felt like telling you that. Questions?

I think a One-Handed slash would be faster, but a Two-Handed Slash would have a deeper impact and stronger, cleaner slice.

Err, well . . .

One-Handed Slashes aren't as fast as Two-Handed Slashes, but it makes it provides for better maneuverability, and is much easier to follow up on. Two-Handed Slashes are faster due to the extra force behind each slash, as well as being more powerful than a One-Handed Slash; but you can't maneuver as well as with one hand, as well as it being harder to chain other attacks.

Questions? Comments?

I think I see. I think I mis-explained what I was envisioning. A better way to say it is you can do a One-handed slash quicker, as in it takes less time to actually get to the cutting, rather than the speed of the actual cutting itself.

That looks like a contradiction to me.

I suppose it is. I guess preparation time is what I'm what I'm trying to explain. A One-Handed slash has less preparation since you just grab with one hand.
