Okay so you want to learn water release eh? Why not start off by telling me what water release itself is all about.

Yes, Water release itself is considered the most versatile of all five elements, it can change its state which are pertained to Liquid, Solid, and gas and the user can manipulate its shape into limitless possibilities at will

*Nervously shakes his head*

"Ohh no need for the formalities. I'm here to give you all that I know. And fun fact, Water is my favorite element."

After listening to his student's answer, Kaene nods in acknowledgement as he creates a wave of water from beneath his student's feet and lifts it slightly upward. Smiling at his own prank, Kaene looks over at his student

"Water, is, indeed one of the five basic elements. It is very versatile because as you say, it can take any form. You have also accurately identified its strength and weakness. Water is strong to fire because it can extinguish the flames naturally. It is weak against earth because earth can easily overcome/withstand the force produced by water. Now, there are three ways by which water release can be performed.

1.) Manipulating existing water source. In order to do this, one must apply sufficient chakra to the pre-existing water and use nature transformation to shape it.
2.) Releasing suiton from your own mouth. Gathering suiton chakra inside your body, you can expel the chakra while simultaneously transforming it into water and thus releasing a stream of water instead of chakra.
3.) Creating water outside the body. It takes much more ability to create the water outside the body than to manipulate what is already available or expel it from their mouths.

Now, we know that water is a liquid. However, in this training session you will realize that water infact takes a solid form when utilized with chakra. This property is also utilized when water is used in conjunction with other elements.
1.) Water and lightning can be used together to increase the range of lightning and thus increase damage output.
2.) It can also be used with wind to create typhoons or increase the destructive force of wind itself.

Water is also a component of other Kekkai Genkais like Wood, Ice, Storm and Boil. We will discuss that as we reach higher ranks. That's it for now."

Star Lord adds the reason he chose this element isn't because of its flashiness like its counterpart fire, but because its versatility and advantage in the battlefield both offensively and defensively.

*Star Lord finally bows before his sensei once more after his dismissal**

Okay! So since you are learning nature transformation for the first time let us start with the basics.
You need to first be able to feel the nature of element within you inorder to manipulate/use it. *Hands you a paper*
This is a chakra friendly paper. Once you apply appropriate amount of chakra to it, it will show your elemental affinity. Obviously it is water, but this small experiment will demonstrate you the basic property of what you are going to learn.
Stay focused on this one, it is simple enough. You need to transfer the chakra from your very core to your arms and your palms and finally outside your body to the paper that is in your hand. Go go go!

*grasping the paper firmly, Star Lord takes in a deep breathe*

Visualizing and feeling the very nature of this beatiful element, Star Lord begins to mold the chakra together from within his very core, the chakra begins to channel throughout his body and focuses it upon his arms and into his palms!

*drip.. drip.. splash!*

A small spontaneous amount of water quickly soaks up the paper

Well.. it feels like it's free as in the sense it has no true shape or form, which as you stated before it can take any form.
And of course it feels wet ._.

Ofcourse and that is the most fundamental property of water.

Now, try and release chakra from your arms outward while feeling this fundamental property of water. Feel the water inside you and release your chakra at the same time. Both of the activities should be done at same time.

*feeling and visualizing the very property of water, Star Lord sends chakra towards his arms and out comes a sudden stream of water that floods a little bit of the area around himself*

Kaene, while I was molding my chakra together, I visualized the water as a sharp stream and as I released my chakra I aimed it at the ground but it rendered useless and took shape of the ground after the contact and created a small flood, I can take note that this is because of water's weakness to Earth

Well yes, but remember inorder to learn advanced techniques you need to have idea on the basics first.

Try again, but this time don't release just 'some' water. Shape the water into a small pillar that you can release from your palms.

*wipes sweat*

My apologies z.z , Here we go, let's do this

*Star Lord focuses his chakra into his palms and begins to create the shape of a small pillar while feeling the small amount of water taking its form*

How about now Kaene?

Much better.
It is obvious that you can control chakra easier on your hands. How about trying to release the water pillar from beneath your feet?

*Star Lord focuses all his chakra directly to the bottom of his feet, molding his chakra into the shape of a pillar beneath him he feels his water affinity taking form of this pillar*

How about shaping the water beneath you into a pillar now? You dont need to release the water from your own body but control the one in the surrounding

Ok I think I understand what you want me to do with my chakra

*Star Lord focuses all his chakra towards the very bottom of his feet and channels his chakra into the water surrounding him, Molding his chakra into a pillar, a tall water pillar begins to take form beneath him!*

Now, focus chakra on your mouth and then release a small portion of water from your mouth which still has a bit of momentum

Hmm.. Before I concentrate chakra towards my mouth, without giving the answer away can you tell me what you mean by having a bit of momentum? Not really getting that part

Something having momentum has velocity. I want you to release about a litre of water that you SHOOT out of your mouth like a bullet.
